Since the <em>nAyakan<\/em> had not returned, the <em>nAyaki<\/em> felt distressed. Her friend sees the flowers, knows that the season has arrived, but still tells her \u201cThey are only in the process of blossoming but have not blossomed yet. He will certainly return at the correct time; do not worry\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>malarndhE ozhindhila mAlaiyum mAlaippon vAsigaiyum<br \/>\n<\/em><em>pulandhOy thazhaippandhal thaNduRa nARRip poru kadal sUzh<br \/>\n<\/em><em>nilandhAviya emperumAn thanadhu vaigundham annAy<br \/>\n<\/em><em>kalandhAr varavedhirkoNdu van konRaigaL kArththanavE<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Word-by-Word Meanings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>poru<\/em> \u2013 agitating<br \/>\n<em>kadal<\/em> \u2013 ocean<br \/>\n<em>sUzh<\/em> \u2013 surrounded by<br \/>\n<em>nilam<\/em> \u2013 bhUmi (earth)<br \/>\n<em>thAviya<\/em> \u2013 one who measured<br \/>\n<em>emperumAn thanadhu<\/em> \u2013 sarvESvaran\u2019s<br \/>\n<em>vaigundham annAy<\/em> \u2013 one who is (enjoyable) like SrIvaikuNtam!<br \/>\n<em>van<\/em> \u2013 being cruel<br \/>\n<em>konRaigaL<\/em> \u2013 konRai trees<br \/>\n<em>kalandhAr<\/em> \u2013 sarvESvaran who united (with you)<br \/>\n<em>varavu<\/em> \u2013 arrival<br \/>\n<em>edhir koNdu<\/em> \u2013 expecting<br \/>\n<em>kArththana<\/em> \u2013 are forming buds<br \/>\n<em>mAlaiyum<\/em> \u2013 as garlands (string)<br \/>\n<em>mAlai<\/em> \u2013 made as garland<br \/>\n<em>pon vAsigaiyum<\/em> \u2013 golden strings<br \/>\n<em>pulam<\/em> \u2013 on the earth<br \/>\n<em>thOy<\/em> \u2013 falling<br \/>\n<em>thazhai<\/em> \u2013 well grown<br \/>\n<em>pandhal<\/em> \u2013 as a bower<br \/>\n<em>thaNdu<\/em> \u2013 in the branches<br \/>\n<em>uRa<\/em> \u2013 fitting<br \/>\n<em>nARRi<\/em> \u2013 making it to hang<br \/>\n<em>malarndhEyozhindhila<\/em> \u2013 have not blossomed fully<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simple Translation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oh one who gives joy like SrIvaikuNtam which belongs to sarvESvaran, who had measured this earth surrounded by agitating oceans! The cruel <em>konRai<\/em> trees are waiting with buds, for the arrival of sarvESvaran who had united with you. They are not seen with blossomed flowers on their branches which come down like strings of garlands or garlands with golden strings, to the ground from the bower on which they have spread.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>malarndhE ozhindhila<\/strong> \u2013 the friend tells <em>nAyaki<\/em> \u201cThis is not the season when he said he would return\u201d The <em>nAyaki<\/em> tells her \u201cHow do you say so even after seeing that the flowers have blossomed?\u201d The friend says \u201cYou could only see them trying to blossom; they have not blossomed fully\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>mAlai . . . <\/strong>\u2013 only if they come down in strings as garlands or as golden strings through those garlands, could one say that they have blossomed. They should come down to the earth in such a way that those who see them would have their sensory organs stolen by them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>poru kadal<\/strong> \u2013 [friend\u2019s words] aren\u2019t you matching his indestructible <em>nithyavibhUthi<\/em> (spiritual realm)? Will he allow you to get destroyed? He has one vibhUthi (leelA vibhUthi) which keeps getting formed and destroyed repeatedly and one vibhUthi (nithya vibhUthi) which is indestructible.\u00a0 Measuring this earth which is surrounded by ocean, he is the lord who brought all the worlds under him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>thanadhu vaigundham annAy<\/strong> \u2013 is it possible for you not to have <em>svarUpa gyAnam<\/em> (knowledge about your true nature)? Aren\u2019t you matching his nithyavibhUthi? Only if he gives up that nithyavibhIUthi, would he give you up too. Will he allow you to get distressed?<\/p>\n<p><strong>kalandhAr<\/strong> \u2013 even if he does not know your true nature, will he not know his true nature? Would he, who had united with you and knows your importance, let go of you? Know well that his identity is that he is <em>kalandhAr<\/em> (one who united with you).<\/p>\n<p><strong>varavedhir koNdu<\/strong> \u2013 even plants which do not know any distinction between correct and incorrect, were ready to blossom as mentioned in SrI rAmAyaNam yudhdha kANdam SlOkam \u201c<em>akAlapalinO vrukshA<\/em>\u201d (thought it was not the season, trees blossomed flowers). Thus, when these flowers are waiting for the arrival of <em>nAyakan<\/em> to blossom, why are you upset?<\/p>\n<p><strong>van konRaigaL<\/strong> \u2013 the konRai trees were anxiously waiting, deciding to blossom only when he comes and not otherwise<\/p>\n<p><strong>kArththana<\/strong> \u2013 they formed buds. When the embryo is formed, it would change colour. This indicates that.
