She heard the gOpikAs singing praise of chakravarthy thirumagan in the previous thirumALigai, and so decides not to keep quiet and asks the gOpikAs when they came to her door, about the rAma nAma sankIrthanam. Because he is so bad, they do not want to say his name in the pAsuram; <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirumangai mannan<\/a> also said \u2018<em>mun poLa irAvaNan<\/em>\u2019 to say that his main defect is his pollAngu (bad deeds).<\/p>\n<p>Our ahankAram;<\/p>\n<p><strong>kiLLik kaLaindhAnai<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Like how we snatch out the leaves affected by insects and leave the good ones in the tree, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perumAn<\/a> saved vibIshanAzhvAn and snatched the head of pOllA arakkans like rAvaNan.<\/p>\n<p>pollA arakkanai (does not destroy the Good aspect of ahankAram, which is \u2013 when \u2018aham\u2019 (I), and \u2018mama\u2019 (mine) make us think that <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Isvaran<\/a> and His belongings are liked by us; srIvaishNavas living with the realization that being subservient to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perumAn<\/a> is their nature. <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perumAn<\/a> would help us keep this good thing.<\/p>\n<p>pollA \u2013 Bad, ahankAram \u2013 feeling of an independence from <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perumAn<\/a>, feeling that we can decide about something on our own without considering what the scriptures say \u2013 He helps us by snatching away only such bad aspects without affecting the good aspects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>kIrthimai<\/strong> &#8211; greatness due to valor;<\/p>\n<p>Enemies, and others who supported them, lost themselves to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perumAn<\/a> \u2013 rAvaNan for perumAL&#8217;s valor, his sister melted for His beauty, and his brother became the target of His kindness\/greatness.<\/p>\n<p>So it goes without saying that we His adiyArs would fall flat on His lotus feet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>pAdip pOi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thing to do while on our way to go to Him is to sing His names; they won\u2019t go if they don\u2019t sing; singing itself is their goal; mukthan would be taking puNdarIkAkshan\u2019s divine names as the journey-food (food that is packed along for consumption during the journey), while going to paramapadham.<\/p>\n<p><strong>piLLaigaL ellArum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>even those little gOpikAs whom we have to wake up have already woken up and are on their way for the nOnbu<\/p>\n<p><strong>pAvaik kaLam pukkAr<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>to the place where we and krishNan have marked to meet for doing nOnbu.<\/p>\n<p>(bhAgavathas woke up early and went to the place of kAlakshEpam).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Is it dawn already for them to be going now?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>veLLi ezhundhu viyAzham uRangiRRu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>sukran (veLLi) has risen in the sky, and the bruhaspathi (vyAzham) is set.<\/p>\n<p>(agyAnam fell and gyAnam about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perumAn<\/a> rose)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Any star you see, you would think it is veLLi rising and vyAzham setting&#8221;, (because you are always thinking of a reason to start going for the nOnbu)<\/p>\n<p>They reply, &#8220;not only that sign, \u2026&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>puLLum silmabina, kAN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All the birds too &#8211; they have not only woken up, but are also making noise as they have started going to find their food.<\/p>\n<p>(remaining bhAgavathas have also gotten ready and gone to kAlakshEpam)<\/p>\n<p><strong>pOdhari kaNNinAi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O, gOpikA, whose eyes are like a flower (podhu: flower)<\/p>\n<p>and like those of a deer (ari -&gt; deer);<\/p>\n<p>Or, like how a bee inside the center of a flower would look like. ( ari -&gt; bee)<\/p>\n<p>Or, your eyes are winning the competition against flowers on beauty.