But he is not showering his grace on us \u201d. Just as AzhwAr had mentioned in his <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/05\/thiruvaimozhi-2-7-6-madhusudhanai-anri\/\">thiruvAimozhi 2-7-6<\/a> \u201c<em>edhirsUzhal pukku enaiththOr piRappum<\/em>\u201d, AzhwAr is not thinking of the efforts taken by emperumAn to obtain AzhwAr whenever he had taken birth in this samsAram. With the (physical) body given by emperumAn and after developing a desire in emperumAn due to the efforts put in by emperumAn, even if there is a slight delay on the part of emperumAn [in coming to the <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">chEthana<\/a>], \u00a0that appears like a fault for AzhwAr. He is not considering the toils of emperumAn when he had come after AzhwAr wondering if he would get involved with him during each of his earlier births. The saying in SAsthras that when a chEthana (sentient entity) gets involved with emperumAn and if emperumAn does not shower his mercy on the chEthana, then it is emperumAn\u2019s fault, is explained here. However much troubles a child may give its mother, if the mother does not give food to her child when the child cries for food, then it is said that the mother is at fault.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>pirindhonRu nOkkAdhu thammudaiya pinnE<\/em><br \/>\n<em>thirindhuzhalum sindhainaiyAr thammaip purindhorugAl<\/em><br \/>\n<em>AvA ena irangAr andhO validhE kol<\/em><br \/>\n<em>mAvAy piLandhAr manam<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>pirindhu \u2013 other than self [<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p>onRu nOkkAdhu \u2013 not thinking of anything else<\/p>\n<p>thammudaiya pinnE \u2013 going behind him<\/p>\n<p>thirindhu uzhalum \u2013 roaming, and tottering<\/p>\n<p>sindhanaiyAr thammai \u2013 my mind<\/p>\n<p>oru kAl \u2013 even once<\/p>\n<p>purindhu \u2013 showering mercy<\/p>\n<p>A A [AvA] ena \u2013 saying \u201cOh my! How sad!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>irangAr \u2013 he is not showing any consideration<\/p>\n<p>andhO \u2013 Oh my!<\/p>\n<p>mA vAy piLandhAr manam \u2013 the mind of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who tore the mouth of demon kESi, who came in the form of a horse<\/p>\n<p>validhE kol \u2013 how did it become so hardened?<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>pirindhu onRu nOkkAdhu thammudaiya piNNe thirindhu uzhalum<\/strong> \u2013 without thinking of anything else, following only him and tottering<\/p>\n<p><strong>sindhanaiyAr thammaip purindhu oru kAl A A [AvA] ena irangAr<\/strong> \u2013 he [<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>] does not show mercy on the heart [<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>\u2019s], by looking at it with affection, thinking \u201cThere is none for this heart other than myself\u201d,<\/p>\n<p><strong>andhO validhE kol mAvAi piLandhAr manam<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> had killed the demon kESi for the sake of his followers, in order to rid them of their troubles. How such emperumAn\u2019s mind has hardened now!
