AzhwAr greatly desired for <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> as in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/07\/thiruvaimozhi-1-3-10-thuyakkaru-mathiyil\/\">thiruvAimozhi 1.3.10<\/a> &#8220;<em>peru nilam kadandha nalladip pOdhu ayarppilan alaRRuvan thazhuvuvan vaNanguvan<\/em>&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> has a blackish hue which resembles dark clouds, casually measured the earth with his beautiful lotus feet. I will be firmly engaged with his lotus feet, not forgetting him (meditating upon him constantly), blabbering his glories with my mouth, embrace him with great love and offer obeisances bowing down my head \u2013 thus engaging all my 3 faculties of senses (mind, speech and body) in his service), but could not enjoy emperumAn as desired; due to the shadguNa sAmyam (equivalence in six aspects between jIvAthmAs and SrI mahAlakshmi), AzhwAr lost his own state, assumed the state of a pirAtti (consort of emperumAn) and was able to send a messenger in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/07\/thiruvaimozhi-1-4-anjiraiya\/\">thiruvAimozhi 1.4<\/a> &#8220;<em>anjiRaiya mada nArAy<\/em>&#8220;; but here, as said in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/10\/thiruvaimozhi-1-10-9-nambiyaith-thenkurungudi\/\">thiruvAimozhi 1.10.9<\/a> &#8220;<em>nambiyaith then kuRungudi ninRa<\/em>&#8221; etc, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> desired to enjoy <a href=\"http:\/\/ponnadi.blogspot.in\/p\/archavathara-anubhavam.html\">archAvathAra emperumAn<\/a> who has unlimited supremacy, simplicity and beauty, who is present in <a href=\"http:\/\/thirukkurungudi.koyil.org\">thirukkuRungudi<\/a> so that even those who are subsequent to <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>&#8216;s avathArams (incarnations), can reach out to him; but here too, AzhwAr could not enjoy emperumAn and hence becomes bewildered; he then considers worldly entities such as crane, ibis, ocean, northerly wind, sky, moon, darkness, salt pans, lamp etc are also suffering in separation from bhagavAn like himself, and speaks with grief on behalf of them too, in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/11\/thiruvaimozhi-2-1-vayum\/\">thiruvAimozhi 2.1<\/a> &#8220;<em>vAyum thiRai ugaLum<\/em>&#8220;; <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">mAmunigaL<\/a> mercifully explains this starting with \u201c<em>vAyum thirumAl<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n<h3>pAsuram<\/h3>\n<p><em>vAyum thirumAl maRaiya niRka ARRAmai <\/em><br \/>\n<em>pOy vinji mikka pulambudhalAy &#8211; Aya <\/em><br \/>\n<em>aRiyadhavaRROdu aNaindhazhudha mARan<\/em><br \/>\n<em>seRivArai nOkkum thiNindhu<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/yourlisten.com\/sarathy.thothathri\/thiruvaimozhi-nurrandhadhi-11\">Listen<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><iframe style=\"width: 100%;\" src=\"\/\/yourlisten.com\/embed\/html5?17749325\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>word-by-word meanings<\/h3>\n<p>vAyum &#8211; has the nature of approaching (the devotees, to be enjoyed by them)<br \/>\nthirumAl &#8211; Sriya:pathi (lord of SrI mahAlakshmi)<br \/>\nmaRaiya niRka &#8211; was hiding (to be not seen by <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>) (due to that)<br \/>\nARRamai pOy vinji &#8211; the sorrow increased<br \/>\nmikka pulambudhalAy &#8211; reaching state of uncontrolled weeping<br \/>\nAya aRiyadhavaRROdu &#8211; those which cannot analyse his sorrow (due to being achEthana (insentient))<br \/>\naNaindhu &#8211; embraced them<br \/>\nazhudha &#8211; cried (having them as equal partners in suffering)<br \/>\nmARan &#8211; AzhwAr<br \/>\nseRivArai &#8211; devotees<br \/>\nthiNindhu nOkkum &#8211; firmly bless with his merciful eyes.<\/p>\n<h3>Simple Translation<\/h3>\n<p>As the SrIya:pathi who approaches his devotees, was hiding, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s sorrow increased and he reached a state of uncontrolled weeping; he embraced those which cannot analyse his sorrow and cried; such AzhwAr firmly blesses the devotees with his merciful eyes.<\/p>\n<h3>Highlights from vyAkyAnam<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><em>vAyum thirumAl maRaiya niRka<\/em> &#8211; Sriya:pathi who has the nature of approaching his devotees to be enjoyed by them, separated and hid himself from <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>, to control the enjoyment. <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">mAmunigaL<\/a> is repeating (thirumAl) what AzhwAr said in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/10\/thiruvaimozhi-1-10-4-nenjame-nallai\/\">thiruvAimozhi 1.10.4<\/a> &#8220;<em>maindhanai malarAL maNavALanai<\/em>&#8221; (the eternally youthful husband of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sri-mahalakshmi\/\">srI mahAlakshmi<\/a>); it can also be considered to be repeating what is said in &#8220;<em>nIyum thirumAlAl<\/em>&#8221; (was your heart also stolen by SrIman nArAyaNa) [pAsuram 1]. As said in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/10\/thiruvaimozhi-1-10-11-maniyai-vanavar\/\">thiruvAimozhi 1.10.11<\/a> &#8220;<em>maNiyai vAnavar kaNNanaith thannadhOr aNiyai<\/em>&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> who has a form which resembles radiant precious gem, who is the controller of nithyasUris, and who is decorated naturally having none to compare against him), due to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who is having supremacy, simplicity and beauty, separating.<\/li>\n<li><em>ARRamai pOy vinji mikka pulambudhalAy<\/em> &#8211; As said in &#8220;<em>ArAdha kAdhal&#8221;<\/em> (never-satiating love) [pAsuram 11], the suffering in separation became too much to handle, and as said in SrI rAmAyaNam ayOdhyA kANdam 102.4 \u201c<em>sIthE mruthasthE svasura: pithrA hInOsi lakshmaNa<\/em>\u201d (Oh sIthA! your father-in-law passed away; Oh lakshmaNa! you have lost your father), lamenting repeatedly saying &#8220;<em>emmE pOl nIyum<\/em>&#8221; (you too are suffering like me).<\/li>\n<li><em>Aya aRiyAdhavaRROdu aNaindhu azhudha mARan<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> who cried embracing the achEthana (insentient) entities which cannot analyse his sorrows, considering them to be equal partners in his suffering saying &#8220;<em>ARRAmai solli azhuvOmai<\/em>&#8221; (crying and lamenting about the helpless state) [7th pAsuram]. <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nayanar\/\">azhagiya maNavALap perumAL nAyanAr<\/a> too said in AchArya hrudhayam &#8220;<em>kARRum kazhiyum katti azha<\/em>&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> cried along with wind and salt pan).<\/li>\n<li><em>seRivArai nOkkum thiNindhu<\/em> &#8211; AzhwAr will firmly bless those who confidentially surrender without any expectation.
