In the previous pAsuram, he went the way of happiness and in this pAsuram, finding that emperumAn is not showing his divine form to him, suffers. Even though his desire for emperumAn developed only after taking his present physical form, it appears to <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> that he had been having this desire to see emperumAn from time immemorial.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>enRum orunAL ozhiyAmai yAnirandhAl<\/em><br \/>\n<em>onRum irangAr urukkAttAr kunRu<\/em><br \/>\n<em>kudaiyAga AkAththa kOvalanAr nenjE<\/em><br \/>\n<em>pudaidhAn peridhE puvi<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>orunAL ozhiyAmai \u2013 without missing even one day<\/p>\n<p>enRum \u2013 at all times<\/p>\n<p>yAn irandhAl \u2013 even if I beseech<\/p>\n<p>kunRu kudaiyAga \u2013 taking the hill gOvardhana like an umbrella<\/p>\n<p>AkAththa \u2013 one who protected cows<\/p>\n<p>kOvalanAr \u2013 one who tends to cows<\/p>\n<p>onRum irangAr \u2013 does not show even a little bit of mercy<\/p>\n<p>uru kAttAr \u2013 does not show his divine form too<\/p>\n<p>nenjE \u2013 Oh my mind<\/p>\n<p>puvidhAn \u2013 this earth<\/p>\n<p>pudai peridhE \u2013 appears to be on an elevated place (such that his mercy will not flow towards us)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>enRum orunAL ozhiyAmai nAn irandhAl onRum irangAr urukkAttAr<\/strong> \u2013 I have been begging him from time immemorial, to see him; he (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>) is not showing any mercy towards me, from wherever he is staying, thinking \u201cOh, he is beseeching me\u201d; he is not showing me his divine form either.<\/p>\n<p><strong>kunRu kudaiyAga AkAththa kOvalanAr<\/strong> \u2013 Isn\u2019t he the one who protected cows by holding the hill gOvardhana like an umbrella? If he had not manifested himself to anyone, I could have comforted myself saying that he has not shown himself to me because of his nature. Isn\u2019t the person, who showed himself up to cows who cannot even realise the great benefit that he had shown them, not showing himself to me and helping me?<\/p>\n<p><strong>nenjE pudaidhAn peridhE puvi<\/strong> \u2013 Oh heart! Since he had protected cows, we cannot say that he does not have simplicity.
