He has stolen all my possessions and carries out mischiefs towards girls. If I were to see him. by chance, I will uproot this useless bosom and throw it against his chest, thus ridding myself of my sorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>vyAkyAnam (Commengary)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>uLLE urugi naivEnai<\/strong> \u2013 just as it has been said in thirumalai 34 \u201c<em>uLLuvAruLLiRRellAm udanirundhu aRidhiyenRE<\/em>\u201d (you know the thoughts of those who are thinking, by being together with them, since you the <em>sarvAntharyAmi<\/em> (indwelling soul of everything and everyone), I cannot say that he is neglecting me by not knowing that I am melting inside and languishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>naivEnai<\/strong> \u2013 when asked whether you cannot say that \u201cI am languishing in this manner\u201d, the response is \u2013 when rivers and ponds get filled up, the excess water alone overflows; when I am languishing inside, through my words and deeds, you could comprehend to an extent my extent of languishing, but there is no way that I could fully speak about the extent of my languishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>uLalO ilaLO ennAdha<\/strong> \u2013 though his affection towards me has vanished, will even compassion towards a girl vanish? He has not even asked, on account of compassion, whether \u201cShe is alive or dead\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>koLLai koLLi<\/strong> \u2013 Did he merely stop enquiring about me, without any compassion? Has he not stolen every one of my possessions? Is this correct?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>kuRumbanai<\/strong> \u2013 How did SrI nandhagOpar give birth to a boy who will carry out mischiefs in his SrI gOkulam and wander around everywhere!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>gOvarththananai<\/strong> \u2013 he will nurture cows such that they multiply manifold. However, he will put down the girls such that they cannot live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>kaNdakkAl<\/strong> \u2013 it is difficult to see him since he keeps running behind cows. If one were to see him, after striving a lot\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>koLLum payan onRillAdha<\/strong> \u2013 since he has gone after the cows, neglecting us, there is no benefit to be attained through these bosoms which exist solely for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>kongai thannai kizhangOdum<\/strong> \u2013 Here, the <em>kizhangu<\/em> (root) for the bosom is her AthmA (soul) alone. In <em>svApadhESam<\/em> (distinguished meaning), bosom represents <em>bhakthi<\/em> (devotion) which is enjoyable for the supreme being. It is pertinent to note that the repository for that <em>bhakthi<\/em> is <em>AthmA<\/em>. Don\u2019t wise people say \u201cFor this body, which has several limbs, the sustaining force is <em>AthmA<\/em>. That is permanent, indestructible\u201d? bhagavadh gIthA 2-24 says \u201c<em>achchEdhyO\u00fdam adhAhyO\u00fdam aklEdhyO\u2019SOshya Evacha<\/em> l<em> nithyas sarvagatha<\/em>:<em> sthANurachalO\u00fdam sanAthana<\/em>: ll\u201d (AthmA, which permeates all through the body, cannot be severed; it cannot be burnt; it cannot be wet; it cannot be dried. Hence, AthmA is permanent, firm, immovable and existing since time immemorial). Thus, she is trying to uproot that AthmA, which cannot be caught hold of by hand, along with her bosom. This is the extent to which her pang of separation is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>avan mArvil eRindhu<\/strong> \u2013 with the opinion that he should suffer the way that she has suffered all along, with her bosom, she says that even while throwing the bosom she is not saying that she will throw it on the floor, but is saying that she will throw it on his chest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>en azhalai thIrvEnE<\/strong> \u2013 only if he were to come and hug, could one become ecstatic.
