Alternatively, we can say that this pAsuram talks about such simplicity of emperumAn that he gave place, in his divine form, for even brahmA, rudhra et al.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>ini ninRu nin perumai yAn uraippadhu ennE<\/em><br \/>\n<em>thani ninRa sArvilA mUrththi pani nIr<\/em><br \/>\n<em>agaththulavu senjadaiyAn ninnAgaththAn nAngu<\/em><br \/>\n<em>mugaththAn ninnundhi mudhal<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>thani ninRa \u2013 standing as a unique, causative factor, during the time of <em>mahApraLayam<\/em> (great deluge)<\/p>\n<p>sArvu ilA \u2013 not having anyone as a refuge for him<\/p>\n<p>mUrththi \u2013 Oh my lord!<\/p>\n<p>pani nIr agaththulavu \u2013 having the cool gangA (river Ganges) which is flowing inside<\/p>\n<p>sem sadaiyAn \u2013 siva who has reddish matted hair<\/p>\n<p>AgaththAn \u2013 resides in a corner of your divine form<\/p>\n<p>nAngu mugaththAn \u2013 brahmA, who has four faces<\/p>\n<p>nin undhi mudhal \u2013 has your divine navel as the cause for his existence<\/p>\n<p>ini \u2013 when things are like these<\/p>\n<p>yAn ninRu \u2013 I, taking efforts<\/p>\n<p>nin perumai \u2013 your greatness<\/p>\n<p>uraippadhu ennE \u2013 how to talk about?<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>ini ninRu nin perumAi yAn uraippadhu ennE<\/strong> \u2013 we can consider this to mean either \u201cIs there any need for me to talk about your greatness?\u201d or \u201cIs there any need for me to talk about your simplicity?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>thani ninRa sArvilA mUrththi<\/strong> \u2013 Oh <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>! During the time of great deluge, you stood with all the resultant entities (which are created by causative entities) as part of yourself without any name or form, having integrated themselves into their causative entities; you did not have anyone in whom you could take refuge [unlike these resultant entities who took refuge in you, along with their causative entities, all of them without any name or any form]. The term <em>sArvu<\/em> refers to being related to something or leaning against something; thus in this context it refers to emperumAn being without anyone on whom he could lean against. Did not vEdha (sacred text) also glorify emperumAn, as mentioned in thaiththirIya upanishath nArAyaNavalli \u201c<em>pathim viSvasyAthmESvaram SASvatham Sivamachyutham<\/em>\u201d (being the lord of all the worlds, being <em>ISvaran<\/em> himself (one who controls everything), being intransient, being auspicious and being one who will never let down his followers), saying that he is the lord for all the worlds and that he does not have one who will control him! Alternatively the term <em>sArvu<\/em> would also mean \u201ccomparable\u201d and hence <em>sArvilA mUrththi<\/em> could be said that <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> is incomparable. Just as krishNa says in mahAbhAratham AshramavASika parvam 118-37 \u201c<em>rudhram samASrithA dhEvA rudhrO brahmANamASritha:<\/em> I <em>brahmA mamASrithO rAjan nAham kinchidhupASritha:<\/em> II\u201d (Oh king!
