He says that his mind, speech and bodily faculties engaged with emperumAn.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>magizhndhadhu sindhai thirumAlE maRRum<\/em><br \/>\n<em> magizhndhadhu nin pAdhamE pORRi magizhndhadhu<\/em><br \/>\n<em> azhal Azhi sangam avai pAdiyAdum<\/em><br \/>\n<em> thozhil Agam sUzhndhu thuNindhu<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meaning<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>thirumAlE \u2013 Oh the consort of mahAlakshmi!<br \/>\nsindhai \u2013 my heart<br \/>\nsUzhndhu \u2013 engaged<br \/>\nthuNindhu \u2013 with firmness<br \/>\nmagizhndhadhu \u2013 became happy<br \/>\nmaRRum \u2013 my faculty of speech, after my heart<br \/>\nun pAdhamE pORRi \u2013 worshipping only your divine feet<br \/>\nmagizhndhadhu \u2013 became happy<br \/>\nAgam \u2013 my body<br \/>\nazhal \u2013 one that spits fire on enemies<br \/>\nAzhi \u2013 the divine chakkara (disc)<br \/>\nsangam \u2013 SrI pAnchajanyam (conch)<br \/>\navai \u2013 and other divine weapons<br \/>\npAdi Adum \u2013 singing and dancing<br \/>\nthozhil \u2013 in the activity<br \/>\nmagizhndhadhu \u2013 became happy<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>magizhndhadhu sindhai<\/strong> \u2013 the mind, which had never known what happiness is, became happy after meditating on <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/bhuthaththazhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> says that due to this, there is no need for him to go to <em>paramapadham<\/em> (SrIvaikuNtam) and become happy. He says that he will be happy, meditating on emperumAn, here itself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>thirumAlE<\/strong> \u2013 this is saying about the cause of happiness. Isn\u2019t it a matter of happiness when emerpumAn is with pirAtti (SrI mahAlakshmi)!<\/p>\n<p><strong>maRRum magizhndhadhu un pAdhamE pORRi<\/strong> \u2013 after my mind, my faculty of speech praised your divine feet and became happy. Here too, we can add the word <em>thirumAlE<\/em> and say that speech praised thirumAl (consort of SrI mahAlakshmi) and became happy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>magizhndhadhu azhal Azhi sangam avai pAdi Adum thozhil Agam sUzhndhu thuNindhu<\/strong> \u2013 the body engaged in the activity of singing and dancing about <em>chakrAyudham<\/em> (divine disc) which becomes angry and spits fire on enemies, and <em>pAnchajanyam<\/em> (divine conch) and became firmly happy. We can also construe the meaning for this as: the body which (worshipped) firmly became happy; the mind, which worshipped firmly, became happy; the speech, which worshipped firmly, became happy. Other parts of the body also became happy after worshipping firmly.
