Has he not mercifully mentioned in <a href=\"http:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/9-26\/\">SrI bhagavath gIthA 9.26<\/a> \u201c<em>pathram palam pushpam thOyam yO mE bhakthyA prayachchathi<\/em> I <em>thadhaham bhakthyupahrutham aSnAmi prayathAthmana:<\/em>\u00a0 II\u201d (I take with full happiness with whatever leaf or flower or fruit or water has been offered to me by one with devotion) and hasn\u2019t <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> too mercifully mentioned in his <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/08\/thiruvaimozhi-1-6-1-parivathil-isanai\/\">thiruvAimozhi 1.6.1<\/a> \u201c<em>purivadhum pugai pUvE<\/em>\u201d (whatever fragrance or flower is offered to <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>&#8230;)!<\/p>\n<p>AzhwAr next describes the distinguished feature of emperumAn for our bowing our head to him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>sUzhththa thuzhAy mannu<\/strong> \u2013 donning thuLasi garland in itself is a distinguished feature for his being the supreme entity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>sUzhththa thuzhAy mannu<\/strong> \u2013 decorated with the coiled thuLasi garland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>thuzhAy mannu nINmudi<\/strong> \u2013 isn\u2019t he the entity who has \u201c<em>thOLiNai mElum nanmArbin mElum sudar mudi mElum thALiNai mElum punaindha thaNNandhuzhAyudai ammAn\u00a0 <\/em>\u201d (the lord who is decorated with cool thuLasi garland on his divine shoulders, on the great chest, on the radiant lock and on his divine feet)! Didn\u2019t <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/kuraththazhwan\/\">kUraththAzhwAn<\/a> (a primary disciple of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/emperumanar\/\">bhagavath SrI rAmAnuja<\/a>) also mercifully say in athimAnusha sthavam \u201c<em>AdhirAjyamadhikam bhuvanAnAm Isa! thE piSunayan kila mauli:<\/em>\u201d (Oh Lord! That you are the controller of all the worlds is indicated by your divine crown)!<\/p>\n<p><strong>en thollai mAl thannai<\/strong> \u2013 we can construe this as one who has showered his affection on me from time immemorial. <em>mAl<\/em> \u2013 an affectionate person.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vazhA<\/strong> \u2013 unchanged.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vaN kai kUppi<\/strong> \u2013 joining the magnanimous hands together. <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/thirumazhisai-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> quotes the adjective (<em>vaN<\/em>) based on <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s recitation in <a href=\"http:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/7-18\/\">SrI bhagavath gIthA 7.18<\/a> \u201c<em>udhArAs sarva EvaithE<\/em>\u201d (those who worship me are magnanimous persons). It can also be taken as AzhwAr celebrating since those who bow down to emperumAn in samsAram (materialistic realm) are indeed rare.<\/p>\n<p><strong>thollai mAL thannai madhiththu vaNangumingaL<\/strong> \u2013 worship the supreme being with the heart which thinks of him. Since <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/periyavachchan-pillai\/\">periyavAchchAN piLLai<\/a> has said in his vyAkyAnam for this pAsuram \u201cthinking, without a break, of the divine names of supreme being \u201d it could be construed that the words in the text could also be <em>thollai mAl nAmam<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>magudam thAzhththi vaNangumingaL<\/strong> \u2013 since you are thinking in vain that you are someone great, get rid of that vanity and worship <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> with bowed head.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vAzhththuga vAy&#8230;..vaNangumingaL<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/thirumazhisai-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> is recalling the verse of rishis who said \u201c<em>vichithrA dhEhasampaththirISvarAya nivEdhithum <\/em>I<em> pUrvamEva kruthA brahmaN hasthapAdhAdhi samyuthA <\/em>II\u201d (Oh brahmaNa!
