Without considering that it is your place of dwelling, you had occupied the entire sky. Is it not famously known that sky is without any boundary? At the moment when you appeared, you had swallowed that sky, and risen uproariously. When carrying out this task, the clouds worked unitedly.

vEngadaththuth thEn koNda malar sidhaRath thiraNdERip pozhivIrgAL – what is the purpose in scattering good entities such as flowers, which are full of honey! If you could convey message such that he and I unite, there will be benefit. If we look at the activity that you undertake, after all of you (clouds) join together in huge assemblies, it is only to destroy the flowers. What is the benefit for me, due to this? Instead of destroying flowers like this, see if you can find a way for uniting me, called as kOdhai (garland) and who has the appearance of a garland, with him. Just as it has been said in SrI rAmAyaNam sundhara kANdam 16-25 “naishA paSyathi rAkshasya: nEmAn pushpa paladhrumAn l Ekastha hrudhayA nUnam rAmamEvAnupaSyathi ll” (this pirAtti did not see the rAkshasis (female demons); she did not see these fruits and trees. It appears that with a single focus, she is seeing only SrI rAma). As mentioned in this, did you [addressing the clouds] destroy the flowers, thinking that they were a hurdle to my uniting with him? The clouds appeared to ask her “What do you want us to do?”

Un koNda vaLLugirAl – with nails which are sharp and which are attached to flesh

iraNiyan udal idandhAn – When the father who sired him, turned out to be his foe, prahlAdhan had taken a solemn vow as in thiruvAimozhi 2-8-9 “engumuLan kaNNan” (emperumAn has pervaded everywhere); appearing from a pillar, emperumAn had torn the body of hiraNyan the enemy of prahlAdhan. For a son, there is none who is closer than a father. When his father himself turned out as a foe, emperumAn became closer than hiraNyan, to prahlAdhan. The reason for saying this here is – she is telling the clouds to inform emperumAn that she is asking “when you help when others turn out as foes, could you not help when you become the foe?” She is asking the clouds to tell him “Being the head of all the celestial entities, you had transformed into a human body with the head of a lion, which was not appropriate to your eminence.
