In this pAsuram, he describes the way emperumAn rules over him without making any distinction between day and night.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>pagalirA enbadhuvum pAviyAdhu emmai<br \/>\n<\/em><em>igal seydhu irupozhudhum ALvar thagavAth<br \/>\n<\/em><em>thozhumbar ivar sIrkkum thuNaiyilar enRu OrAr<br \/>\n<\/em><em>sezhum paravai mEyAr therindhu<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>therindhu sezhu paravai mEyAr \u2013 one who analyses and goes to thiruppARkadal (milky ocean) to recline<\/p>\n<p>ivar \u2013 this <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a><\/p>\n<p>thagavA thozhumbar \u2013 has lowliness and not qualified (for his mercy)<\/p>\n<p>sIrkkum \u2013 to meditate on his (superior) qualities<\/p>\n<p>thuNai ilar \u2013 does not have support<\/p>\n<p>enRu OrAr \u2013 not analysing<\/p>\n<p>pagal irA enbadhuvum \u2013 that it is day time or it is night time (having or not having the qualification for experiencing <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s auspicious qualities)<\/p>\n<p>pAviyAdhu \u2013 not bothered about it<\/p>\n<p>emmai \u2013 this servitor<\/p>\n<p>igal seydhu \u2013 combating (ruling over)<\/p>\n<p>iru pozhudhum \u2013 during both times<\/p>\n<p>ALvar \u2013 will engage (in his qualities)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>pagal irA enbadhuvum pAviyAdhu emmai igal seydhu iru pozhudhum ALvar<\/strong> \u2013 Without thinking that day time is for carrying out deeds and night time is for taking rest, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>, waging a battle with <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>, keeps attracting AzhwAr with his auspicious qualities constantly, during both times [day and night] in such a way that AzhwAr would feel very happy when he gets to experience those qualities and feel distressed when not experiencing them enough.
