Talking about His beauty from divine feet up to divine <\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\">crown<\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\">, or from divine <\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\">crown<\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\"> down to divine feet is the usual way. She is saying in some other order based on how she experienced Him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>kai vaNNam thAmarai &#8211; <\/b>At first she talks about <span lang=\"en-IN\">His<\/span> hand that held her too fondly during the wedding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>vAi kamalam pOlum &#8211; <\/b>After holding her hand, making it apparent that He does not have anywhere else to go or be with, He said \u201cOh what a beautiful form this is! Oh how beautiful this bosom is! Oh how beautiful these eyes are\u201d &#8211; the divine mouth that said these sweet words.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>kaNNiNaiyum aravindham &#8211; <\/b>After having started saying sweet words, if He sees her form, then He would flounder, and then He would talk the rest of the words with His eyes only. Sweet words show His affection. He stood with all the affection to be visible in His eyes, she says<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>adiyum ahdhE &#8211; <\/b>She is talking about the divine feet she falls to after losing to those affectionate eyes. Instead of mentioning the comparison to lotus flower just once in this pAsuram like she did in \u201c<i>kaNNum vAyum kaiththalamum adiyiNaiyum kamala vaNNam<\/i> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2021\/08\/thirunedunthandakam-18-part-1\/\">thirunedunthANdakam &#8211; 18<\/a>]\u201d, here, due to excess of sweetness, <span lang=\"en-IN\"> she is saying the words <\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\">of comparison to <\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\">lotus flower <\/span>for each <span lang=\"en-IN\">part of Him that she mentions here.<\/span> <span lang=\"en-IN\">Un<\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\">l<\/span>ike in the previous three places in this pAsuram where she mentions the flower explicitly, for divine feet she just says \u2018<strong>ahdhE<\/strong>\u2019 (is also like that (flower))\u2019, to convey that the flower is not having that much esteem. It implies that for the other parts mentioned earlier too, that is, hand, mouth and eyes, the flower is not a proper comparison.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Oh! The way you are describing, <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-IN\">i<\/span><\/span><\/span>t is like I s<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-IN\">aw<\/span><\/span><\/span> Him directly, <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-IN\">i<\/span><\/span><\/span>nstead of just hearing about His coming here, says <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-IN\">her<\/span><\/span><\/span> friend. She <span lang=\"en-IN\">replies<\/span>, \u201cMy description is not enough; I can only say <b>avvaNNaththavar<\/b> (He, of these characteristics), and cannot describe fully by words\u201d. <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-IN\">A<\/span><\/span><\/span> hungry person just smelling the food, is the level in which I can describe; it is not possible to fully describe about how He came here, and about Him. I told you using a comparison because you asked; His form was not such that one comparison could be used to fully describe it. It is only possible to say, \u201cHe is of such greatness\u201d &#8211; this is all that can be described.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>nilaimai kaNdum &#8211; <\/b>As said in \u201c<i>na thyajEyam<\/i> [SrI rAmAyaNam &#8211; yudhDha KANdam &#8211; 18-3]\u201d (<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-IN\">will<\/span><\/span><\/span> not reject one who comes as a friend), even after seeing His state of sustaining Himself only if He gets me, and losing His life if He does not get me;<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>avar nilaimai &#8211; <\/b>His beauty of form was such. His simplicity was such. Staunchness in protecting His devotees was such. Even after seeing all of these.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>kaNdum &#8211; <\/b>Earlier I had only heard about this from your mouth. Even after seeing it according to how I had heard;<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>kaNdum &#8211; <\/b>emperumAn who could be seen only after doing penance for a long time, was in front of my eyes without any effort &#8211; that is the One I let go thinking about His supremacy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>thOzhee &#8211; <\/b>Oh you did not get to see how His form of beauty was, the way He came here, and the state of His standing here.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>avarai &#8211; <\/b>He who could not go to anyone\/anywhere else except me here.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>nAm &#8211; <\/b>I would be \u201c<i>asannEva sa Bhavathi <\/i>[thaithriyOpanaishath &#8211; Anandhavalli &#8211; 6]<i>\u201d <\/i>(He becomes like a non-existent itself), like a non-existent entity when not with Him; Or, I who does not have anywhere else to surrender to than Him. Since it is said as \u201c<i>Eka athiriktham anEkam<\/i>\u201d (more than one is anEkam), <b>nAm<\/b> here could be considered as a plural form to mean it includes her friend also.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>dhEvarenRu &#8211;<\/b> <span lang=\"en-IN\">Not u<\/span>nderstanding His form as is, but <span lang=\"en-IN\">in<\/span> some other way, I got bewildered thinking that He is the supreme lord, but I forgot that <span lang=\"en-IN\">H<\/span>e thought of Himself as \u201c<em>AthmAnam mAnusham manyE<\/em> [SrI rAmAyaNam &#8211; yudhDha KANdam &#8211; 120-11]\u201d (I consider myself as a human being). <span lang=\"en-IN\">Mistaking the<\/span> same cla<span lang=\"en-IN\">ss<\/span> <span lang=\"en-IN\">as<\/span> a different cla<span lang=\"en-IN\">ss, is what I did. Forgetting His own thought \u201c<\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\"><em>AthmAnam mAnusham manyE<\/em>\u201d, <\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\">I clang to the word of passer-by who said \u201c<em>bhavAn-nArAyaNO dhEva:<\/em> [SrI rAmAyaNam &#8211; yudhDha KANdam &#8211; 117-13]\u201d (brahmA <\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\">said praising<\/span><span lang=\"en-IN\"> SrI rAmar &#8211; you are the supreme nArAyaNan).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>anjinOmE &#8211; <\/b>I backed out. <span lang=\"en-IN\">He<\/span> who is the abode of protection, is about the one I <span lang=\"en-IN\">got<\/span> scared.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>nAm anjinOm &#8211; <\/b>By the plural word of \u201c<b>nAm<\/b>\u201d, she is in the state of mind of seethAp pirAtti who <span lang=\"en-IN\">as<\/span> a noble princess would use such plural in the place of singular- <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/14\/nanjiyar-english\/\">nanjeeyar<\/a> would divine <span lang=\"en-IN\">so<\/span>. Even during separation from Him, her scent of nobility would not leave her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><b>thOzhee! &#8211; <\/b>It is due to not having your presence that I lost Him due to fear.
