He says that if one were to look at the way <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>, who controls all the worlds, blends freely with a lowly samsAri such as himself, this would also appear to be one of those great activities of emperumAn. It can also be said that <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/bhuthaththazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> is saying that just as world cannot exist without emperumAn, emperumAn also cannot exist without him.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>koNdu vaLarkkak kuzhaviyAyth thAn vaLarndhadhu<\/em><br \/>\n<em> uNdadhu ulagEzhum uLLodunga koNdu<\/em><br \/>\n<em> kudamAdik kOvalanAy mEvi ennenjam<\/em><br \/>\n<em> idamAgak koNda iRai<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanimg<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>kOvalanAy \u2013 being born as a cowherd<br \/>\nkudam koNdu Adi \u2013 dancing with pots on hand and head<\/p>\n<p>and, in the same position<br \/>\nen nenjam mEvi \u2013 getting into my heart<br \/>\nidamAgak koNda iRai \u2013 the lord, considering( my heart) as the temple for himself<br \/>\nkoNdu vaLarkka \u2013 enabling others to cuddle and nurture him<br \/>\nkuzhavi Ay \u2013 as an infant<br \/>\nthAn vaLarndhadhu \u2013 he grew up mercifully<\/p>\n<p>at that time<br \/>\nuL odunga \u2013 shrinking within (in a corner)<br \/>\nuNdadhu \u2013 ate as food<br \/>\nulagu Ezhum \u2013 the seven worlds! (How amazing!)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>kOvalanAy<\/strong> \u2013 the supreme being, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>, came in the clan of cowherds who do not know the difference between left hand and right hand [they are so ignorant].<\/p>\n<p><strong>mEvi<\/strong> \u2013 fitting well into that clan. When he was asked by the cowherds, after seeing his superhuman activities (including lifting the gOvardhana hill for seven days to protect them and their cattle), he said, as mentioned in SrI vishNu purANam 5-13-13 \u201c<em>nAham dhEvO na gandharvO na yakshO na rAkshasa:<\/em> I <em>aham vO bAdhavO jAtha: naichinthyamithO\u2019nyathA:<\/em> II\u201d (I am not a dhEva or gandharva or yaksha (all these three are different types of celestial beings) or rAkshasa (demonic clan). I was born as your relative; you should not think in any other way). He affirmed that he is one among the cowherds since he fitted so well in their clan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>kudam koNdu Adi<\/strong> \u2013 being born in the clan of cowherds, he danced their traditional dance with pots. Dancing with pots on their hands and heads is typical of cowherd people.<\/p>\n<p>The word <em>mEvi<\/em> could be taken together with <em>en nenjam <\/em>and meaning for this would be:<\/p>\n<p><strong>kudamAdi en nenjam mEvi<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/bhuthaththazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> says that even as krishNa came dancing in the street with pots, seeing the involvement of AzhwAr in his activity, he entered the heart of AzhwAr and carried on with the dance in his heart.<\/p>\n<p><strong>idamAgak koNda iRai<\/strong> \u2013 the supreme being entered the hard heart of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/bhuthaththazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> which will not easily melt for anything, made it melt by his dance and thus made AzhwAr\u2019s heart as his dwelling place. AzhwAr says that not only did <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> have the soft quality of taking AzhwAr\u2019s heart as his residence, but he also has the quality of <em>aghatithaghatanA sAmarthyam<\/em> (ability to perform impossible tasks) since he melted AzhwAr\u2019s heart which was stronger than stone, iron , diamond etc. In the same breath, AzhwAr mentions another <em>aghathithaghatanA<\/em> <em>sAmarthyam<\/em> of emperumAn &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>koNdu vaLarkkak kuzhaviyAyth thAn vaLarndhadhu<\/strong> \u2013 did he not recline on the tender banyan leaf as a child who would be caressed and nurtured by everyone! <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> was moved so much by his innocent form of an infant on the tender banyan leaf that he praised him in his <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/11\/thiruvaimozhi-4-2-1-balanay-ezhulagundu\/\">thiruvAimozhi 4-2-1<\/a> \u201d<em>bAlanAy EzhulaguNdu parivinRi Alilai anna vasam seyyum aNNalAr<\/em>\u201dand in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/10\/thiruvaimozhi-3-7-10-adiyarndha\/\">thiruvAimozhi 3-7-10<\/a> \u201c<em>adiyArndha vaiyamuNdu ALilai anna vasam padiyAdhumil kuzhavi<\/em>\u201d (he reclined on a tender banyan leaf as an innocent infant with none to care for him, after swallowing the worlds)<\/p>\n<p>What were the activities that he indulged in as an infant? &#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>uLLodunga uNdadhu ulagEzhum<\/strong> \u2013 what he ate as an infant, and which would occupy a small corner of his little stomach, were all the worlds! <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/bhuthaththazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> is amazed at this activity of the infant swallowing all the huge worlds, \u00a0making them rest in a corner of his stomach and lying on a tender banyan leaf. <em>Ezhulagam<\/em> is indicative of all the worlds in samsAram.<\/p>\n<p>We shall take up the 99<sup>th<\/sup> pAsuram next.<\/p>\n<p>adiyEn krishNa rAmAnuja dhAsan<\/p>\n<p>archived in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\">https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>pramEyam (goal) \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/koyil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/koyil.org<\/a><br \/>\npramANam (scriptures) \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\">http:\/\/granthams.koyil.org<\/a><br \/>\npramAthA (preceptors) \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\">http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org<\/a><br \/>\nSrIvaishNava education\/kids portal \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/pillai.koyil.org\/\">http:\/\/pillai.koyil.org<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SrI:\u00a0 SrImathE SatakOpAya nama:\u00a0 SrImathE rAmAnujAya nama:\u00a0 SrImath varavaramunayE nama: Full Series &lt;&lt; Previous avathArikai AzhwAr enjoys the activities of the one who blessed him with his grace.
