Hence should we not try and attain some benefits and then enjoy him?\u201d. <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/peyazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> says \u201cWhen you enjoy emperumAn falling head over heels, all the benefits will come on their own\u201d. Is it enough if we speak only about the benefits that he has, do we not need to attain some? AzhwAr says, as we start reciting his divine names, all the wealth will come to us on their own in order to retain their true characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>thEsum thiRalum thiruvum uruvamum<\/em><br \/>\n<em> mAsil kudippiRappum maRRavaiyum pEsil<\/em><br \/>\n<em> valam purindha vAnsangam koNdAn pErOdha<\/em><br \/>\n<em> nalam purindhu senRadaiyum nangu<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>valam purindha vAn sangam koNdAn \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who is having the divine white coloured conch which is curling towards the right<br \/>\npEr Odha \u2013 as his divine names are recited<br \/>\npEsil \u2013 if (the advantages due to that are) spoken about<br \/>\nthEsum \u2013 radiance<br \/>\nthiRalum \u2013 the ability to win over others<br \/>\nthiruvum \u2013 wealth<br \/>\nuruvamum \u2013 beautiful form<br \/>\nmAsu il kudi piRappum \u2013 birth in a clan which is free from any faults<br \/>\nmaRRavaiyum \u2013 and other benefits<br \/>\nnalam purindhu nangu senRu adaiyum \u2013 will come on their own, with desire<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyanam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>thEsum<\/strong> \u2013 Lot of\u00a0 <em>thEjas<\/em>; in other words, esteem or true nature.<\/p>\n<p><strong>thiRalum<\/strong> \u2013 strength; ability to defeat others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>thiruvum<\/strong> \u2013 inseparable wealth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>uruvamum<\/strong> \u2013 beauty of the form<\/p>\n<p><strong>mAsil kudippiRappum<\/strong> \u2013 being born in a faultless clan \u2013 similar to the birth of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sri-mahalakshmi\/\">sIthAppirAtti<\/a> in janaka maharAja\u2019s great clan. Has it not been mentioned mercifully in periya thirumozhi 1-1-9 that reciting <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s divine name will lead to being born in a great clan \u201c<em>kulam tharum<\/em>\u201d! Just as it has been mentioned in SrIvishNu purANam 1-9-1 \u201c<em>sa: kuleena:<\/em>\u201d (the one who has been graced by pirAtti will be in a great clan) only that person who recites emperumAn\u2019s divine names will be considered to be in a great clan. Even if it is a person like guhan, who is a hunter or someone like vibhIshaNa, who is a demon, doesn\u2019t emperumAn consider such persons as part of ikshvAku clan!<\/p>\n<p><strong>maRRum<\/strong> \u2013 what has not been stated<\/p>\n<p><strong>pEsil<\/strong> \u2013 if what has not been spoken of so far were to be spoken. It is not possible to state the benefits of reciting the divine names. Still, if it were to be spoken of&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>valam purindha vAn sangam koNdAn pErOdha<\/strong> \u2013 reciting the divine names of the entity who is holding the white coloured SrI pAnchajanyam which is curved towards the right side.<\/p>\n<p><strong>nalam purindhu senRadaiyum nangu<\/strong> \u2013 it will come in some way or the\u00a0 other, even if it had to crawl. All that is required for him (chEthana, sentient entity) is to recite the divine names of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>. All these (benefits mentioned above) will come on their own. Just as he cannot sustain himself without reciting the divine names, these cannot sustain themselves without reaching him.
