previous (iRaivanaik kANum)<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>pAsuram \u2013 10<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Introduction (given by <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Says that those who keep in their head the divine feet of those who are fond of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a>, who is of the nature of praising the divine feet of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pEyAzhvAr<\/a>, are the ever great ones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Introduction (given by <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/04\/08\/pillai-lokam-jiyar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">piLLai lOkam jIyar<\/a>)<\/strong><br \/>\nBy the previous two pAsurams \u2013 he talked about how the thick darkness that is ignorance (of external and internal things and beings) which was impossible for anyone in the world to escape from was destroyed by the two prabandhams given by <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">poigai<\/a> AzhvAr and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bhUthathAzhvAr<\/a>; after that,<br \/>\n<em>kOvaluL<\/em> <em>mAmalarAL<\/em> <em>thannodum<\/em> <em>Ayanai<\/em> \u2013 in <a href=\"https:\/\/koyil.org\/index.php\/dhivya-dhesams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirukkOvalUr<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sridhEvi (thirumagaL)<\/a>, in krishNAvathAram where he showed up for everyone to see his piousness towards his devotees;<br \/>\n<em>kaNdamai<\/em> \u2013 the way he made them to see him<br \/>\n<em>kAttum<\/em> \u2013 was shown (to us) by<br \/>\n<em>thamizhth<\/em> <em>thalaivan<\/em> \u2013 pEyAzhvar who is the head of thamizh<br \/>\n<em>pon<\/em> <em>adi<\/em> \u2013 whose very desirable divine feet<br \/>\n<em>pORRum<\/em> \u2013 (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a> who is) of the nature of praising (such divine feet)<br \/>\n<em>irAmAnusarkku<\/em> \u2013 in the matters of such <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a><br \/>\n<em>anbu<\/em> \u2013 love<br \/>\n<em>pUNdavar<\/em> <em>thAL<\/em> \u2013 the divine feet of those who wear such love towards <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a> as jewels<br \/>\n<em>chenniyil<\/em>&#8211; in their heads<br \/>\n<em>sUdum<\/em> <em>thiru<\/em> <em>udaiyAr<\/em> \u2013 those who are having the wealth of keeping such feet (in their heads)<br \/>\n<em>enRum<\/em> <em>sIriyarE<\/em> \u2013 any time, they are the great ones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>manniya pEr iruL mANda pin<\/strong> &#8211; manniya pEr iruL \u2013 Darkness that is ignorance which is hard to remove other than by understanding the thathvam (being\/truth), such grand darkness that is holding on tight to the <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">AthmA<\/a>. sthOthra rathnam 49 &#8211; \u201c<em>avivEka ganAndha dhingmukhE bahuthA santhatha dhu:kavarshiNi | bhagavan bava dhurdhinE<\/em>\u201d (~the big ignorance that is showering the sadness, in this samsAram (material life)),<\/p>\n<p><strong>mANda pin<\/strong> \u2013 after such a darkness had been destroyed. That is, after the <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first two AzhvArs<\/a> before this <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pEyAzhvAR<\/a>, that is, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">poigai<\/a> AzhvAr and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bhUthathAzhvAr<\/a> had lighted the lamp that was complete in all aspects, had destroyed that ignorance; \u201c<em>gu-sabhdha: andhakArathyAthu; ru-sabdha: than nirOdhaka: andhakAra nirOdhithvAthu gururithyabidhIyathE<\/em>\u201d (gu-darkness; ru-removes it; since he removes the darkness the teacher is the guru);\u00a0 after the first two AzhwArs had destroyed such darkness without trace;<\/p>\n<p><strong>kOvaluL mAmalarAL thannodum<\/strong> &#8211; As said in \u201c<em>oNdodiyAL thirumagaLum nIyumE nilAniRpa<\/em>\u201d [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 4.9.10], and \u201c<em>agalakillEn iRaiyum enRu alarmEl mangai uRai mArbhA<\/em>\u201d [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 6.10.10], and \u201c<em>rukmiNI krishNa jananI<\/em>\u201d, (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> visualized) perumAn along with pirAtti who is purushakAra bHUthai (who recommends us to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>),<\/p>\n<p><strong>mAyanai<\/strong> \u2013 incarnating as krishNan, the diplomacy he showed by going, with the message tied to his neck, as a messenger of pANdavas; doing such lowly actions like as a charioteer whom arjunan directed by using his feet; wielding the weapon after saying he won\u2019t, making day as night, lifting of gOvardhan, taking arjunan very near the nithya vibHUthi (srI vaikuNtam) {to bring back the child of a vaidhika person, the child which arjunan had promised to protect but could not; that child had been taken to srIvaikuNtam by srIdhEvi nAchchiAr}, and advising him with charmaOpAyam (ultimate means \u2013 mOksham &#8211; (charama slOkam)) \u2013 such <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sarvEswaran<\/a> with unimaginable qualities;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ayanai<\/strong> {the \u2018m\u2019 sound of thamizh here could be stopped in the previous word and thus split this word as Ayanai} \u2013 Or, AyanAr \u2013 Mr. Cowherd. Or, krishNan with such above qualities and playfulness. {even today the palace of jIyar (pontiff) at <a href=\"https:\/\/koyil.org\/index.php\/dhivya-dhesams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirukkOvalUr<\/a> is called \u2018AyanAr matam\u2019}.