In this pAsuram, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/peyazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> says that one can see emperumAn only if he decides to show himself to his followers. Another interpretation \u2013 AzhwAr mercifully mentions about how he is enjoying the activities of emperumAn who is a very difficult entity to know.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>padivattath thAmarai paNdulagam nIr ERRu<\/em><br \/>\n<em> adivattaththAl aLappa nINda mudivattam<\/em><br \/>\n<em> AgayamUdaRuththu aNdam pOy nINdadhE<\/em><br \/>\n<em> mAgAyamAy ninRa mARku<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>paNdu \u2013 in an earlier time<br \/>\nulagam nIrERRu \u2013 obtaining earth as gift (from mahAbali)<br \/>\nthAmarai padi vattam \u2013 earth which is like a blossomed lotus, round in shape<br \/>\nadi vattaththAl aLappa \u2013 to measure with the divine feet which are like involuted lotus<br \/>\nmA kAyamAy ninRa mARku \u2013 for <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who stood with a huge form (as thrivikrama)<br \/>\nnINda mudivattam \u2013 the long crown<br \/>\nAgAyam UdaRuththu \u2013 piercing the sky (and the outer worlds)<br \/>\naNdam pOy nINdadhE \u2013 did they not grow until the walls of the universe! How amazing is this!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyanam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>padi vattath thAmarai<\/strong> \u2013 earth looks like the circular shaped, blossomed lotus. SrI vishNu purANam 2-12-37 says \u201c<em>padhmAkAra samudhbhUthA<\/em>\u201d (earth which came in the form of a lotus). <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/peyazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> mercifully describes his experience of seeing the divine activity of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>padi vattath thAmarai<\/strong> \u2013 the greatness which resulted from emperumAn keeping his divine feet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>paNdu ulagam nIr ERRu<\/strong> \u2013 once upon a time, obtaining the world which was in the form of circular lotus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>adi vattaththAl aLappa<\/strong> \u2013 when <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> measured the worlds\u00a0 with his divine feet which were like circular lotus<\/p>\n<p><strong>nINda mudivattam<\/strong> \u2013 the crown which had grown long. <em>mudivattam <\/em>refers to the radiance of his divine crown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AgAyam UdaRuththu<\/strong> \u2013 piercing the sky<\/p>\n<p><strong>aNdam pOy nINdadhE<\/strong> \u2013 it grew until it reached the walls of the universe. For whom did this grow?<\/p>\n<p><strong>mA kAyamAy ninRa mARku<\/strong> \u2013 for <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who had a great [huge] divine form, with a longing to manifest his affection for the world. His longing to grow was not limited to this. He wanted to grow even huger.
