The auspicious meanings the he gave can be fully trusted {thiruvAi?}.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>innaruLAl<\/em> \u2013<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/19\/thiruvaimozhi-pillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhip piLLai<\/a> tries for my revival (ujjeevanam), due to his causeless mercy (nirhEthuka krupai),<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/pillailokacharyar-nayanar-thiruvaimozhipillai-mamunigal.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1794\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/pillailokacharyar-nayanar-thiruvaimozhipillai-mamunigal.jpg\" alt=\"pillailokacharyar-nayanar-thiruvaimozhipillai-mamunigal\" width=\"543\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/pillailokacharyar-nayanar-thiruvaimozhipillai-mamunigal.jpg 543w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/pillailokacharyar-nayanar-thiruvaimozhipillai-mamunigal-300x280.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 543px) 100vw, 543px\" \/><\/a><em><a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/pillai-lokachryar\/\">piLLai lOkAcharyar<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nayanar\/\">nAyanAr<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi-pillai\/\">thiruvAimozhip piLLai<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>vandha upadhEsa mArkkaththai<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 the history of the advice\/instructions he gave by coming to do that; combine this phrase with the phrase that comes later, <em>\u2018upadhEsamAi pEsuginREn\u2019 <\/em>(saying\/passing on\/repeating) those advice\/instructions). This is following the words\/path of what <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pUrvAchAryas<\/a> said (sudhdha sampradhAyam &#8211; pure lineage), and not saying whatever came to mind and insisting that to be the truth, as <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mAmunigAL<\/a> says in a later pAsuram \u2018<em>than nenjil thORRinathE solli, idhu suththa upadhEsa<strong>para vArththai<\/strong> enbar<\/em> [71]<em>\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>So based on the three aforementioned phrases (of the pAsuram?), the association for which he was the target, completeness of true knowledge, and completeness of kindness, are his (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mAmunigaL<\/a>&#8216;s) shelter.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>enthai thiruvAimozhip piLLai innaruLAl vandha<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>As said in \u2018<em>thAyAith thanthaiyAi <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 2.3.2]\u2019, and \u2018<em>annaiyAi aththanAi<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/01\/kanninun-chiru-thambu-4-nanmaiyal\/\">kaNNinUNchiruththAmbu \u2013 4<\/a>]\u2019, he is present as my mother and head. As being present as my father, like how one would squirt out into the floor the excessive breast milk, he as a father showed excessive kindness towards me. Like said in <em>\u2018eyiRRidai maN koNda enthai irAppagal Odhuviththu ennai<\/em> [periyAzhvAr thirumozhi &#8211; 5.2.3]<em>\u2019<\/em> (~ emperumAn as a father taught me all the time), thinking about the ways that came in the lineage, through the blessings of his natural father-figure <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/19\/thiruvaimozhi-pillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhip piLLai<\/a>, is how <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mAmunigAL<\/a> is doing this upadhEsam (advice\/instructions).<\/p>\n<p>That is, as said in \u2018<em>vivasvAn manavE prAha manur ikshvAkavE abravIth &#8211; Evam paramparA prAptha<\/em> [<a href=\"http:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/\">bhagavath gIthA<\/a> &#8211; 4-1]\u2019 (~ sUryan taught vaivasvatha manu; manu taught his son ikshvAku), as the pristine way of knowledge (parisudhdha gyAna mArgam) that came in the lineage, is being considered about.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>mArkkaththaich chinthai seidhu<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 think about the ways\/history<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pinnavarum kaRka \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>for the future generation that is going to follow his ways, for them to learn to be in the correct ways; for them to learn, properly as said in \u2018<em>munnOr mozhindha muRai thappAmal kEttup pinnOrndhu <\/em>[upadhEsa raththinamAlai &#8211; 71] (properly learn what the previous AchAryas have said, and follow\/repeat) \u2019.<\/p>\n<p>That is, as said in \u2018<em>neRi uLLi uraiththa<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/06\/thiruvaimozhi-1-3-5-pinakkara-aruvagai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi 1.3.5<\/a>] (~ thought through the correct ways\/vEdhas and then explained it), everything that <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mAmunigaL<\/a>, who knows everything, says, are like \u2018<em>sollum avidu suruthiyAm<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/05\/gyana-saram-40-alli-malar-pavaikku\/\">gyAna sAram \u2013 40<\/a>]\u2019 (~whatever is said is the vEdhas), that is, they are of higher reference (pramANa thamam), and are to be reasons for future generations to trust, learn, and follow; he has thought through that and divined this prabandham for us.<\/p>\n<p>{now, the word &#8216;pEsuginREn&#8217; (saying) is combined with other words of the pAsuram in different interesting ways below, and it brings out the salient thoughts of maNavALa <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mAmunigaL<\/a> as he set out to write this prabandham}<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>upadhEsamAip pEsuginREn \u2013 <\/em><\/strong> {am saying these as advice} (this prabandham has got) it is the weight of meanings of the topic; this prabandham talks in the range &#8211; from those interested in surrendering, up to those who are interested in gaining the acceptance of an <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryan<\/a> which is the ultimate state;\u00a0 these are the topics that it talks about as advice, isn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p>When advising the distinguished meanings, as \u2018<em>pinnavarum karka upadhEsamAyp pEsuginrEn\u2019, <\/em>unlike how <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/19\/thiruvaimozhi-pillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhip piLLAi<\/a> taught him one-on-one (OrAN vazhi), he is saying that he is enriching through this prabandham for all the sentient people to learn and attain the ultimate goal.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>sindhai seidhu pEsuginREn<\/em> \u2013\u00a0 <\/strong>{am saying these after thinking through} His &#8211; \u2018<em>yadhvi manasA dhyAyathi thadh vAchA vadhathi <\/em>[thaiththrIyam AraNyakam 1.23]\u2019 (what he meditates\/thinks in his mind, he says that) &#8211; is this prabandham.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pEsuginREn manniya seer veNpAvil vaiththu \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>{am saying these in the form of great veNpA form of thamizh poetry} when doing that (prabandham\/advice), he did so in veNpA (thamizh poetry form); that is, there are many poetry forms for thamizh, like veNpa, kaliththuRai, etc. Out of this, the last prabandham (in 4000) that is rAmAnusa nURRanthAdhi is based on kaliththurai; this prabandham is based on the metric of veNpA which is simpler for learning \u2013 that is how <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> who loves thamizh has divined this prabandham; he is advising only so that others could learn; veNpA is easy to learn in a couple of practices, that simple this form is.<\/p>\n<p>To explain about the adjective \u2018seer\u2019 for the vENpA \u2013 its greatness is like said in \u2018<em>pugazh malindha pA <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/07\/ramanusa-nurranthadhi-1\/\">rAmAnusa nURRanthAdhi \u2013 1<\/a>]\u2019; this is also full of greatness. As said in \u2018<em>eNNarum seer poigai munnOr <\/em>[30]<em>\u2019, <\/em>this greatness of this prabandham goes well with their (AzhvArs&#8217;) greatness; to match that greatness, this prabandham is in the great veNpA.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pEsuginREn \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>{saying} The meaning said in \u2018<em>pEsumaLavanRidhu <\/em>[periya thirumozhi 2.4.9]\u2019, not being able to tolerate the wrong ways of everyone, I am saying it openly to bring it out in the open; you may listen or avoid, but I would not be able to survive without saying it (as advice\/instructions).