<\/p>\n<p>We want krishNan to go deep in to the water that is the beauty of your eyes, and seeing that, we want to go deep in to the water that is kaNNan&#8217;s beauty and your being with him (\u0b89\u0bae\u0bbf\u0bb4\u0bcd \u0ba8\u0bc0\u0bb0\u0bcd \u0b89\u0ba3\u0bcd\u0ba3\u0bb2\u0bcd).\u00a0 (bhAgavatha sambandham);<\/p>\n<p>The gOpikA inside is a deer with beautiful long eyes; krishNan is aravindhalOchanan (lotus eyes) who owns the whole world; and we are the target of both your eyes.<\/p>\n<p>(O the bhAgavathA who has the gyAnam and bhakthi to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perumAn<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>==&gt; <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr <\/a>\u2013 In this pAsuram, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/12\/16\/andal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ANdAL<\/a> is referring to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/21\/thiruppanazhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruppANAzhvAr <\/a>by saying &#8216;<em>pOdharik kaNNinAi<\/em>&#8216;. He sang so much about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perumAn<\/a>&#8216;s eyes in his only prabandham of amalanAdhipirAn: &#8216;<em>adiyArkku ennai At paduththa vimalan<\/em>&#8216;, &#8216;<em>en kaNNin uLLana<\/em>&#8216;, &#8216;<em>koNdal vaNNanai kOvalanAi \u2026 en amudhinaikkaNda kaNgaL<\/em>&#8216;\u2026 so <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/12\/16\/andal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ANdAL<\/a> is calling him &#8216;pOdharikkaNNinAi&#8217;. He sang &#8216;<em>chathura mAmadhiL sUzh ilangaikku iRaivan thalai paththu udhira Otti Or vengaNai uyththavan<\/em>&#8216;, and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/12\/16\/andal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ANdAL<\/a> is saying here, &#8216;<em>pOllA arakkanai kiLLi-k kaLaindhAnai<\/em>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>kuLLakkuLira<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>before the sun rises and water becomes warm<\/p>\n<p><strong>kudaindhu nIrAdAdhE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>without bathing to reduce our thApam for not being able to see kaNNan, and making sure we will never miss Him, and that we would go and enjoy His anubhavam, you are still sleeping;<\/p>\n<p>(without entering the place of kAlakshEpam and enjoyng bhagavath anubhavam along with other bhAgavathas)<\/p>\n<p><strong>paLLik kidaththiyO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>you are lying down in the bed \u2013 you are just enjoying the fragrance of the bed that had been touched by krishNan&#8217;s thirumEni (divine form), instead of going to krishNan \u2013 this is like collecting and eating a few grains when there is so much of them available grown in the paddies.<\/p>\n<p>(doing bhagavath anubhavam staying alone?)<\/p>\n<p><strong>pAvAi nI<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>you are not of the nature to be alone, (you always want to join the other bhAgavathas and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perumAn<\/a> for kainkaryam).<\/p>\n<p><strong>nan nALAl<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The future from today are good days, unlike the rAvaNan days where there was separation; we don&#8217;t know what the elders will say after this month &#8211; we got a good month to be with krishNan, but you are smelling the bed lying down;<\/p>\n<p><strong>aithIhyam -&gt;<\/strong> for vaikunta EkAdhasi, <a href=\"http:\/\/ponnadi.blogspot.in\/2012\/11\/archavathara-anubhavam-bhattar-anubhavam.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">parAsara bhattar<\/a>\u2019s thiruththAyAr (mother) ANdAL had done upavAsam (fasting), and next day she asked <a href=\"http:\/\/ponnadi.blogspot.in\/2012\/11\/archavathara-anubhavam-bhattar-anubhavam.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bhattar<\/a> for thIrtham; since vaikunta EkAdhasi comes during the great days of pagal paththu and rAppaththu uthsavams, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/11\/parasara-bhattar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bhattar<\/a> asked his mother, &#8216;why did you choose <em>this<\/em> EkAdhasi for doing fasting?&#8217; (this means, when one needs strength to enjoy the uthsavams, this EkAdhasi is coming in between the uthsavams; or it means, when during uthsavam we should be thinking of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> all the time, where was the time to think of food and do upavAsam to avoid the food?
