After we start meditating on his auspicious qualities, there is no place in our heart for our karmas (virtuous and sinful deeds) which have been troubling us and which were hurdles in attaining him\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>ingillai paNdupOl vIRRiruththal ennudaiya<\/em><br \/>\n<em>sengaNmAl sIrkkum siRidhuLLam angE<\/em><br \/>\n<em>madiyadakki niRpadhanil valvinaiyAr thAm mINdu<\/em><br \/>\n<em>adiyeduppadhanRO azhagu<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>ingu \u2013 in my mind (for my karmas)<br \/>\npaNdu pOl \u2013 like earlier times<br \/>\nvIRRiruththal illai \u2013 there is no place to sit expansively<br \/>\nennudaiya sengaNmAl \u2013 my swAmy (lord), having reddish eyes indicating affection, that sarvESvaran\u2019s<br \/>\nsIrkkum \u2013 auspicious qualities<br \/>\n(idamillAdahapadi \u2013 without a place)<br \/>\nuLLam siRidhu \u2013 my heart is very small<br \/>\nvalvinaiyAr thAm \u2013 my cruel sins<br \/>\nangE \u2013 in that same place (wherefrom they were ruling)<br \/>\nmadi adakki niRpadhanil \u2013 instead of standing submissively, folding the end of their dress<br \/>\nmINdu \u2013 moving away from there<br \/>\nadi eduppadhanRO azhagu \u2013 isn\u2019t stepping back, a thing of beauty?<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>ingillai paNdu pOl vIRRiruththal<\/strong> \u2013 There is no place in my heart for my karmas (virtuous and sinful deeds) which were sitting expansively as if they were ruling my heart since time immemorial. <em>vIRRiruththal<\/em> \u2013 sitting in a way which displays their excellence.<\/p>\n<p>What has happened now for them?<\/p>\n<p><strong>ennudaiya sengaNmAl sIrkkum siRidhuLLam<\/strong> \u2013 my heart is so small that there is no place even for the auspicious qualities of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who is my swAmy (lord) and who has reddish eyes. The term <em>sengaNmAl<\/em> indicates that he is supreme and that he has deep affection towards his followers. <em>mAl<\/em> \u2013 he is a huge supreme being.<\/p>\n<p>Next, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> says something assuming that the sins had requested him \u201cWe will stand in a corner there itself\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>angE madi adakki niRpadhanil valvinaiyAr thAm mINdu adi eduppadhanRO azhagu<\/strong> \u2013 AzhwAr says that it will be respectable for the cruel sins to vacate their place instead of standing in a corner, shrinking themselves, in the place where they were ruling roost all along.