<\/p>\n<p><strong>kaNdamai<\/strong> \u2013 what was seen \u2013 with the light that is knowledge which removed the darkness that is ignorance, as he visualized (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn with his consort<\/a>) all such above qualities of doing lowly actions (for the devotees), and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> told everyone about it for their betterment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>kAttum<\/strong> &#8211; He showed through his dhivya prabandham starting with \u201c<em>thiruk kaNdEn pon mEni kaNdEn, thigazhum arukkaN aNi niRamum kaNdEn, serukkiLarum, ponnAzhi kaNdEn puri sankam kaik kaNdEn, en Azhi vaNNan pAl inRu<\/em>\u201d [mUnRAm thiruvanthAdhi \u2013 1] (~saw the consort, saw the golden body (of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>), saw the beautiful colour, saw the conch and the sudharshaNa wheel, today in my <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>). {does not say \u2018sollum\u2019 (told), but said \u2018kAttum\u2019 (showed) \u2013 he makes us too visualize it}<\/p>\n<p><strong>thamizhth thalaivan<\/strong> \u2013 As celebrated in <em>\u201c<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/08\/thiruvaimozhi-1-5-11-male-maya\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>pAlEi thamizhar\u201d<\/em> [thiruvAimozhi 1.5.11<\/a>], and \u201c<em>in kavi pAdum parama kavigaL<\/em>\u201d [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 7.9.6] by <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a> who got knowledge sans blemish, the root head of growing such dhramida sAsthram (thamizh, prabandham) is <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pEyAzhvAr<\/a>;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ponnadi pORRum<\/strong> \u2013 you see, after seeing such divine feet of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a>, (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a>) did not do kainkaryam to such feet as per his subservient nature, but started praising such divine feet due to the beauty of such divine feet of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pEyAzhvAr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>irAmAnusarkku<\/strong> \u2013 regarding <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>anbu pUNdavar thAL<\/strong> \u2013 the divine feet of great souls who wear as ornaments their love (towards the matters of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>chenniyil sUdum<\/strong> \u2013 those who keep in their heads (the divine feet of great souls) like wearing a flower; { that is: <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> -&gt; <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pEyAzhvAr<\/a> -&gt; <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a> -&gt; those who love emperumAnAr -&gt; those who keep such people\u2019s divine feet in their heads }<\/p>\n<p><strong>thiruvudaiyAr<\/strong> \u2013 such people having the ultimate wealth. As said in \u201c<em>sathu nAgavara srImAn<\/em>\u201d (gajEndhrAzhvAn described), \u201c<em>lakshmaNO lakshmI sampanna:<\/em>\u201d (~lakshmaNA\u2019s wealth that is kainkaryam {described like this as he left everything and started to follow srI rAman to the forest}), \u201c<em>antharikshagathas srImAn<\/em>\u201d (vibhIshaNazhvAn\u2019s association with srI rAman)<\/p>\n<p><strong>enRum sIriyarE<\/strong> \u2013 since they have the affection towards such devotees, they will remain having such a wealth till there is time. It is said too, \u201c<em>srImath bhAgavathArchanam bhagavatha:pUjAvithEr uththamam &#8211; srIvishNOr avamAnanAth gurutharam srIvaishNava ullulanganam \u2013 thIrthAth achyutha pAdha jAth gurutharam thIrththam thadhIyAngrijam thasmAn nithyam athanthrithIpavasathA thEshAm samAradhanE<\/em>\u201d (doing archanam to devotees is nobler than doing it to bhagavAn; disrespecting a vaishNava (devotee) is a worse sin than disrespecting vishNu; getting devotees\u2019 srIpAdha thIrtham (divine water of holy feet) is better than getting that of achyuthan <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>),<br \/>\nand \u201c<em>thasmAdh gurutharam bHOktham thadhIyArAdhanamnrupa mama mathbhaktha bhakthEshu prIthir abhyathikA bhavEth \u2013 thasmAth math bhaktha bhakthAscha pUjanIyA visEshatha:<\/em>\u201d (~my devotees of my devotees are more special to me, and are worth doing special pUjas to them );<\/p>\n<p>In thiruvAmozhi, AzhvAr too sang \u201c<em>thirumAl adiyArgaLaip pUsikka nORRargaLE<\/em>\u201d [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 5.6.11];<\/p>\n<p>In the same way, starting with \u2018<em>vAchA yathIndhra<\/em>\u2019, \u201c<em>pAdhAnu chinthana paras sathatham bHavEyam<\/em>\u201d [yathirAja vimsathi] <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">jIyar<\/a> too prayed for such a devotion towards the <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s devotees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From srI u.vE. thirumalai nallAn chakravarthy rAmakrishNa iyengAr\u2019s \u2018amudha virundhu\u2019:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>mAmalarAL thannodum Ayanai<\/em> &#8211; Because he is with pirAtti, his quality of moving with common people is brought out. &#8220;<em>mAdhavO bhakthavathsala:<\/em>&#8221; (because he is the husband of pirAtti he is showing his good quality towards his devotees, the quality of taking their bad qualities as good.)<\/p>\n<p>Instead of &#8216;kaNdamai <em>sollum<\/em>&#8216; (saw and explained), amudhanAr says &#8216;kaNdamai <em>kAttum&#8217; -&gt; <\/em>since <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">peyAazhvAr <\/a>showed us the whole picture of his experience at <a href=\"https:\/\/koyil.org\/index.php\/dhivya-dhesams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirukkOvalUr<\/a>.\u00a0 Such is the expert thamizh of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/22\/mudhalazhwargal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Azhvar<\/a>.
