Just as emperumAn desires to shift from his residences at various places to AzhwAr\u2019s heart as mentioned in pAsurams such as periya thiruvandhAdhi 65 \u201c<em>kallum kanaikadalum vaigundha vAnAdum pullenRozhindhana kol &#8230;. adiyEnadhu uLLaththu agam<\/em>\u201d (emperumAn has entered my heart and all his earlier residences such as thiruvEngadam (kal \u2013 thiruvEngadam), thiruppARkadal, SrIvaikuNtam etc have become bushy areas since no one goes there as a result of emperumAn having shifted from there&#8230;), <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/thirumazhisai-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> desires to go to thiruvEngadam and see emperumAn instead of seeing him residing inside his heart. Hasn\u2019t <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> prayed to emperumAn not to leave his residence by mercifully mentioning in his periya thiruvandhAdhi pAsuram \u201c<em>iLam kOyil kaividEl<\/em>\u201d (do not give up the makeshift sannidhi [which is a temporary residence used during renovation of the main sannidhi])!<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>kANal uRuginREn kallaruvi muththudhira<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ONa vizhavil oli adhira pENi<\/em><br \/>\n<em> varu vEngadavA en uLLam pugundhAy<\/em><br \/>\n<em> thiruvEngadam adhanaich chenRu<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word for Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>kal aruvi \u2013 through the streams which make a sound<br \/>\nmuththu udhira \u2013 pearls<br \/>\nONam vizhavil \u2013 in the thiruvONam festival [the star of thiruvEngadaththAn is thirovONam]<br \/>\noli adhira \u2013 with the sounds of praising [<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>], reverberating<br \/>\npENi varu \u2013 (devotees) desirous of coming to<br \/>\nvEngadavA \u2013 Oh one who has taken residence at thiruvEngadam!<br \/>\nen uLLam pugundhAy \u2013 you have entered my heart<\/p>\n<p>(even though you have left thiruvEngadam and entered my heart)<br \/>\nthiruvEngadam adhanai\u00a0 senRu kANal uRuginREn \u2013 I am desirous of going to thiruvEngadam and having your dharSan there<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>kallaruvi muththudhira<\/strong> \u2013 the streams make a sound \u201ckal\u201d and pearls fall down from them. Alternatively, <em>aruvi kal muththu udhira<\/em><strong> \u2013<\/strong> the stream will spill out gemstones like rubies, pearls etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ONa vizhavil oli adhira<\/strong> \u2013 during the festival time of thiruvONam (which is very famous in thiruvEngadam), the sweet voice of those who sing with lot of affection will reverberate through the hills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ONa vizhavil oliyadhira, kallaruvi muththidhira<\/strong> \u2013 the sound of devotees praising <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> at thiruvEngadam will melt stones and they will shed tears. The word <em>oli<\/em> will refer to the sound raised by those who sing praises on emperumAn, those who chant vEdhas, those who sing and dance etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>pENi varu vEngadavA<\/strong> \u2013 Oh emperumAn at thiruvEngadam! You are residing in such a hill where devotees would always keep praising you with lot of affection, where even the insentient entities would lie as if they are in a peaceful state undergone by sentient entities, and which is frequented by your devotees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>pENi varu vEngadavA<\/strong> \u2013 Oh <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> at thiruvEngadam who would neglect all such wealth and desire to enter my heart!<\/p>\n<p><strong>ennuLLam pugundhAy<\/strong> \u2013 you, who are carrying out <em>sAdhanam<\/em> ( an activity carried out as a means to attain a goal), entered the <em>sAdhyam<\/em> (readily available) heart of mine as soon as you obtained it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>thiruvEngadam adhanaich chenRu kANal uRuginREn<\/strong> \u2013 (while you are leaving aside thiruvEngadam and entering my heart) I want to come to thiruvEngadam which is more distinguished than my mind and want to see you there.<\/p>\n<p>What is such a distinguishing feature in thiruvEngadam compared to <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/thirumazhisai-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>\u2019s heart?
