It is the day on which nammAzhwAr, who is truthful and who composed the eminently apt meanings of vEdhas in beautiful thamizh, incarnated. Being truthful is saying honestly about an entity, the way he\/it is. Eminence for vEdhas is that they have <em>apaurushEyathvam<\/em> (not written by any person), they have <em>svatha pramANathvam<\/em> (they sustain by themselves; they do not depend on anyone for sustenance) etc. Yet another eminence for vEdhas is that they speak only about SrIman nArAyaNa\u2019s <em>svarUpam<\/em> (basic nature), <em>rUpam<\/em> (divine form) and <em>gUnas<\/em> (auspicious qualities). Composing the meanings in thamizh would refer to his mercifully explaining the inner meanings of vEdhas and vEdhAnthas (upanishaths) in his four works of thiruviruththam (rig vEdha), thiruvAsiriyam (yajur vEdha), periya thiruvandhAdhi (atharvaNa vEdha and thiruvAimozhi (sAma vEdha), so that we all could understand well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>pAsuram 15<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fifteenth pAsuram. mAmunigaL enjoys the greatness of AzhwAr, the day on which he incarnated, the place and his work, thiruvAimozhi and explains these.<\/p>\n<p><em>uNdo vaigAsi visAgaththukku oppu oru nAL<br \/>\n<\/em><em>uNdO sadagOparkku oppu oruvar \u2013 uNdO<br \/>\n<\/em><em>thiruvAimozhikku oppu then kurugaikku uNdO<br \/>\n<\/em><em>oru pAr thanil okkum Ur<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Will any other day equal the greatness of this divine vaikASi viSAkam day when nammAzhwAr, who praised <em>sarvESvaran<\/em> (lord of all) SrIman nArAyaNa and his wealth such that they gained eminence, incarnated? [no]. Is there anyone who matches the greatness of satakOpar also known as nammAzhwAr? [none among <em>sarvESvaran,nithyas, mukthas <\/em>and people of this world would equal him]. Is there a prabandham which explains in detail the essence of vEdhas? [no]. Is there a place which matches thirukkurugUr which mercifully gave him to us? (it is the place which gives equal fame to both AdhinAthar perumAL and nammAzhwAr. It is the divine abode where emperumAn\u2019s supremacy is effulgent, in archAvathAram [idol form]. It is the place where, four thousand years ahead of his incarnation, the divine <em>vigraha<\/em> (idol) of emperumAnAr incarnated due to nammAzhwAr\u2019s mercy. It is the divine abode where emperumAnAr\u2019s reincarnation, maNavALa mAmunigaL incarnated).
