In this pAsuram, he tells his heart \u201cIf we think of your lowly activities, it is proper that we move away from emperumAn. But if we think of emperumAn\u2019s activities, we can approach him\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>pArththOr edhiridhA nenjE padu thuyaram<\/em><br \/>\n<em>perththOdhap pIdazhivAm pEchchillai ArththOdham<\/em><br \/>\n<em>tham mEni(th)thAL thadavath thAngidandhu thammudaiya<\/em><br \/>\n<em>semmEnik kaN vaLarvAr sIr<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>nenjE \u2013 Oh mind (which is leaving <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> due to being unsuitable)<br \/>\nOdham \u2013 ocean<br \/>\nArththu \u2013 agitating<br \/>\ntham mEni thAL thadava \u2013 rubbing his divine physical form and divine feet<br \/>\nthAm kidandhu \u2013 lying down<br \/>\nthammudaiya semmEni kaN vaLarvAr \u2013 one who is closing his reddish eyes and carrying out <em>yOganidhdhirai<\/em> (a meditative posture where the body is relaxed and mind is fully alert)<br \/>\nsIr \u2013 his auspicious qualities<br \/>\npadu thuyaram pErththu \u2013 not thinking of our suffering<br \/>\nOdha \u2013 if we meditate<br \/>\npIdu azhivAm pEchchillai \u2013 that <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s greatness will be destroyed will not happen<br \/>\nedhiridhA \u2013 at the very beginning<br \/>\npArththu Or \u2013 knowing (this), analyse<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>nenjE edhiridhA pArththu Or<\/strong> \u2013 Oh heart! Analyse this at the very beginning, seeing it directly.<\/p>\n<p>But, what is to be analysed?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arththu Odham tham mEni thAL thadava thAm kidandhu thammudaiya semmEnik kaN vaLarvAr sIr padu thuyaram pErththOdha pIdazhivAm pEchchillai <\/strong>\u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> is lying in the roaring ocean which is gently rubbing against his divine form and divine feet. He is in <em>yOganidhrA <\/em>posture (wherein the body if fully relaxed and the mind is fully alert). If we forget our sorrows and think of his auspicious qualities, there is no possibility that such thinking will lead to destruction of his greatness. The word <em>semmEnikkaN<\/em> would refer to reddish coloured eyes.
