The ancient \u2018maula niruktham\u2019 (\u092e\u094c\u0932 \u0928\u093f\u0930\u0941\u0915\u094d\u0924\u092e\u094d) states the meaning of \u2018aha:\u2019 as \u2018the one with no lowly possessions\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the scriptures say thus: \u201cIf a soul performs even a small good deed, that good deed will never let him down further\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Going by this, it can also be understood thus: the one who wakes up all souls bound in this material creation \u2013 appearing to be sleeping due to their ignorance from time immemorial \u2013 is called \u2018aha:\u2019, meaning the one who is like the \u2018day\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: The one who has no lowly possessions is called \u2018aha:\u2019. Alternately, the one who wakes up all bound souls \u2013 appearing to be sleeping due to their ignorance from time immemorial \u2013 is called \u2018aha:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u0928 \u0938\u0928\u094d\u0924\u093f \u0939\u093f\u0928\u093e \u092f\u0938\u094d\u092f\u0946\u0924\u093f \u0905\u0939\u0903 \u0938 \u092a\u0930\u093f\u0915\u0940\u0930\u094d\u0924\u093f\u0924\u0903 |<br \/>\n\u0905\u0928\u093e\u0926\u094d\u092f\u0935\u093f\u0926\u094d\u092f\u093e \u0928\u093f\u0926\u094d\u0930\u093e\u092f\u093e\u0902 \u0938\u094d\u0935\u0927\u0940 \u0939\u0946\u0924\u0941\u0924\u092f\u093e \u0939\u094d\u092f\u0939\u0903 ||<\/p>\n<p>92. samvathsara: (\u0938\u0902\u0935\u0924\u094d\u0938\u0930\u0903) (also repeated in 423)<\/p>\n<p>Among the souls who are thus woken up from the deep slumber of ignorance by him, since he resides within them as their guiding force, he is called \u2018samvathsara:\u2019 \u2013 the one who guides from within.<\/p>\n<p>The root \u2018vas\u2019 (\u0935\u0938\u094d) is prefixed with \u2018sam\u2019 (\u0938\u0902), due to which \u2018saran\u2019 (\u0938\u0930\u0928\u094d) adjunct is suffixed to it. While the \u2018saran\u2019 adjunct is being suffixed, the \u2018sa\u2019 (\u0938) in \u2018samvas\u2019 (\u0938\u0902\u0935\u0938) changes to \u2018ta\u2019 (\u0924), resulting in the divine name \u2018samvathsara:\u2019.\u00a0 (\u0938\u0902\u0935\u0924\u094d\u0938\u0930\u0903).<\/p>\n<p>bhagavAn himself declares thus in the bhagavath gIthA: \u201cI give them the \u2018budhdhiyOga\u2019 or intellect, using which they attain me at the end\u201d, \u201cI am the one who uplifts them\u201d, et al.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: The one who resides within the realized souls as their guiding force from within is called \u2018samvathsara:\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u0907\u0924\u094d\u0925\u0902 \u0924\u0946\u0937\u0941 \u092a\u094d\u0930\u092c\u0941\u0926\u094d\u0927\u0946\u0937\u0941 \u0935\u0938\u0924\u094d\u092f\u0941\u0926\u094d\u0927\u0930\u0923\u093e\u092f \u092f\u0903 \u0938\u0902\u0935\u0924\u094d\u0938\u0930\u0903 |<\/p>\n<p>93. vyAla: (\u0935\u094d\u092f\u093e\u0932\u0903)<\/p>\n<p>As shown in the SrI rAmAyaNam, where SrI rAma says \u201cOh SugrIva, bring that vibhIshaNa to me. I have granted abhayam \/ security to him\u201d, since he accepts all souls as his own by sending out his messengers, he is called \u2018vyAla:\u2019 \u2013 the one who accepts all souls as his own. The \u2018vi\u2019 (\u0935\u093f) adjunct is used to mean \u2018specially\u2019, and the \u2018A\u2019 (\u0906) qualifier shows that he makes the souls as his own \u2018in all ways\u2019. The root \u2018lA\u2019 (\u0932\u093e) means to accept.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: The one who accepts all souls as His own is called \u2018vyAla:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u0924\u093e\u0928\u094d \u0906\u0924\u094d\u092e\u0938\u093e\u0924\u094d \u0935\u094d\u092f\u093e\u0932\u0903 \u0909\u0915\u094d\u0924\u0903 \u0915\u0930\u094a\u0924\u093f \u092f\u0903 |<\/p>\n<p>94. prathyaya: (\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0924\u094d\u092f\u092f\u0903)<\/p>\n<p>Since all such creatures firmly believe in him, he is called \u2018prathyaya:\u2019\u00a0 \u2013 the one who is most trusted. He only creates trust in himself among individual souls, and also grants assurance to them. This is as said in the scriptures: \u201c\u2026that supreme godhead, who grants us the knowledge about himself\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The vishNu thathva says thus: \u201cI tell you repeatedly, oh brahman! The most trustworthy entity is that purushOththama alone!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>bhagavAn himself says thus in the mahAbhAratha: \u201cIf at all you know things well, and if at all you trust me wholeheartedly, then hand over bhImasEna and arjuna to me right away\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: The one who creates trust in himself among such individual souls is called \u2018prathyaya:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u092f\u094as\u0938\u094c \u092a\u094d\u0930\u0924\u094d\u092f\u093e\u092f\u092f\u0924\u093f \u0924\u093e\u0928\u094d \u092a\u094d\u0930\u0924\u094d\u092f\u092f\u0903 \u0938 \u0909\u0926\u093e\u0939\u0943\u0924\u0903 |<\/p>\n<p>95. sarvadharSana: (\u0938\u0930\u094d\u0935\u0926\u0930\u094d\u0936\u0928\u0903)<\/p>\n<p>The one who shows all of his greatness to those who have accepted his supremacy is called \u2018sarvadharSana:\u2019\u00a0 \u2013 the one who shows all of his greatness.