This pAsuram is his response.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>vAnulavau thIvaLi mAkadal mAporuppu<\/em><br \/>\n<em> thAnulavu vengadhirum thaNmadhiyum mEnilavu<\/em><br \/>\n<em> koNdal peyarum dhisaiyettum sUzhchchiyum<\/em><br \/>\n<em> aNdandhirumAl agaippu<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word for Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>vAn \u2013 sky<br \/>\nulavu \u2013 moving<br \/>\nthI \u2013 fire<br \/>\n(ulkavu) vaLi \u2013 moving wind<br \/>\nmA kadal \u2013 huge ocean<br \/>\nmA poruppu \u2013 huge mountains sustaining earth<br \/>\nulavu \u2013 roaming<br \/>\nvem kadhir thAnum \u2013 sUrya with hot rays<br \/>\nthaN madhiyum \u2013 chandhra who is cool<br \/>\nmEl nilavu \u2013 moving above<br \/>\nkoNdal \u2013 clouds<br \/>\npeyarum \u2013 chEthana (sentient) entities<br \/>\ndhisai ettum \u2013 eight directions<br \/>\nsUzhchchiyum \u2013 layers of various materials which surround<br \/>\naNdam \u2013 universe which comprises all these<br \/>\nthirumAL \u2013 emperumA\u2019s<br \/>\nagaippu \u2013 formed due to <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s <em>sankalpa<\/em> (vow)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>vAn<\/strong> \u2013 sky (here it refers to ether)<\/p>\n<p><strong>ulavu thI vaLi mAkadal<\/strong> \u2013 the entities which keep moving constantly, namely fire, wind and water. The word <em>kadal<\/em> (ocean) is indicative of the entire water entity (water in various forms such as ocean, river, stream, lake etc)<\/p>\n<p><strong>mA poruppu<\/strong> \u2013 the huge mountains which sustain earth. This refers to the entity of earth [thus, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/thirumazhisai-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> has mentioned about the five elements of ether, air, fire, water and earth].<\/p>\n<p><strong>thAnulavu vengdhirum thaNmadhiyum<\/strong> \u2013 sUrya (sun) and chandhra (moon) who keep moving around. u<em>lavu<\/em> \u2013 moving. Just as it is mentioned in thaiththirIya upanishath Anandhavalli \u201c<em>bhIshOdhEthi sUrya:<\/em>\u201d, sun (and moon) would rise and set at appropriate times out of fear for <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>mEl nilavu koNdal<\/strong> \u2013 clouds which keep moving above, in the sky.<\/p>\n<p><strong>peyarum<\/strong> \u2013 <em>chEthana varga<\/em> (sentient entities)<\/p>\n<p><strong>koNdal peyarum<\/strong> \u2013 could also be construed as that which is called by the name of cloud.<\/p>\n<p><strong>dhisai ettum<\/strong> \u2013 the eight directions as mentioned in rig vEdha \u201c<em>dhiSascha nArAyaNa&#8230;<\/em>\u201d (nArAyaNa is also the eight directions&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p><strong>sUzhchchiyum<\/strong> \u2013 the seven <em>AvaraNas<\/em> (fortified layers) surrounding universe<\/p>\n<p><strong>aNdam<\/strong> \u2013 the universe made up of all these<\/p>\n<p><strong>thirumAL agaippu<\/strong> \u2013 these are controlled by the thoughts rising in <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s divine mind.
