It is because he is \u2018Urdhvaga:\u2019 \u2013 the one with a lofty nature.<\/p>\n<p>The vishNu dharma hails thus: \u201cHaving taken refuge of that great soul (the supreme lord), one will never be depressed even upon facing great difficulties\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: He, who is lofty by nature, is called \u2018Urdhvaga:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u092f\u094as\u0938\u094c \u0938\u094d\u0935\u092d\u093e\u0935\u0924\u0938\u094d\u0924\u0941\u0919\u094d\u0917 \u090a\u0930\u094d\u0927\u094d\u0935\u0917\u0903 \u092a\u0930\u093f\u0915\u0940\u0930\u094d\u0924\u093f\u0924\u0903 |<\/p>\n<p>955) <u>sathpathAchAra:<\/u> (\u0938\u0924\u094d\u092a\u0925\u093e\u091a\u093e\u0930\u0903)<\/p>\n<p>As the greatest result of such lofty nature, bhagavAn puts his devotees on the track of true servitude unto him, and develops them on the same track. Thus, he is called \u2018sathpathAchAra:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>bhagavAn himself claims thus: \u201cHaving attained this perishable, sorrowful world, the best option for you is to pray to me\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: Since bhagavAn puts his devotees on the track of servitude unto himself, he is called \u2018sathpathAchAra:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u0938\u0924\u094d\u092a\u0925\u093e\u091a\u093e\u0930 \u0907\u0924\u094d\u092f\u0941\u0915\u094d\u0924\u0903 \u0938\u0928\u094d\u092e\u093e\u0930\u094d\u0917\u0946 \u0924\u0924\u094d\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0935\u0930\u094d\u0924\u0928\u093e\u0924\u094d |<\/p>\n<p>956) <u>prANadha:<\/u> (\u092a\u094d\u0930\u093e\u0923\u0926\u0903) (also seen in 66, 323, 409)<\/p>\n<p>By doing all the said things (in the previous divine names), bhagavAn gives \/ revives life for all those who are almost lost due to the deadly poison of material pleasures. He is, therefore, called \u2018praNava:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>This meaning of \u2018praNava:\u2019 is seen in atharva Siras thus: \u201cThe manthra (Om) is called \u2018praNava:\u2019 since it makes all the life forces (prANa) (in other words, all creatures) prostrate to the supreme lord\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: He who makes the souls realize their uplifting relationship (of eternal servitude) with himself through the \u2018praNavam\u2019, and therefore makes them prostrate to his lotus feet at all times, is called \u2018praNava:\u2019. Thus, he is called \u2018paNa:\u2019. The word \u2018paNa:\u2019 comes from the root \u2018paN\u2019 (\u092a\u0923\u094d), which means \u2018to deal\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>(NOTE: The \u2018deal\u2019 here is shown as \u2018the exchange of rates for which a certain object can be sold off\u2019. It represents all individual souls in this material creation. They all finally take refuge in him, just like birds taking refuge in a sanctuary.
