While&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> was explaining <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> to be mOksha pradhan (one who grants liberation), he was also greatly glorifying mOksham in the beginning, middle and the end [of the decad], ISvaran thought &#8220;It seems AzhwAr is desirous of mOksham&#8221;, and decides to grant him that; AzhwAr rejected it considering &#8220;mOksham given to me for my pleasure is filled with ahankAram (self-interest, ego) and hence it is apurushArtham (not the result)&#8221;; AzhwAr subsequently says &#8220;Let me live in paramapadham joyfully or in material realm with grief, I have no relationship with that; you mercifully make me exist in that particular state which is pleasing to you&#8221; and determines the goal in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/06\/thiruvaimozhi-2-9-emmavidu\/\">thiruvAimozhi 2.9<\/a> &#8220;<em>emmA vIttu<\/em>&#8220;; <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">mAmunigaL<\/a> mercifully explains this starting with \u201c<em>emmA vIdum vENdA<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n<h3>pAsuram<\/h3>\n<p><em>emmA vIdum vENdA enRankkun thALiNaiyE<\/em><br \/><em>ammA amaiyum ena Ayndhuraiththa &#8211; nammudaiya<\/em><br \/><em>vAzh mudhalA mARan malarth thALiNai sUdik<\/em><br \/><em>kIzhmaiyaRRu nenjE kiLar<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/yourlisten.com\/sarathy.thothathri\/thiruvaimozhi-nurrandhadhi-19\">Listen<\/a><\/h3>\n<iframe src=\"\/\/yourlisten.com\/embed\/html5?17750172\" style=\"width:100%;\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n<h3>word-by-word meanings<\/h3>\n<p>ammA &#8211; Oh lord!<br \/>emmA vIdum vENdA &#8211; not even mOksham, which is superior in all aspects, is required<br \/>enRanakku &#8211; for me<br \/>un thAL iNaiyE &#8211; your highness&#8217; divine feet only<br \/>amaiyum ena &#8211; saying, suffficient<br \/>Ayndhu uraiththa &#8211; analysed and mercifully spoke<br \/>nammudaiya vAzh mudhalAm mARan&nbsp; &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> who is the cause for our sustenance, his<br \/>malarth thAL iNai &#8211; divine lotus feet<br \/>sUdi &#8211; placing on our head<br \/>kIzhmai aRRu &#8211; without desire for lowly results<br \/>nenjE &#8211; Oh heart!<br \/>kiLar &#8211; you shall rise more and more<\/p>\n<h3>Simple Translation<\/h3>\n<p>Oh heart! Placing the divine lotus feet of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> who is the cause for our sustenance, who mercifully spoke saying &#8220;Oh lord! It is sufficient to have the divine feet of your highness&#8221;, on our head, without any desire for lowly results, you shall rise more and more.<\/p>\n<h3>Highlights from vyAkyAnam<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><em>emmA vIdum vENdA enRankkun thALiNaiyE <\/em><em>ammA amaiyum ena Ayndhuraiththa <\/em>&#8211; I don&#8217;t need mOksham which is distinguished in any manner; mercifully spoken by <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> who determined to have <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>&#8216;s divine feet on his head, after analysing liberation in the context of nature of <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">jIvAthmA (self, SEshabhUtha, the servitor)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">paramAthmA (SEshi, the lord)<\/a>, saying &#8220;the divine feet of your highness are sufficient&#8221; as said in SrI rAmAyaNam ayOdhyA kANdam 98.8 &#8220;<em>yAvanna charaNau &#8211; SirasA dhArayishyAmi<\/em>&#8221; ((I will not be at peace until I hold the divine feet of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">SrI rAma<\/a> on my head). Instead of <em>Ayndhu<\/em>, it can also be seen as <em>vAyndhu<\/em>, meaning &#8220;being fixed in this principle&#8221;. This is following AzhwAr&#8217;s &#8220;<em>emmA vIdu<\/em>&#8221; from the beginning. AzhwAr started with &#8220;<em>nin semmA pAdha paRputh thalai sErththu<\/em>&#8221; (joining your great divine lotus feet on my head) [1st pAsuram] and ended it with &#8220;<em>un ponnadi sErththu<\/em>&#8221; (uniting with your golden feet) [10th pAsuram]. <em>thALiNaiyE<\/em> indicates what is said by AzhwAr in &#8220;<em>thanakkEyAga enaik koLLum IdhE<\/em>&#8221; (he should have me for his own sake only) [4th pAsuram]; having the head to be the seat for emperumAn&#8217;s divine feet, is total subservience.<em><br \/><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>nammudaiya vAzh mudhalA mARan<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>, who is the cause for the wealth which matches our nature. AzhwAr&#8217;s sustenance is based on ISvaran as said in &#8220;<em>thaniyEn vAzhmudhalE<\/em>&#8221; (primary cause for living to me who is lonely); <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">mAmunigaL<\/a>&#8216;s sustenance is based on AzhwAr.<\/li>\n<li><em>malarth thALiNai sUdi<\/em> &#8211; Wearing flower like divine feet of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> just as those who wear fresh flowers as said in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2017\/01\/thiruvaimozhi-4-3-6-kala-chakkaraththodu\/\">thiruvAimozhi 4.3.6<\/a> &#8220;<em>kOlamAm en sennikku un kamalam anna kurai kazhalE<\/em>&#8221; (your infinitely enjoyable lotus flower like divine feet which make sounds of bravery are the shining radiant decoration for my head) and in &#8220;<em>pAdha paRputh thalai sErththu<\/em>&#8221; (joining your lotus feet with my head) [1st pAsuram].<\/li>\n<li><em>kIzhmai aRRu nenjE kiLar<\/em> &#8211; Oh heart!
