Have a look at those divine locks. Oh, women, who have rounded bosoms, come and have a look at his divine locks! thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that his divine locks are long. The reason for describing the bosoms of herd-women as kuvi mulaiyIr [being well rounded] is because bosoms represent devotion towards emperumAn and when they are well rounded, the devotion is being nurtured well. thiruvAimozhip piLLai further explains here that while periyAzhwAr enjoys the divine limbs of krishNa, just as nammAzhwAr had enjoyed in his thiruvAimozhi 3-1-1 “mudichchOdhi” padhigam [ten pAsurams], nammAzhwAr started with emperumAn’s divine locks and ended with his divine feet while periyAzhwAr started with his divine feet and ended with his divine locks. The reason for periyAzhwAr calling the herd-women twice “kANIr” “kANIr” [to come and have a look] is due to the fact that they [the herd-women] knew that their svarUpam [basic nature of AthmA, which is SEshathvam, servitude to emperumAn] should be aligned to their prApyam [end-goal, which is attaining emperumAn] and that their prApyam [end-goal] should be aligned to their svarUpam [being a servitor]. It could also be said that they knew emperumAn’s upEyabhAvam [that he is the ultimate goal for them] and his upAyabhAvam [that he is the means for attaining him]. Only if periyAzhwAr shows this way, would mangaLASAsanam [protecting and praising emperumAn] get fulfilled.

We shall next consider the last pAsuram of this thirumozhi.

adiyEn krishNa rAmAnuja dhAsan

archived in https://divyaprabandham.koyil.org

pramEyam (goal) – http://koyil.org
pramANam (scriptures) – http://granthams.koyil.org
pramAthA (preceptors) – http://acharyas.koyil.org
SrIvaishNava education/kids portal – http://pillai.koyil.org

SrI: SrImathE SatakOpAya nama: SrImathE rAmAnujAya nama: Sri varavaramunayE nama: periyAzhwAr thirumozhi >> First Centum >> Second Decad Previous avathArikai (Introduction) Subsequent to enjoying the beauty of krishNa’s divine forehead, AzhwAr enjoys the beauty of his divine locks. azhagiya paimbonnin kOl angaik koNdukazhalgaL sadhangai kalandhu engum Arppamazha kanRu inangaL maRiththuth thirivAnkuzhalgaL irundhavA kANIrE kuvi mulaiyIr! vandhu kANIrE Word-by-Word Meanings … Read more

[10,717,718

post-56282","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-mudhalayiram","category-periyazhwar-thirumozhi","category-periyazhwar-thirumozhi-1st-centum
["GET
