This is not something similar to a non-existing entity beyond one\u2019s knowledge. He says that It is not possible to estimate emperumAn\u2019s quality. In that case, is it that no one can know about it and do we have to give it up? AzhwAr says that it is not like that. Those who get rid of their desires in worldly pursuits and worship him, recite his divine names, would get to see his divine feet. Those who involve themselves with emperumAn fully would be fortunate to see him. We can construe it as saying that instead of their own efforts, they will get to see him out of his mercy.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>aRindhaindhum uLLadakki Aymalar koNdu Arvam<\/em><br \/>\n<em> seRindha manaththarAych chevvE \u2013 aRindhu avan than<\/em><br \/>\n<em> pEr Odhi Eththum perum thavaththOr kANbarE<\/em><br \/>\n<em> kAr Odha vaNNan kazhal<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meaning<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>aRindhu \u2013 knowing well (the greatness of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> and the lowliness of worldly pursuits)<br \/>\naindhum \u2013 the five sensory perceptions<br \/>\nuL adakki \u2013 (preventing them from engaging in other pursuits and) engaging with bhagavath vishayam (matters relating to emperumAn) by anchoring firmly<br \/>\nAy malar koNdu \u2013 analysing and taking the appropriate flowers (apt for emperumAn)<br \/>\nArvan seRindha manaththaRAy \u2013 with the heart full of bhakthi (devotion)<br \/>\nsevvE aRindhu \u2013 knowing well (the relationship of Lord \u2013 servant between emperumAn and oneself)<br \/>\navan than pEr \u2013 the divine names of that emperumAn<br \/>\nOdhi \u2013 constantly reciting<br \/>\nEththum \u2013 worshipping<br \/>\nperum thavaththOr \u2013 the great, fortunate ones<br \/>\nkAr Odham vaNNan kazhal \u2013 the divine feet of that emperumAn who has the complexion of a dark sea<br \/>\nkANbar \u2013 will see and enjoy<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>aRindhu<\/strong> \u2013 Knowing the lowly matters and the great matters. In other words, knowing well the greatness of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> and the lowliness of worldly matters. Knowing well the lowliness of this physical form [one&#8217;s body].<\/p>\n<p><strong>aindhum uL adakki<\/strong> \u2013 ensuring they [one\u2019s thoughts] do not go towards lowly matters relating to Sabdham etc (the five sensory perceptions starting with sound). Pointing out to the five sensory perceptions such as Sabdham etc, the <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who is residing inside [one\u2019s heart]. Not letting the sensory perceptions to graze outside but controlling them and showing emperumAn who is inside. Making the sensory perceptions to be immersed in the beauty of emperumAn just like tying a raging bull inside the house and feeding it instead of letting it to go outside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ay malar koNdu<\/strong> \u2013 carrying the apt flowers for <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a>. Taking fresh flowers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arvam seRindha manaththarAy<\/strong> \u2013 being with affectionate mind, with involved mind.<\/p>\n<p><strong>sevvE aRindhu<\/strong> \u2013 knowing well the relationship that he is the Lord and we are the servitors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>avan pEr Odhi Eththum perum thavaththOr<\/strong> \u2013 the fortunate [or blessed] people who recite emperumAn\u2019s divine names and worship him.
