Especially, the \u2018antharyAmi brAhmaNa\u2019 part extols bhagavAn\u2019s presence within each and every entity thus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cThe one who indwells in this earth and protects it\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe one who indwells in the individual souls and protects them\u201d, etc<\/li>\n<li>The manu smrithi says thus: \u201cThat controller of all entities \u2013 bhagavAn \u2013 resides in the hearts of all creatures. He controls them in the form of \u2018yama\u2019 \u2013 the son of vivasvAn. The root \u2018vEdha\u2019 (to know) gets the \u2018yaN\u2019 (\u092f\u0923\u094d) suffix, resulting in this divine name.<\/p>\n<p>The vishNu dharma says: \u201cJust as the greatest of diseases are cured by medication under a trained physician, so also our sins \u2013 accumulated like the mEru and mandhara mountains \u2013 are easily washed away by surrendering unto kESava\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: He who knows and has completely mastered the skill of removing the disease of \u2018samsAra\u2019 among his devotees is called \u2018vaidhya:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u0935\u0946\u0926\u093f\u0924\u0944\u0923\u093e\u0902 \u092d\u0935\u093e\u0916\u094d\u092f\u0938\u094d\u092f \u0917\u0926\u0938\u094d\u092f \u0935\u093f\u0928\u093f\u0935\u0930\u094d\u0924\u093f\u0928\u0940\u092e\u094d |<br \/>\u0935\u093f\u092f\u093e\u092e\u0927\u0940\u0924\u0946 \u0935\u0946\u0926\u0946\u0924\u093f \u092f\u094a \u0935\u0948\u0926\u094d\u092f\u0903 \u0938\u092e\u0941\u0926\u093e\u0939\u0943\u0924\u0903 ||<\/p>\n<p>167) <u>sadhAyOgI<\/u> (\u0938\u0926\u093e\u092f\u094a\u0917\u0940)<\/p>\n<p>The one who is thus ever wakeful in protecting his devotees is called \u2018sadhAyOgI\u2019. The scriptures say: \u201cHe who is awake even while everyone is fast asleep\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: The one who is ever awake and watchful in treating his devotees is called \u2018sadhAyOgI\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u091a\u093f\u0915\u093f\u0924\u094d\u0938\u093e\u092f\u093e\u0902 \u091c\u093e\u0917\u0930\u0942\u0915\u0903 \u0938\u0926\u093e\u092f\u094a\u0917\u0940\u0924\u093f \u0915\u0925\u094d\u092f\u0924\u0946 |<\/p>\n<p>168) <u>vIrahA<\/u> (\u0935\u0940\u0930\u0939\u093e) (also repeated in 747, 927)<\/p>\n<p>bhagavAn is called \u2018vIrahA\u2019 \u2013 the destroyer of \u2018heroes\u2019, since he destroys such \u2018heroes\u2019 who obstruct the efforts of pious men in attaining bhagavAn (called \u2018haithuka vIra\u2019s).<\/p>\n<p>The root \u2018han\u2019 \u0939\u0928\u094d\u00a0 (to slay) gets the \u2018kvip\u2019 (\u0915\u094d\u0935\u093f\u092a\u094d) adjunct, resulting in this divine name.<\/p>\n<p>The same rule of grammar is also applicable in many other divine names such as \u2018kAmahA\u2019 \u0915\u093e\u092e\u0939\u093e (295), krOdhahA \u0915\u094d\u0930\u094a\u0927\u0939\u093e (315), bhagahA \u092d\u0917\u0939\u093e (564), et al.<\/p>\n<p>bhagavAn himself declares thus in the bhagavath gIthA: \u201cOh arjuna, many atheists try to establish that all of this creation is illusionary, and that no godhead is ruling over us\u2026. I push such lowly cruel men \u2013 filled with hatred \u2013 in this samsAra over and over again, to be born in the \u2018Asuri\u2019 yoni (lower births with cruel minds).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: He is called \u2018vIrahA\u2019, who destroys those who obstruct his devotees from meditating upon him.<\/p>\n<p>\u0938\u094d\u0935\u0927\u094d\u092f\u093e\u0928\u092d\u091e\u094d\u091c\u0915\u093e\u0928\u094d \u0935\u0940\u0930\u093e\u0928\u094d \u0939\u0928\u094d\u0924\u093f \u092f\u0903 \u0938 \u0924\u0941 \u0935\u0940\u0930\u0939\u093e |<\/p>\n<p>169) <u>mAdhava:<\/u> (\u092e\u093e\u0927\u0935\u0903) (also repeated in 73, 741)<\/p>\n<p>Further, since he is the propagator of the supreme knowledge that talks about him, he is called \u2018mAdhava:\u2019 \u2013 the lord of supreme knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>The scriptures say thus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cThe source of supreme knowledge about bhagavAn is called \u2018mA\u2019. The lord (svAmi) of such supreme knowledge is called \u2018mAdhava:\u2019\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cOh scion of bharatha clan, know that bhagavAn mAdhava by silence, meditation and yOga (union)\u201d, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Etymology: The source of supreme knowledge about bhagavAn is called \u2018mA\u2019. The lord of such supreme knowledge is called \u2018dhava:\u2019.
