Wind joined them now. All these kindled memories of emperumAn more. Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>thani nenjam munnavar puLLE kavarndhadhu thaNNandhuzhAykku<\/em><br \/><em>ini nenjam inguk kavarvadhu yAm ilam nI naduvE<\/em><br \/><em>muni vanjap pEychchi mulai suvaiththAn mudi sUdu thuzhAyp<\/em><br \/><em>pani nanja mArudhamE emmadhAvi panippiyalvE<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Word-by-Word Meanings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>thani<\/em> \u2013 distinguished<br \/><em>nenjam<\/em> \u2013 heart<br \/><em>mun<\/em> \u2013 already<br \/><em>avar<\/em> \u2013 that sarvESvaran\u2019s<br \/><em>puLLE<\/em> \u2013 the bird garuda himself (emperumAn\u2019s vehicle)<br \/><em>kavarndhadhu<\/em> \u2013 had stolen<br \/><em>ini<\/em> \u2013 further<br \/><em>yAm<\/em> \u2013 we<br \/><em>ingu<\/em> \u2013 in this place<br \/><em>thaN<\/em> \u2013 being cool<br \/><em>am<\/em> \u2013 beautiful<br \/><em>thuzhAykku<\/em> \u2013 for the divine thuLasi<br \/><em>kavarvadhu<\/em> \u2013 for stealing<br \/><em>nenjam<\/em> \u2013 heart<br \/><em>ilam<\/em> \u2013 do not have<br \/><em>muni<\/em> \u2013 having anger<br \/><em>vanjam<\/em> \u2013 having deceit<br \/><em>pEychchi<\/em> \u2013 the demon pUthanA<br \/><em>mulai<\/em> \u2013 bosom<br \/><em>suvaiththAn<\/em> \u2013 krishNa who drank<br \/><em>mudi<\/em> \u2013 in his crown<br \/><em>sUdum<\/em> \u2013 proffered<br \/><em>thuzhAy<\/em> \u2013 divine thuLasi<br \/><em>pani<\/em> \u2013 having coolness<br \/><em>nanjam<\/em> \u2013 being poisonous<br \/>(being hurtful)<br \/><em>mArudhamE<\/em> \u2013 Oh wind!<br \/><em>nI<\/em> \u2013 you<br \/><em>naduvE<\/em> \u2013 amidst these<br \/><em>emmadhu<\/em> \u2013 our<br \/><em>Avi<\/em> \u2013 prANan (life)<br \/><em>panippu<\/em> \u2013 shivering<br \/><em>iyalvE<\/em> \u2013 is it its nature? (is it correct?)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Simple Translation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>garuda had already stolen my mind completely such that there is no connection between me and my mind. I do not have another mind with me so that his cool thuLasi garland could steal from me. Oh wind which is coming with coolness resulting from pervading through the thuLasi garland which adorns the beautiful crown of krishNa who had drunk milk from the bosom of demon pUthanA who was full of anger and deceit! When I am already struggling like this, is it proper for you to come in between and make me to shiver further?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>vyAkhyAnam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>thani nenjam<\/strong> \u2013 AzhwAr had only his mind; but there are several entities such as garudan, thuLasi, wind etc who were attempting to steal it. Thus, the implication is that those who create hurdles are more in number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>mun avar puLLE&nbsp; kavarndhadhu<\/strong> \u2013 Looking at the majestic way in which emperumAn was seated on garuda, I wanted to hug him with the garland on his shoulder. Before I could do it, didn\u2019t garuda steal my mind!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>avar puL<\/strong> \u2013 Because of&nbsp; his distinguished connection with emperumAn, did garudan steal it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>puLLE<\/strong> \u2013 gaurdan did not give scope to others in SrIvaikuNtam such as thuLasi et al to steal my mind. He did that himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>kavarndhadhu<\/strong> \u2013 my mind was insufficient for that garudan too, filling up only half of his stomach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>mun<\/strong> \u2013 garuda preceded thuLasi, in stealing my mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>thaN andhuzhAykku<\/strong> \u2013 for that cool thuLasi garland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ini nenjam<\/strong> \u2013 she tells thuLasi \u201cEven if you remain here firm like a tree, in order to steal my mind, what is going to happen? There is no purpose in staying here saying that you will not leave this place without taking her mind. Your desire will not be fulfilled\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ingu<\/strong> \u2013 she states her position clearly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>yAm ilam<\/strong> \u2013 my mind has already gone behind garudan. I, a sinner, am not endowed with several minds so that all of you could steal one mind each. I do not have another mind for thuLasi garland to steal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>nI naduvE<\/strong> \u2013 Seeing that the divine thuLasi, after coming to steal my mind, was standing like a tree, it appears that the wind came very fast. While thuLasi, who too is connected to emperumAn, is waiting, what is your urgency? While garudan, thuLasi et al have direct connection with emperumAn, your connection with emperumAn is through them. In other words, you have connection with thuLasi who has direct contact with his divine form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>muni vanjap pEychchi<\/strong> \u2013 the demon pUthanA who came with lot of anger and with deceit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>mulai suvaiththAn<\/strong> \u2013 he was taking in her milk with plenty of saliva. periya thirumozhi 1-3-1 says \u201c<em>peRRa thAy pOl vandha pEychchi perumulai Udu uyirai vaRRa vAngi uNda vAyAn<\/em>\u201d (he drank, without leaving anything behind, including her life, through the bosom of the demon pUthanA, who came in the form of his mother yaSOdhA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>mudi sUdu thuzhAy<\/strong> \u2013 this wind is bringing the fragrance of thuLasi from the crown of that krishNa. Just as clouds imbibe the waters of ocean and precipitate that as rain everywhere, this wind is also carrying fragrance of thuLasi and spreading it everywhere. He donned the thuLasi garland as easily as he put an end to pUthana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How did she (AzhwAr in feminine mood) know that emperumAn had thuLasi on his crown?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>pani nanjam mArudhamE<\/strong> \u2013 the wind which is cool, is now blowing like poison. Just as pUthanA smeared poison on her bosom, the wind has come carrying thuLasi\u2019s fragrance [when in separation, even thuLasi is not welcome]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>emmadhu Avi<\/strong> \u2013 my prANan (vital air) which is in distress due to garuda, thuLasi, wind et al. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>panippu iyalvE<\/strong> \u2013 It is natural for my prANan to be in shivers. She asks the wind \u201cCould you, who would cause distress to his enemies, cause distress to his followers too?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>svApadhESam<\/em> (distinguished\/internal meaning): Since AzhwAr had earlier enjoyed sarvESvaran through the faculty of his mind, all the materials which are connected with emperumAn are now reminding him about emperumAn.
