Shouldn\u2019t AzhwAr<\/a>\u2019s heart be like this!<\/p>\n Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n virumbi viN maNNaLandha anjiRaiya vaNdAr<\/em> am siRaiya vaNdu \u2013 female beetles with beautiful wings (due to that) virumbi viN maN aLandha<\/strong> \u2013 AzhwAr<\/a> says that emperumAn<\/a> measured the skies and earth as if he had obtained something which was not his to start with. Since it is stated that he measured it wilfully, he did not measure the worlds which had forests and streams [uneven surfaces with ups and downs] because he had to, but because he wanted to.<\/p>\n anjiRaiya vaNdu<\/strong> \u2013 beetle with beautiful wings<\/p>\n Ar surumbu<\/strong> \u2013 beetle which is together with divine thuLasi. periyavAchchAn piLLai, one of he commentators for this prabandham, makes a distinction here \u2013 while vaNdu<\/em> would refer to beetle, since AzhwAr<\/a> has used the term surumbu<\/em> which means male beetle, the first term vaNdu<\/em> would refer to female beetle and the two are together always.<\/p>\n thuLaiyil senRu Udha<\/strong> \u2013 the beetles know where honey gets generated and hence they go to such nerve roots and blow with their mouths.<\/p>\n arumbum punam thuzhAy mAlaiyAn<\/strong> \u2013 due to such act [of the beetles] the thuLasi just blossoms.
