The reason for emperumAn taking residence in temples is only to enter the hearts of followers who accept him. Alternatively, we can say that AzhwAr is saying that the benefit that we obtained out of emperumAn eating yaSOdhAp pirAtti\u2019s butter is the simplicity of emperumAn, more than his simplicity in eating butter, by taking residence in divine abodes. Had he not asked \u201cIs there any harm in worshipping?\u201d. After AzhwAr saying this, will emperumAn keep quiet? (he took residence in AzhwAr\u2019s divine heart).<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>siRandha en sindhaiyum sengaN aravum<\/em><br \/>\n<em> niRaindha sIr nIL kachchiyuLLum uRaindhadhuvum<\/em><br \/>\n<em> vEngadamum vehkAvum vELukkaippAdiyumE<\/em><br \/>\n<em> thAm kadavAr thaN thuzhAiyAr<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>thaN thuzhAyAr thAm \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who is adorning the cool, thuLasi garland<br \/>\nkadavAr \u2013 not leaving for even one day<br \/>\nuRaindhadhuvum \u2013 the places where he took permanent residence<\/p>\n<p>(which are they?)<br \/>\nsiRandha en sindhaiyum \u2013 my heart which is the greatest (amongst all)<br \/>\nsem kaN aravum \u2013 thiruvananthAzhwAn (AdhiSEshan) who has reddish eyes<br \/>\nniRaindha sIr \u2013 having abundant wealth<br \/>\nnIL \u2013 expansive<br \/>\nkachchiyuLLum \u2013 the divine town of kachchi (present day kAnchIpuram)<br \/>\nvEngadamum \u2013 the divine abode of thirumalai<br \/>\nvehkAvum \u2013 the divine abode of thiruvhkA<br \/>\nvELukkaip pAdiyumE \u2013 the divine abode of thiruvELukkai<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyanam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>siRandha en sindhaiyum sengaN aravum<\/strong> \u2013 both these are equal as far as emperumAn\u2019s desire goes. In other words, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/peyazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> says that <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> considers AzhwAr\u2019s heart to be the exact match for thiruvananthAzhwAn (AdhiSEshan) who is his most desired mattress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>sengaN aravum<\/strong> \u2013 ananthAzhwAn\u2019s eyes are reddish, like the eyes of those who take intoxicating materials such as honey, because of his connection with emperumAn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>uRaindhadhuvum<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> has taken residence in AzhwAr\u2019s divine heart, considering it as his own,\u00a0 just as he has taken residence atop thiruvananthAzhwAn who is his most desired mattress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>niRaindha sIr nIL kachchiyuLLum<\/strong> \u2013 in divine kachchi which is full of divine abodes of emperumAn and unlimited sweetness. <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> will reside continuously at thirukkachchi, thirumalai, thiruvehkA and thiruvELukkai, without ever letting go of them. By considering the verse sequence to be <em>niRaindha sIr nIL kachchiyuLLum uRaindhadhuvum \u2013 vEngadamum vehkAvum vELukkaip pAdiyumE thAm kadavAr<\/em> we can say that emperumAn cannot let go of each of the divine abodes of vEngadam, vehkA and vELukkai and he will reside continuously in these divine abodes and that he resides with lot of desire in the great divine mind of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/peyazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>, thiruvananthAzhwAn and the town of thirukkachchi which has many divine abodes. Since the word <em>uRaindhadhuvum<\/em> (resides) has been used, we can consider it this way.