<\/p>\n<p>The scriptures say:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cSuch a soul, who is devoid of sorrows, sees that effulgent and supreme ruler \u2013 bhagavAn \u2013 transcending thamas purely out of his grace\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201c\u2026to those souls, bhagavAn shows his own divine and auspicious body\u201d, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Etymology: He is called \u2018sarvadharSana:\u2019\u00a0 since he shows his own all-enduring greatness to the deserving souls, and also since he only grants the necessary vision for it.<\/p>\n<p>\u092e\u0939\u093f\u092e\u093e\u0928\u0902 \u0938\u0930\u094d\u0935\u0938\u0939\u0902 \u0924\u0946\u0937\u093e\u0902 \u0926\u0930\u094d\u0936\u092f\u0924\u0940\u0924\u093f \u0938\u0903 |<br \/>\n\u0938\u0930\u094d\u0935\u0926\u0930\u094d\u0936\u0928 \u0906\u0916\u094d\u092f\u093e\u0924\u094a \u0928\u0935\u093e\u0930\u094d\u0923\u094a \u0932\u094a\u091a\u0928\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0926\u0903 ||<\/p>\n<p>==============================<br \/>\n\u0905\u091c\u0903 \u0938\u0930\u094d\u0935\u0946\u0936\u094d\u0935\u0930\u0903 \u0938\u093f\u0926\u094d\u0927\u0903 \u0938\u093f\u0926\u094d\u0927\u093f\u0903 \u0938\u0930\u094d\u0935\u093e\u0926\u093f\u0930\u091a\u094d\u092f\u0941\u0924\u0903 \u0964<br \/>\n\u0935\u0943\u0937\u093e\u0915\u092a\u093f\u0930\u092e\u0946\u092f\u093e\u0924\u094d\u092e\u093e \u0938\u0930\u094d\u0935\u092f\u094a\u0917\u0935\u093f\u0928\u093f\u0938\u094d\u0938\u0943\u0924\u0903 \u0965 \u0967\u0967 \u0965<br \/>\n==============================<\/p>\n<p>96. aja: (\u0905\u091c\u0903) (also repeated in 206, 524)<\/p>\n<p>For all such souls, since he is the one who wards off all the obstacles that stop them from attaining him, he is called \u2018aja:\u2019 \u2013 the remover of all obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>In this divine name, the word \u2018aja:\u2019 gets the meaning of \u2018warding off\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>This is as said in the scriptures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cAmong such souls, I destroy their ignorance out of sheer mercy by residing in their minds as the guiding light of knowledge\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cI shall free you from all of your sins\u201d, etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Etymology: He is called \u2018aja:\u2019, for he wards off all obstacles in attaining him for the individual souls.<\/p>\n<p>\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0924\u094d\u092f\u0930\u094d\u0925\u093f\u0928\u0903 \u0938\u094d\u0935\u0938\u092e\u094d\u092a\u094d\u0930\u093e\u092a\u094d\u0924\u094c \u092a\u094d\u0930\u091c\u093e\u0928\u0902 \u0915\u094d\u0937\u093f\u092a\u0924\u0940\u0924\u093f \u0905\u091c\u0903 |<\/p>\n<p>97. sarvESvara: (\u0938\u0930\u094d\u0935\u0946\u0936\u094d\u0935\u0930\u0903)<\/p>\n<p>Since he gets hold of all surrendered souls by himself instantly by removing off their dependence on others in attaining him and their frailty, without differentiating them as capable or incapable souls, he is called \u2018sarvESvara:\u2019 \u2013 the one who attains the individual souls impartially.<\/p>\n<p>The root \u2018aSnOthi\u2019 \u0905\u0936\u094d\u0928\u094a\u0924\u093f (attains) is suffixed with the \u2018varat\u2019 (\u0935\u0930\u091f\u094d) adjunct to indicate that such attainment is instant in nature. The \u2018a\u2019 (\u0905) in the root changes to \u2018I\u2019 (\u0908), resulting in the form of \u2018ISvara:\u2019 (\u0908\u0936\u094d\u0935\u0930\u0903).<\/p>\n<p>In the SrI rAmAyaNam,\u00a0 bhagavAn is said to have reached and attained vibhIshaNa similarly, in a quick instant.<\/p>\n<p>Etymology: The one who attains all surrendered souls himself instantly \u2013 irrespective of whether the souls are capable or not \u2013 in order to iron out their mutual differences is called \u2018sarvESvara:\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u0905\u0936\u0915\u094d\u0924\u093e\u0928\u093e\u0902 \u091a \u0936\u0915\u094d\u0924\u093e\u0928\u093e\u0902 \u0935\u0948\u0930\u0942\u092a\u094d\u092f\u0902 \u0936\u0930\u0923\u0948\u0937\u093f\u0923\u093e\u092e\u094d |<br \/>\n\u0905\u0936\u094d\u0928\u0941\u0924\u0946 \u092a\u0930\u093f\u0939\u0930\u094d\u0924\u0941\u0902 \u092f\u0903 \u0938 \u0938\u0930\u094d\u0935\u0946\u0936\u094d\u0935\u0930 \u0908\u0930\u093f\u0924\u0903 ||<\/p>\n<p>98. sidhdha: (\u0938\u093f\u0926\u094d\u0927\u0903) (also repeated in 825)<\/p>\n<p>For all such surrendered souls, he is said to be the ready means of salvation \u2013 by his nature. The word \u2018sidhdha:\u2019 represents a readily available entity. This divine name shows his piety in uplifting souls.
