thaniyans<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Based on <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mAmunigaL<\/a>&#8216;s and <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/pillai-lokam-jiyar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">piLLai lOkam jIyar<\/a>&#8216;s avathArikai<\/p>\n<p>sriya:pathi (srI mahAlakshmi\u2019s husband), parmakAruNikan (one with immense mercy), sarvEswaran (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> who controls everything), was being the object of complete enjoyment for those in nithya vibhUthi (srIvaikuNtam),<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/paramapadhanathan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/paramapadhanathan.jpg\" alt=\"paramapadhanathan\" width=\"468\" height=\"382\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/paramapadhanathan.jpg 468w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/paramapadhanathan-300x245.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>but He saw that in leelA vibhUthi (the section of the universe that is for His playing where AthmAs spend time based on their karmas), where <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">jIvAthmAs <\/a>in the matter that is a mixture of three characteristics of sathva (tranquility), rajas (action\/anger), and thamas (laziness\/idleness), are spending time on activities that draw them more and more into samsAram (cycle of worldly existence) and are sucked in to that huge vortex and not finding the shore to climb out to, even though they are equally eligible to enjoy the nectar of happiness that is <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> which is enjoyed by nithyasUris (who are in srIvaikuNtam forever, who have not been affected by karmas);<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>, feeling terrible about this, determined that He would alert them about their relationship with Him and save them out of the ocean of samsAram, and so in the beginning of kali yugA arranged for <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>\u2019s avathAram, and blessed him with unblemished inner knowledge (mayarvaRa mathinalam),<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/nammazhwar-madhurakavi.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1241\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/nammazhwar-madhurakavi.jpg\" alt=\"nammazhwar-madhurakavi\" width=\"621\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/nammazhwar-madhurakavi.jpg 621w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/nammazhwar-madhurakavi-300x145.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 621px) 100vw, 621px\" \/><\/a><em>nammazhvAr &#8211; madhura kavi<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8230; and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>, using that knowledge, was immersed in <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sarvEswaran<\/a>\u2019s true nature, form, characteristic, and wealth, and as it overflowed, to address that, he blessed the world with dhivya prabandham, and blessed the knowledge to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">madhurakavi AzhwAr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Based on that, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">madhurakavi AzhwAr <\/a>sang \u201c<em>mikka vEdhiyar vEdhaththin uL poruL niRkap pAdi en nujuL niRuththinAn\u201d <\/em>[kaNNinuN chiru thAmbu 9] (he explained the inner meanings of the vEdhas and made me understand its inner meanings), and (so), \u201c<em>thEvu maRRaRiyEn<\/em>\u201d [kaNNinuN chiru thAmbu 2] (do not know any, other than <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>) (charama upAyam &#8211; final means, that is AchArya abhimAnam);<\/p>\n<p>Later as <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/22\/nathamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sriman nAthamunigaL<\/a> requested for those great meanings, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhwAr <\/a>crossed the limit of archai (vigraham\/statue) and opened his divine mouth and gave all of the meanings and inner meanings to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/22\/nathamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nAthamunigaL<\/a>, and through him is how this sampradhAyam (culture\/ways of srIvaishNavas) came to be.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/nammazhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1283\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/nammazhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni.jpg\" alt=\"nammazhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni\" width=\"361\" height=\"241\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/nammazhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni.jpg 800w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/nammazhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/nammazhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 361px) 100vw, 361px\" \/><\/a><em>nammazhwAr with madhurakavigaL and nAthamunigaL<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So this chain of <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas <\/a>giving advice and correcting the sishyas was available to His devotees<strong>;<\/strong> as <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> wished to propagate all these meanings and inner meanings to all the people in this world, the world which is of the nature that encourages ignorance, He commanded thiruvananthAzhvAn (Adhi sEshan), and so <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he<\/a> descended into <a href=\"http:\/\/sriperumbuthur.koyil.org\">srIperumbUthUr<\/a>; he learned all the sAsthras, and as told by dhEvap perumAL through <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/02\/15\/thirukkachi-nambi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirukkachchi nambigaL<\/a> he understood very well about the truth, ways, and goal; and through the compassion of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">periya perumAL<\/a>, he was given full control to manage this world and srIvaikuNtam, and nurtured the sampradhAyam grown from <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/22\/nathamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nAtha<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/01\/alavandhar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">yAmuna<\/a> muni by understanding the inner meanings of truth, ways, and goal, and was advising these to his close sishyAs like <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/kurathazhwan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kUraththAzhwan<\/a>, and was living in srIrangam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/ARu_vArthai.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3197\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/ARu_vArthai.jpg\" alt=\"ARu_vArthai\" width=\"336\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/ARu_vArthai.jpg 336w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/ARu_vArthai-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/a><em>dhEvapperumAL gave the six truths to emperumAnAr through thirukkachchi nambigAL<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During that time, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/amudhanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvarangaththu amudhanAr<\/a>, even though he was well versed in all the sAshthras, was not knowing about the sath-sampradhAyam (tradition as propagated through <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/22\/nathamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nathamunigaL <\/a>as explained above). So, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a> due to his causeless mercy (nirhEthuka krupai) reformed him through <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/kurathazhwan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kUraththAzhwAn<\/a>; and <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/amudhanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">amudhanAr<\/a> surrendered to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/kurathazhwan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhwAn<\/a>, who showed him <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s divine feet as the means, and so <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/amudhanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">amudhanAr<\/a> considered those divine feet as everything, and was immersed in them all the time; (thus <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/kurathazhwan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kUraththAzhwan <\/a>performed purushakAram\/recommendation).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Koorathazhvan_In_Piratti_thirukkolam-Large.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3199\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Koorathazhvan_In_Piratti_thirukkolam-Large-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Koorathazhvan_In_Piratti_thirukkolam (Large)\" width=\"283\" height=\"377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Koorathazhvan_In_Piratti_thirukkolam-Large-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Koorathazhvan_In_Piratti_thirukkolam-Large-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Koorathazhvan_In_Piratti_thirukkolam-Large.jpg 810w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 283px) 100vw, 283px\" \/><\/a><em>kUraththAzhwan in pirAtti (srI mahAlakshmi) thirukkOlam (attire)<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As that experience of the mind was overflowing, the opportunity arose for amudhanAr to use the words to express his love, and also due to his extreme kindness that the other devotees need to get this meaning and knowledge and experience it easily, that knowledge overflowed as 108 pAsurams in the thamizh poem form of \u2018kaliththuRai anthAdhi\u2019, which included <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s divine name in each pAsuram;
