Thus, he is called \u2018arka:\u2019 \u2013 the praised one.<\/p>\n<p>The root \u2018arka\u2019 (\u0905\u0930\u094d\u0915) means to praise.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: The one who is hailed by them (the asuras) as \u2018the most righteous\u2019 is called \u2018arka:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u0905\u0924\u094d\u092f\u0928\u094d\u0924 \u0927\u093e\u0930\u094d\u092e\u093f\u0915 \u0907\u0924\u093f \u0938\u094d\u0924\u0941\u0924\u0938\u094d\u0924\u0948\u0903 \u0905\u0930\u094d\u0915 \u0908\u0930\u093f\u0924\u0903 |<\/p>\n<p>802) <u>vAjasani:<\/u> (\u0935\u093e\u091c\u0938\u0928\u093f\u0903)<\/p>\n<p>By inducing the asuras into atheism, bhagavAn made them crave for mean materialistic pursuits such as food and other entertainments. Thus, he is called \u2018vAjasani:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The roots \u2018van\u2019 (\u0935\u0928) and \u2018shaN\u2019 (\u0937\u0923) are used in the context of providing \u2018enjoyment\u2019 (\u0938\u092e\u094d\u092d\u0915\u094d\u0924\u093f\u0903). These roots get the \u2018in\u2019 (\u0907\u0928\u094d) adjunct, thereby resulting in this divine name.<\/p>\n<p>It means the one who favours materialistic pursuits for the asuras.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, it is popularly seen in the budhdhist and jain mendicants (bhikshu`s), who have it as a vow to eat morsels of curd rice as the first thing in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: He, by whose influence the asuras crave for mean materialistic pursuits in this world \u2013 such as food and the like, is called \u2018vAjasani:\u2019. Thus, he is called \u2018jayantha:\u2019 \u2013 the victorious one.<\/p>\n<p>The root \u2018ji\u2019 (\u091c\u093f) is used in the context of winning over. Thus, he is called \u2018suvarNabindhu:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The root \u2018bidhi\u2019 (\u092c\u093f\u0926\u093f) is used in the context of \u2018concealment\u2019 (of knowledge).<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: Since bhagavAn conceals the theist arguments by his own skilful arguments with flair of words, he is called \u2018suvarNabindhu:\u2019. Thus, he is called \u2018akshObhya:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: Since bhagavAn \u2013 with his profoundness \u2013 couldn\u2019t be subjected to any transformations (couldn\u2019t be won over or changed), he is called \u2018akshObhya:\u2019. This is as hailed in the rAmAyaNa thus: \u201cHe is an expert who places very apt arguments systematically, akin to brihaspathi\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, he is called \u2018sarvavAgISvarESvara:\u2019 \u2013 the master of all debaters.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: He, who is an expert in debates and a very skilful orator, is called \u2018sarvavrAgISvarESvara:\u2019. Therefore, he is called \u2018mahAhradha:\u2019 \u2013 the great lake.<\/p>\n<p>The root \u2018hrAdha\u2019 (\u0939\u094d\u0930\u093e\u0926) means an indistinct sound \/ noise. Since a lake produces such an indistinct sound at all times, it is called \u2018hradha:\u2019 (\u0939\u094d\u0930\u0926\u0903) (after applying grammatical rules).<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: He, who is in the form of a great lake \u2013 in which the sinners get drowned, and the virtuous souls rejoice by taking dips \u2013 is called \u2018mahAhradha:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u092e\u091c\u094d\u091c\u0928\u094d\u0924\u093f \u092a\u093e\u092a\u093e\u0903 \u0924\u0943\u092a\u094d\u092f\u0928\u094d\u0924\u093f \u092a\u0941\u0923\u094d\u092f\u093e \u0907\u0924\u093f \u092e\u0939\u093e\u0939\u094d\u0930\u0926\u0903 |<\/p>\n<p>810) <u>mahAgartha:<\/u> (\u092e\u0939\u093e\u0917\u0930\u094d\u0924\u0903)<\/p>\n<p>For the sinners who either do not accept vEdhas as the source of knowledge, or for those who misinterpret the vEdhic verses, bhagavAn has dug a pit in the form of the \u2018naraka\u2019s such as raurava, etc (27 narakas). Thus, he is called \u2018mahAgartha:\u2019 \u2013 the huge pit.<\/p>\n<p>bhagavAn declares this in bhagavath gIthA thus: \u201cOh arjuna, those cynics who do not trust the words of vEdhas (the dharmas) shall not attain me.
