In this pAsuram, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/bhuthaththazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> mercifully says how the three faculties engaged with emperumAn to enjoy him. Was it only for enjoying him? AzhwAr says that apart from him, these three faculties would not go to any other place. Thus this pAsuram says that they exist only for him and none else.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>thuNindhadhu sindhai thuzhAy alangal angam<\/em><br \/>\n<em> aNindhavan pEr uLLaththup palgAl paNindhadhuvum<\/em><br \/>\n<em> vEypiRangu sAral viRal vEngadavanaiyE<\/em><br \/>\n<em> vAy thiRanaL sollum vagai<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meaning<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>sindhai \u2013 my mind<br \/>\nthuzhAy alangal (angam) aNindhavan pEr \u2013 the divine names of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who is donning the thuLasi garland on his divine form<br \/>\npalgAl \u2013 many times<br \/>\nuLLaththu &#8211;\u00a0 in thinking<br \/>\nthuNindhadhu \u2013 had firm, deep faith<br \/>\nangam \u2013 my body too<br \/>\npalgAl \u2013 always<br \/>\npaNindhadhu \u2013 worships<br \/>\nvEy piRangu sAral \u2013 having foothills with plenty of bamboo<br \/>\nviral vEngadavanaiyE \u2013 only emperumAn who is residing in thirumalai and is strong<br \/>\nvAy \u2013 mouth [speech] too<\/p>\n<p>(always)<br \/>\nthiRangaL \u2013 (emperumAn\u2019s) qualities<br \/>\nsollum vagai \u2013 in the way it says<br \/>\nthuNindhadhu \u2013 became confident<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>thuNindhadhu sindhai thuzhAy alangal angam aNindhavan pEr uLLaththu<\/strong> \u2013 my heart became firm in meditating on the divine names of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who is decorated with thuLasi garland. Here the word <em>uLLam<\/em> is used figuratively to refer to meditating. Alternatively, we can take the two terms <em>uLLaththu sindhai<\/em> together, which would mean the thoughts in the mind, and say that the thoughts in the mind were firmly engaged in meditating on the divine names of emperumAn who has donned thuLasi garland on his body.<\/p>\n<p><strong>thuzhAy alangal angam<\/strong> \u2013 this mentions the beauty of the entity which made the mind to become firm [in meditating on his divine names]<\/p>\n<p><strong>angam alangal<\/strong> \u2013 my body, always<\/p>\n<p><strong>paNindhadhuvum vEy piRangaL sAral vEngadavanaiyE<\/strong> \u2013 only thiruvEngadamudaiyAn, who resides in thirumalai which has bamboo in abundance on its foothills, and who engages us with his beauty to be fully involved with him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vAy thiRangaL sollum vagai thuNindhadhu<\/strong> \u2013 my mouth (faculty of speech) became confident in talking about his [auspicious] qualities.
