Therefore, he is called \u2018dhanurvEdha:\u2019 \u2013 the provider of scriptures for archery.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: He, from whom even the rulers of dhEvas, manushyas et al obtain the skills of archery through the scriptures provided by him, is called \u2018dhanurvEdha:\u2019. Thus, he is called \u2018adhama:\u2019 \u2013 the one who is beyond anyone\u2019s control.<\/p>\n<p>This is hailed thus in SrI mahAbhAratha: \u201cjanArdhana can turn the entire world into ashes by his mere thought. He is thus called \u2018niyanthA\u2019 \u2013 the controller.<\/p>\n<p>bhagavAn himself declares thus in the bhagavath gIthA: \u201cOh arjuna!
