If he were to mercifully come here today and consume the hundred pots of butter and hundred pots of <em>akkAravadisil<\/em> [which I had proffered to him earlier] and if he were to reside permanently in my mind, I, his servitor, will proffer him a hundred thousand pots for each pot consumed and will also carry out all types of servitude to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>vyAkyAnam (Commentary)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>inRu vandhu iththanaiyum amudhu seydhidappeRil<\/strong> \u2013 The term <em>indRu vandhu<\/em> could be split either as \u201c<em>inRu vandhu<\/em>\u201d [coming today] or as \u201c<em>inRu uvandhu<\/em>\u201d [being happy, today]. In the word-by-word meanings above, the meaning for the first case [<em>inRu vandhu<\/em>] has already been shown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>inRu uvandhu amudhu seydhidap peril<\/strong> \u2013 it is not enough if he were to come and consume the food, as I had beseeched him to, without refusing it. He should consume it with happiness making it clear that he would not be able to sustain himself, without consuming it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>iththanaiyum<\/strong> \u2013 the hundred pots of butter and the hundred pots of <em>akkAravadisil<\/em>. Just as periyAzhwAr had said in periyAzhwAr thirumozhi 3-5-1 \u201c<em>attukkuvi sORRup paruppadhamum thayir vAviyum neyyaLaRum adangap ottaththuRRu<\/em>\u201d, for one who had eaten completely a mountain of cooked rice, a stream of curd and a mound of ghee, and who had swallowed all the worlds [at the time of deluge], this is not a great quantity of food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>amudhu seydhidappeRil<\/strong> \u2013 this alone is her benefit. She was not born in a clan which will make this as a means to attain some other benefit. Isn\u2019t she the daughter of periyAzhwAr who had said in periyAzhwAr thirumozhi 5-1-4 \u201c<em>kURai SORu ivai vENduvadhillai<\/em>\u201d [we will not pray to you for clothes, food etc]! Moreover, isn\u2019t she mercifully saying that she will proffer a hundred thousand pots of food to him? What is the benefit which he will derive then? There is a saying in the world \u201c<em>prayOjanam anudhdhiSya na mandhOpi pravarthadhE<\/em>\u201d (even a fool will not undertake an activity without expecting any benefit).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>nAN onRu nURayiramAk koduththup pinnum Alum seyvan<\/strong> \u2013 I have come only to proffer and not to accept; if he consumes hundred pots of food, I will give a hundred thousand pots. Along with that, I will carry out further servitude. The hundred thousand pots of butter, hundred thousand pots of <em>akkAravadisil<\/em> and my servitude are the benefits which he will derive. The happiness which he gets out of consuming all these is the benefit for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>nAn<\/strong> \u2013 Am I not one who had beseeched him such that he is happy? For him, the benefit is consuming the hundred thousand pots of food proffered to him. For me, who is trembling with the urge to attain the benefit, carrying out kainkaryam is the benefit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>pinnum ALum seyvan<\/strong> \u2013 When I am going to give him hundred thousand pots of what he was happy to consume, will I let go of the kainkaryam which I desire?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>thenRal maNam kamazhum thirumAlirunjOlai thannuL ninRa pirAn adiyEm manaththE vandhu nErpadil \u2026. pinnum ALum seyvan<\/strong> \u2013 more than the hundred pots of butter and <em>akkAravadisil<\/em>, isn\u2019t her servitude which he is desiring? Instead of attaining something novel, isn\u2019t getting servitude, which is ancient, ready always but which he had missed for a longtime, the one which he will be happy with? Did he not incarnate as kaNNan and steal butter etc, only to enslave <em>chEthanas<\/em> (entities with knowledge)?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ALum seyvan<\/strong> \u2013 she is desiring the same which nammAzhwAr, in whose clan she was born and who is like her father, had desired, as he had said in his <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/08\/thiruvaimozhi-3-3-1-ozhivil-kalam\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"10058\">thiruvAimozhi 3-3-1<\/a> \u201c<em>vazhuvilA adimai seyyavENdum nAm<\/em>\u201d (we should carry out faultless servitude).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>thenRal maNam kamazhum \u2026 pirAn adiyEn manaththE vandhu nEr padil<\/strong> \u2013 since he is emperumAn who has as his nature showering benefits to others, not entering my mind is not due to any deficiency on his part. When he set out to enter my mind, the gentle breeze which wafted in thirumAlirunjOlai, carrying fragrance, should have tied him down to that place. Despite that hurdle of residing in that abode, if he were to mercifully reside in my mind \u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>adiyEn manaththE vandhu nErpadil \u2026.. pinnum ALum seyvan<\/strong> \u2013 just as I had desired \u201c<em>vazhuvilA adimai seyya vENdum nAm<\/em>\u201d, if he were to mercifully reside in my mind, I will carry out servitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>adiyEn<\/strong> \u2013 isn\u2019t carrying out servitude the natural benefit since time immemorial?
