[In the previous decad] AzhwAr fell at emperumAn’s divine feet, surrendered unto him and prayed to him saying “You should mercifully eliminate the hurdles for enjoyment with your highness” as in “adiyEn idaraik kaLaiyAy<\/em>“; emperumAn too set out to do the same; but that was not sufficient to AzhwAr; due to the urge in the attainment of the goal, he lost his natural mood [of being AzhwAr]; he assumed the form of a pirAtti (consort) who naturally united with emperumAn and got separated, and started blabbering in sorrow of separation; he then assumed the mood of such pirAtti’s mother and speaks this decad in that mood.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
