Come and have a look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Simple Translation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>krishNa, even before he reached the age of maturity, had carried out activities which uplifted all the worlds. Look at the divine eyebrows of that krishNa, who has a form which is dark and radiant like a gemstone, and who was given birth to by dhEvakip pirAtti, after she had carried out penance. Oh, women, who have adorned your bosoms with ornaments! Come and have a look at his divine eyebrows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>paruvam \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; unlike chakravarthith thirumagan [SrI rAma, the divine son of emperor dhaSaratha chakravarthi) who killed his enemies after he had grown up beyond the age of maturity, and uplifted the world, since krishNa was, just as it has been said in the previous pAsuram \u201c<em>thiNkoL asuraraith thEya vaLarginRAn<\/em>\u201d, growing up to annihilate monsters to enable the worlds to get uplifted, he destroyed monsters such as pUthanA, Sakata et al even when he was in the cradle-stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>thiruvin vadivu okkum dhEvaki peRRa<\/strong> \u2013 dhEvakip pirAtti, who has the nature of periya pirAtti, had observed penance in order to give birth to krishNa. Since it has been mentioned as <em>thiru vadivu okkum<\/em>, the meaning meant in the first pAsuram, <em>uL amudhu anna dhEvaki<\/em>, has been explicitly mentioned here. thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says that the term <em>thiruvin vadivu okkum<\/em> refers to their having matching quality in one aspect amidst different qualities [the quality of assisting in uplifting the world \u2013 periya pirAtti, through her quality of <em>purushakAra bhUthai<\/em> (recommendatory role) helps in uplifting the world while dhEvakip pirAtti, by giving birth to krishNa, uplifted the world through him].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>uruvu \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; one who has a dark form which was shining like a gemstone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>puruvam \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; look at the beauty of his divine eyebrows, which appear like the sugarcane bow of <em>madhanan<\/em> [kAman, deity for love]. Oh women, who have your bosoms decorated with ornaments! Come and have a look. thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that the term <em>pUN mulaiyIr<\/em> refers to decoration for the soul, manifesting devotion.
