Simple Translation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Oh, the divine conch! No one respects any of the many other conches, which live along with you in the same ocean, as an entity. You have been, for a long time, drinking the nectar from the mouth of madhusUdhanan, who is lord of all. How fortunate, are you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n vyAkyAnam (Commentary)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n unnOdudanE \u2026.. eNNuvArillai kAN<\/strong> \u2013 In the same ocean where you lived, there are many other conches. But there is no one who has given a name to any of those conches. How great is it that you had lived a unique life! The implied meaning is that there is none who would think of the svarUpam<\/em> (basic nature), referred to by the term innAr<\/em> in the pAsuram or their characteristics, referred to by the term inaiyAr<\/em> in the pAsuram, for all those other conches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n mannAgi ninRa<\/strong> \u2013 One who is the head of all the worlds, as mentioned in mahAbhAratham ASva parvam 43-13 \u201crAjAdhi rAjas sarvEshAm vishNur brahmamayO mahAn<\/em> l ISvaram tham vijAnIma<\/em>: sa pithA sa prajApathi<\/em> ll\u201d (vishNu alone is the radiant entity who is the emperor of all the kings, who is eminent as brahmasvarUpi<\/em> (with the nature of the supreme entity). We all know him alone as ISvaran<\/em> (one who controls all). He alone is the father; he is also the progenitor).<\/p>\n\n\n\n madhusUdhan<\/strong> \u2013 one who annihilated the monster, madhu. This (madhusUdhanan) is not merely a divine name, but implies that he has the nature of weeding out hurdles for his followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n vAy amudham<\/strong> \u2013 the nectar from the divine mouth of one who has such eminence<\/p>\n\n\n\n pannALum uNginRAy<\/strong> \u2013 we, his consorts, are the ones who have to constantly drink in that nectar.
