In the previous pAsuram had he not said \u201c<em>udaindhadhuvum AychchippAl maththukku<\/em>\u201d? Just as there is none to equal him in being afraid of yaSOdhA, he says that there is none to equal yaSOdhA in showering affection.\u00a0 In the previous pAsuram he had said \u201c<em>midaindhadhu bAradha vempOr<\/em>\u201d. Just as <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> transformed himself for the same of his followers, he says in this pAsuram yaSOdhA transformed herself for his sake. For a woman, being afraid of is a natural characteristic. For yaSOdhA, being without fear is transforming herself and it is this which she did, he says.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>pEychchipAluNda perumAnaip pErndheduththu<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Aychchi mulai koduththAL anjAdhE vAyththa<\/em><br \/>\n<em> iruLAr thirumEni in pavaLach chevvAy<\/em><br \/>\n<em> theruLA mozhiyAnaich chErndhu<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>pEychchi \u2013 pUthanA\u2019s<br \/>\npAl \u2013 bosom milk<br \/>\nuNda \u2013 one who drank<br \/>\nperumAnai \u2013 being the supreme being<br \/>\nvAyththa iruLAr thirumEni \u2013 having a divine form which is dark, and befitting him<br \/>\nin pavaLach chevvAy \u2013 having a reddish mouth similar to sweet coral<br \/>\ntheruLA mozhiyAnai \u2013 kaNNapirAn (krishNa) who was speaking gibberish<br \/>\nsErndhu \u2013 going near him<br \/>\nAychchi \u2013 yaSOdhA<br \/>\npErndhu eduththu \u2013 embracing\u00a0 him with affection<br \/>\nanjAdhE \u2013 without any fear<br \/>\nmulai koduththAL \u2013 fed him her bosom<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyanam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>pEychchi pAL uNda perumAnai<\/strong> \u2013 killing pUthanA after drinking milk from her poisoned bosom. Due to this, he protected himself and gave himself to the world. Has it not been mentioned in harivamsam \u201c<em>sthanyam thath vishasammiSram rasyamAsIth jagathgurO:<\/em>\u201d (her breast-milk which was poisoned, was very sweet for him)! There is none in the world to equal him when it comes to escaping death.<\/p>\n<p><strong>perumAnai<\/strong> \u2013 he re-established his quality of SEshi (being the Lord). When events such as pralayam (deluge) take place, we can remain unperturbed since he is there to take care of. Did not danger come to him (due to pUthanA)?<\/p>\n<p><strong>pErndheduththu Aychchi mulai koduththAL anjAdhE<\/strong> \u2013 wouldn\u2019t the mother become fearful once she comes to know that krishNa has been captured by pUthanA! But, leaving aside the quality of fear which is natural for women, yaSOdhA rushed to him and tried to give him antidote. Instead of swooning on hearing that krishNa has been taken away by pUthanA, yaSOdhA came walking to the place where krishNa was, lifted him up and started nursing him. Swooning is an act of affection only. However, shouldn\u2019t one take the initiatives to get back krishNa! Did not <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\">AzhwArs<\/a>, who were blessed with knowledge sans any ignorance, engage in the activity of <em>madalUrdhal<\/em> (an act in which the person sits on a horse made of palmyra leaves and requests the townspeople to unite him\/her with his\/her beloved) knowing full well their as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s nature! This (act of yaSOdhA) is similar to that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vAyththa iruLAr thirumEni<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/peyazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> describes the radiance in the divine form of krishNa as he sat on pUthanA\u2019s lap to drink her milk. Wasn\u2019t this beauty the reason for yaSOdhA to shun looking after herself and lift krishNa, falling head over heels!<\/p>\n<p><strong>in pavaLach chevvAy<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> has divine lips similar to coral. He smiled when he was suckling from pUthanA just as he smiled when suckling from yaSOdhA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vAyththa iruLAr thirumEni<\/strong> \u2013 he has a divine form which will remove fatigue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>theruLA mozhiyAn<\/strong> \u2013 when suckling from pUthanA, he will talk something gibberish.
