He enjoys the half-asleep condition of emperumAn after he had destroyed the demons hiraNya kashyap, madhu and kaitabha.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>Angu malarum kuviyum mAl undhi vAy<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Ongu kamalaththin oNpOdhu Angaith<\/em><br \/>\n<em> thigirisudar enRum veNsangam vAnil<\/em><br \/>\n<em> pagarumadhi enRum pArththu<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>mAl \u2013 thirumAl\u2019s (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s)<br \/>\nundhivAy \u2013 in the divine navel<br \/>\nOngu \u2013 rising tall<br \/>\noN kamalaththin pOdhu &#8211; \u00a0beautiful lotus flower<br \/>\nkai \u2013 in emperumAn\u2019s right hand<br \/>\nAm \u2013 being present<br \/>\nthigiri\u00a0 \u2013 divine disc<br \/>\nsudar enRum \u2013 thinking it to be sun<br \/>\n(kai Am) \u2013 in his left hand<br \/>\nveN sangam \u2013 white divine conch<br \/>\nvAnil pagarum madhi enRum \u2013 thinking it as moon which is emitting light in the sky<br \/>\npArththu \u2013 thinking this way<br \/>\nAngu \u2013 simultaneously<br \/>\nmalarum kuviyum \u2013 it [the lotus] will blossom and shrivel<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyanam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Angu malarum kuviyum Al<\/strong> \u2013 in the same position, lotus flower will blossom as well as shrivel<\/p>\n<p><strong>Angu<\/strong> \u2013 at that time. \u00a0In other words, simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p><strong>undhivAy Ongu kamalaththin oN pOdhu<\/strong> \u2013 the beautiful lotus flower which is rising tall from <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s divine navel<\/p>\n<p><strong>Angaith thigiri sudar enRum<\/strong> \u2013 it [lotus flower] will think that the divine disc on his right hand is sun<\/p>\n<p><strong>veN sangam vAnil pagarum madhi enRum<\/strong> \u2013 looking at the white divine conch <em>pAnchajanyam<\/em> which is on the other divine hand, it will think that it is the moon which is travelling in the sky<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ongu kamalaththin oN pOdhu Angu malarum kuviyum Al<\/strong> \u2013 it carries out the activity simultaneously which sun and moon carry out in two different states. Since sun and moon are seen at the same time, the lotus will carry out the activities simultaneously. In other words, it will blossom after looking at the divine disc, thinking it to be sun. It will shrivel, after looking at the divine conch, thinking it to be moon. Divine disc will not let the lotus to shrivel and divine conch will not let the lotus to blossom. They will make it to remain in a neutral way.
