AzhwAr says that emperumAn will always protect his worlds and that he is very simple in his (AzhwAr\u2019s) matter.<\/p>\n<p>Let us look at the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>Oruruvan allai oLi uruvam nin uruvam<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Iruruvan enbar irunilaththOr Oruruvam<\/em><br \/>\n<em> AdhiyAm vaNNam aRindhAr avar kaNdIr<\/em><br \/>\n<em> nIdhiyAl maN kAppAr ninRu<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meaning<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Or uruvan allai \u2013 (Oh emperumAn!) you are not the one with unique divine form<br \/>\noLi uruvam \u2013 the radiant form (with which you are subservient to your followers)<br \/>\nnin uruvam \u2013 is your form<\/p>\n<p>(the form with which you are subservient to your followers)<br \/>\nirunilaththOr \u2013 those who are on this earth<br \/>\nIr uruvan enbar \u2013 say that you have a huge form (of being the supreme lord)<br \/>\nOr uruvam \u2013 the incomparable form (of being subservient to followers)<br \/>\nAdhi Am vaNNam \u2013 being the cause for the salvation of all<br \/>\naRindhAr avar kaNdIr \u2013 only those who know (this)<br \/>\nnIdhiyAl \u2013 in the fair way<br \/>\nninRu \u2013 standing firmly<br \/>\nmaN kAppAr \u2013 have the ability to protect this world<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Or uruvan allai<\/strong> \u2013 you are the one with the form which is independent. While kata upanishath 13 says \u201c<em>nithyO nithyAnAm <\/em>\u201d (supreme being has the quality of being permanent and being\u00a0 of the same manner) and chAndhOgya upanishath 6-2-1 says \u201c<em>EkamEva adhvithIyam<\/em>\u201d (there is only one; there is no second), your form is not the one which is different from everyone\/everything else and which controls everyone\/everything else.<\/p>\n<p><strong>oLi uruvan nin uruvam<\/strong> \u2013 it is existing only for the sake of your followers, which is your quality. Just as it is mentioned in jithanthE SlOkam 1-5 \u201c<em>na thE rUpam nachAkArO nAyudhAni na chAspadham, thathApi purushAkArO bhakthAnAm thvam prakASasE<\/em>\u201d (there is no quality, form, weapon or dwelling place exclusively for you; however, you are having all these qualities only for the sake of your followers) this is your true quality [of existing for your followers]. Your quality is not of the type mentioned in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/03\/thiruvaimozhi-1-1-1-uyarvara-uyarnalam\/\">thiruvAimozhi 1-1-1<\/a> \u201c<em>uyarvaRa uyarnalam udaiyavan<\/em>\u201d (one who has auspicious qualities superior to those of everyone else). Rather, it is as mentioned in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/06\/thiruvaimozhi-1-3-2-elivarum-iyalvinan\/\">thiruvAimozhi 1-3-2<\/a> \u201c<em>eLivarum iyalvinan<\/em>\u201d (having simplicity as his nature).<\/p>\n<p>You, who are like this &#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ir iruvan enbar irunilaththOr<\/strong> \u2013 those who think you have qualities beyond one\u2019s capabilities to measure, are the ignorant ones. They would think that <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>, the great supreme being, has only supreme qualities. An alternative meaning for <em>Or uruvan allai<\/em> is that he does not have the same type of form always. In other words, as mentioned in <a href=\"http:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/4-5\/\">SrI bhagavath gIthA 4-5<\/a> \u201c<em>bahUni mE vyathIthAni janmAni<\/em>\u201d (many births have passed for me) and in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/06\/thiruvaimozhi-2-9-5-sirappil-vidu\/\">thiruvAimozhi 2-9-5<\/a> \u201c<em>piRappil palpiRavip perumAL<\/em>\u201d (emperumAn who has had many births of his own volition, unlike we <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">chEthanas<\/a> who were born due to our deeds), he has had many incarnations and divine names. <em>oLi uruvam nin uruvam<\/em> \u2013 even when you were born like that [with many incarnations], your divine form was more and more of <em>Sudhdha sathvam<\/em> type (pure good state) and with unlimited radiance. Just as it is mentioned in yajur ashtakam 3-6 3-9 \u201c<em>sa u SrEyAn bhavathi jAyamAna:<\/em>\u201d (he becomes great just by being born), he has the quality as mentioned in these pramANams. <em>Ir uruvan enbar iru nilaththOr<\/em> \u2013 We can construe this as saying that the people of the world say that emperumAn has one divine form as his basic form and another which he takes on whenever he incarnates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Or uruvam<\/strong> \u2013 the divine form which is radiant, since he incarnates for the sake of his followers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AdhiyAm vaNNam aRindhAr avar kaNdIr<\/strong> \u2013 those who know that it [as mentioned in the previous verse] is the one which is the cause for all the worlds. In other worlds<\/p>\n<p><strong>AdhiyAm vaNNam aRindhAr<\/strong> \u2013 the vaishNavas who know that others\u2019 existence is only because of him (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>) who is like this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adhi<\/strong> \u2013 one who is responsible for the salvation of his followers<\/p>\n<p><strong>nIdhiyAl maN kAppAr ninRu<\/strong> \u2013 they are the ones who stand firmly and protect the world, as mentioned in perumAL thirumozhi 3-3 \u201c<em>thIdhil nanneRi kAtti engum thirindhu<\/em>\u201d (going to all the places, showing the correct path without any defect) and in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2017\/10\/irandam-thiruvandhadhi-14\/\">iraNdAm thiruvandhAdhi 14<\/a> \u201c<em>thIrththakararAmin thirindhu<\/em>\u201d (going to various places and purifying them). If <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> is termed as <em>svathanthran<\/em> (independent) the world will go astray and only if he is termed as <em>parathanthran<\/em> (dependent on his followers) will it remain in the correct way. Hence, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/bhuthaththazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> is correcting those people who say that he is difficult to attain.
