One can engage in enjoying the benefit of experiencing emperumAn\u2019s beauty but it is not possible to describe that beauty.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>niRam veLidhu seydhu pasidhu karidhenRu<\/em><br \/>\n<em> iRai uruvam yAm aRiyOm eNNil niRaivudaiya<\/em><br \/>\n<em> nAmangai thAnum nalam puriya vallaLE<\/em><br \/>\n<em> pUmangai kELvan polivu<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>iRai \u2013 sarvESvaran\u2019s (supreme being\u2019s)<br \/>\nuruvam \u2013 the divine auspicious form<br \/>\nniRam \u2013 by colour<br \/>\nveLidhu \u2013 will it be white? (Or)<br \/>\nseydhu \u2013 will it be red? (Or)<br \/>\npasidhu \u2013 will it be green? (Or)<br \/>\nkaridhu \u2013 will it be black?<br \/>\nenRu \u2013 of what colour will it be<br \/>\neNNil \u2013 if we analyse<br \/>\nyAm aRiyOm \u2013 we will not know<\/p>\n<p>(let this remain)<br \/>\nniRaivu udaiya \u2013 one who is complete in knowledge and power<br \/>\nnAmangai thAnum \u2013 sarasvathi dhEvi too<br \/>\npU mangai kELvan \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>, the consort of SrI mahAlakshmi who dwells on a lotus flower, his<br \/>\npolivu \u2013 the completeness<br \/>\nnalam pugazha vallaLE \u2013 does she have the power to praise? (No, she does not)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyanam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>niRam veLidhu seydhu pasidhu karidhu enRu iRai uruvam yAm aRiyOm eNNil<\/strong> \u2013 if we try to analyse whether <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s complexion is whitish or reddish or greenish or blackish, we cannot know that, even a little bit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>yAm aRiyOm eNNil<\/strong> \u2013 we can only speak with devotion but cannot think with our mind. It is only this much. That we cannot think of, is not due to any shortage of our knowledge but because of his greatness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>niRaivudaiya nAmangai thAnum<\/strong> \u2013 even sarasvathi, who is apt to be attained by people of the world who try to speak about <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> and one who has the greatness herself to speak about emperumAn; sarasvathi dhEvi who has the quality to speak without any confusion and one who can speak in an unbiased way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>nalam pugazha vallaLE<\/strong> \u2013 is she capable of speaking completely about the auspicious qualities of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>? Is she capable of speaking appropriate to emperumAn\u2019s greatness ?<\/p>\n<p>What is the reason for her being unable to praise emperumAn?<\/p>\n<p><strong>pUmangai kELvanpolivu<\/strong> \u2013 is it possible for sarasvathi to speak fully about the greatness of emperumAn who has as his servitor <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sri-mahalakshmi\/\"><em>thirumagaL<\/em> (SrI mahAlakshmi)<\/a> who in turn has sarasvathi as her servitor! Is it possible for some people to speak about <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s greatness? Is it possible to speak in a place where emperumAn and pirAtti (SrI mahAlakshmi) are together? Has it not been mentioned in SrI rAmAyaNam AraNya kANdam 37-18 \u201c<em>apramEyam hi thath thEja: yasya sA janakAthmajA<\/em>\u201d (is it possible to estimate the radiance of SrI rAma with whom sIthA, the daughter of janaka, is together)!
