When we say the he is not near us now, AzhwAr gives the names of divine abodes where he has taken residence. He mercifully states that emperumAn, who was simplicity personified for one person (yaSOdhA) at one point of time, is now simplicity personified for all people at all times by taking residence in many divine abodes.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>sErndha thirumAL kadal kudandhai vEngadam<\/em><br \/>\n<em> nErndha en sindhai niRai visumbum vAyndha<\/em><br \/>\n<em> maRai pAdagam ananthan vaN thuzhAykkaNNi<\/em><br \/>\n<em> iRai pAdiyAya ivai<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>kadal \u2013 thiruppARkadal (milky ocean)<br \/>\nkudandhai \u2013 thirukkudandhai (present day kumbakONam)<br \/>\nvEngadam \u2013 thiruvEngadam<br \/>\nnErndha en sindhai \u2013 my suitable heart<br \/>\nniRai visumbum \u2013 the completely fulfilled SrIvaikuNtam<br \/>\nvAyndha maRai \u2013 fitting vEdham (sacred text)<br \/>\npAdagam \u2013 thiruppAdagam (divine abode in present day kAnchIpuram)<br \/>\nananthan \u2013 AdhiSEshan<br \/>\nAya ivai \u2013 all these<br \/>\nvaN thuzhAyk kaNNi \u2013 one who is wearing the\u00a0 beautiful thuLasi garland<br \/>\nthirumAL sErndha \u2013 where SrIman nArAyaNa gives divine dharSan appropriately<br \/>\niRai pAdi \u2013 capitals (places where he has taken residence)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyanam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>sErndha thirumAL<\/strong> \u2013 the places where emperumAn who is SrIya: pathi (consort of SrI mahAlakshmi) has reached<\/p>\n<p><strong>kadal kudandhai vEngadam<\/strong> \u2013 thiruppARkadal, thirukkudandhai and thiruvEngadam<\/p>\n<p><strong>nErndha en sindhai<\/strong> \u2013 my heart which is not that great [as the divine abodes mentioned above]. Since AzhwAr says <strong>nErndha en sindhai<\/strong> the reason for taking residence in all these divine abodes is only to enter his heart.<\/p>\n<p><strong>niRai visumbu<\/strong> \u2013 SrIvaikuNtam which is a completely fulfilled divine abode. It is called as <em>thripAdhvibhUthi<\/em>\u00a0 (three times as expansive as leelA vibhUthi, the materialistic realm)<\/p>\n<p><strong>vAyndha maRai<\/strong> \u2013 the vEdhas (sacred texts) which describe him as he is.
