Not only <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> was separated from <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>, but also from nithyasUris who are emperumAn&#8217;s life, and became unconscious to be unaware of what is happening to him. Those who care for AzhwAr pray to emperumAn for him; this is explained by AzhwAr in the mood of a divine mother whose daughter became bewildered after being separated from emperumAn subsequent to a union, where the mother informs emperumAn her emotions and actions in separation, in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/03\/thiruvaimozhi-2-4-adiyadi\/\">thiruvAimozhi 2.4<\/a> &#8220;<em>Adi Adi<\/em>&#8220;; <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">mAmunigaL<\/a> mercifully explains this starting with \u201c<em>Adi magizh<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n<h3>pAsuram<\/h3>\n<p><em>Adi magizh vAnil adiyAr kuzhAngaLudan<\/em><br \/>\n<em>kUdi inbam eydhAk kuRai adhanAl &#8211; vAdi miga<\/em><br \/>\n<em>anbuRRAr than nilaimai Ayndhuraikka mOgiththuth <\/em><br \/>\n<em>thunbuRRAn mARan andhO<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/yourlisten.com\/sarathy.thothathri\/thiruvaimozhi-nurrandhadhi-14\">pAsuram 14<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><iframe style=\"width: 100%;\" src=\"\/\/yourlisten.com\/embed\/html5?17749742\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>word-by-word meanings<\/h3>\n<p>Adi magizh &#8211; dancing in joy (due to enjoying bhagavAn)<br \/>\nvAnil &#8211; residing in paramapadham<br \/>\nadiyAr kuzhAngaLudan &#8211; with the group of devotees<br \/>\nkUdi &#8211; uniting<br \/>\ninbam eydhAk kuRai adhanAl &#8211; being upset in not enjoying<br \/>\nmiga vAdi &#8211; becoming very grieved<br \/>\nanbuRRAr &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\">madhurakavi AzhwAr<\/a> et al who were greatly affectionate towards <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a><br \/>\nthan nilaimai &#8211; his state<br \/>\nAyndhu uraikka &#8211; to analyse and explain<br \/>\nmARan &#8211; AzhwAr<br \/>\nmOgiththu &#8211; became perplexed<br \/>\nthunbuRRAn &#8211; suffered;<br \/>\nandhO &#8211; alas!<\/p>\n<h3>Simple Translation<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>, being upset in not enjoying the union with the group of devotees residing in paramapadham and dancing in joy with them, became very grieved; he became perplexed and suffered to be analysed and explained by <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\">madhurakavi AzhwAr<\/a> et al who were greatly affectionate towards him; alas!<\/p>\n<h3>Highlights from vyAkyAnam<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Adi magizh vAnil adiyAr kuzhAngaLudan <\/em><em>kUdi inbam eydhAk kuRai adhanAl<\/em> &#8211; [First] <em>Adi magizh vAnil<\/em> &#8211; being immersed in bhagavath vishayam and becoming blissful; alternatively &#8211; due to enjoying bhagavAn, dancing as said in SrI rAmAyaNam sundhara kANdam 61.14 &#8220;<em>nruthyanthi kEchith<\/em>&#8221; (some monkeys were dancing), and becoming blissful due to that. In such [spiritual] sky, there are devotees i.e., nithyasUris, who are the residents of SrIvaikuNtam; due to not having joined in their assembly and acquiring bliss, and hence feeling incomplete, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> who is suffering as said in &#8220;<em>vAdi vAdum<\/em>&#8221; (very exhausted) [1st pAsuram].<\/li>\n<li><em>anbuRRAr than nilaimai Ayndhu uraikka<\/em> &#8211; Well wishers such as madhurakavi AzhwAr et al, who are well aware and have great affection towards AzhwAr as said in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/02\/kanninun-chiruth-thambu-10-payan-anragilum\/\">kaNNinuN chiRuth thAmbu 10<\/a> &#8220;<em>muyalginREn unRan moy kazhaRkanbaiyE<\/em>&#8221; (trying to develop affection only to your divine feet), informed <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s bewilderment to <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>, and praying through them &#8220;this is possible by the mercy of your highness&#8221;. This is done in the mood of a caring mother of the girl, analysing and speaking about her nature.<\/li>\n<li><em>mOgiththuth thunbuRRAn mARan andhO<\/em> &#8211; AzhwAr who reached the state, where he is too bewildered to speak about his own state, alas. As said in SrI rAmAyaNam sundhara kANdam 16. 28 &#8220;<em>mayApi vyathitham mana:<\/em>&#8221; (my mind is gloomy) and thiruchchandha viruththam 52 &#8220;<em>aRRa paRRar<\/em>&#8221; (those devotees who are totally detached), his attachment is to be pitied .<\/li>\n<li><em>anbuRRAr than nilaimai Ayndhuraikka<\/em> &#8211; As said in SrI rAmAyaNam Sundhar kANdam 31.19 &#8220;<em>sAthiryak Urdhvancha<\/em>&#8221; (sIthA pirAtti looked at her sides and at the top), <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> mercifully spoke in &#8220;<em>engum nAdi nAdi narasingA enRu vAdi vAdum<\/em>&#8221; (she is looking for <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> calling out as narasimha!) [pAsuram 1], &#8220;<em>ummaik kANum AsaiyuL naiginRAL, ummaik kANa nIr irakkam ileeRE<\/em>&#8221; (This girl with shining forehead and abundance of humility is becoming weak due to desire to see you (who is a treat to eyes); Oh the one who cut off the thousand shoulders of the prideful bANAsura! you have no mercy to show your form) [2nd pAsuram], &#8220;<em>vaNdu thivaLum thaNNanthuzhAy kodIrenna thavaLa vaNNar thagavugaLE<\/em>&#8221; (you, who are pure natured (towards your devotees), are not giving your divinely shining thuLasi which has shining bees) [5th pAsuram] and &#8220;<em>ummaith thanjam enRu ivaL pattanavE<\/em>&#8221; (she is going through much suffering for considering you as refuge ) [8th pAsuram), &#8220;<em>numadhu ittam en kol ivvEzhaikkE<\/em>&#8221; (what are your thoughts for this poor girl who is desirous?) [9th pAsuam] and &#8220;<em>ivaL<\/em> <em>mAzhai nOkkonRum vAttEnminE<\/em>&#8221; (you at least ensure that <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">parAnguSa nAyaki<\/a>\u2018s eyes which look like those of a tender deer, are protected) [10th pAsuram].
