If we meditate on the deeds that emperumAn has carried out for our sake, the sins due to our deeds will disappear. AzhwAr says that all the sins that we had accrued due to our deeds carried out in our standing, sitting, lying and moving postures will disappear if we think of the benefits that he granted to us in his standing, sitting, lying and moving postures.<\/p>\n<p>Let us go through the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>vEngadamum viNNagarum vehkAvum ahkAdha<\/em><br \/>\n<em> pUngidangin nIL kOval ponnagarum nAngidaththum<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ninRan irundhAn kidandhAn nadandhAnE<\/em><br \/>\n<em> enRAl kedumAm idar<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>vEngadamum \u2013 thirumalai<br \/>\nviN nagarum \u2013 SrIvaikuNtam<br \/>\nvehkAvum \u2013 thiruvehkA dhivyadhEsam<br \/>\nahkAdha pUm kidangin \u2013 having moats with unchanging flowers [always fresh]<br \/>\nnIL kOval ponnagarum \u2013 sweet and beautiful thirukkOvalUr<br \/>\nnAngu idaththum \u2013 in these four dhivyadhEsams<br \/>\nninRAn irundhAn kidandhAn nadandhAnE enRAl \u2013 if we say that (emperumAn) stands, stays, reclines and walks<br \/>\nidar \u2013 the results of our deeds that we carryout standing,\u00a0 sitting, lying and walking<br \/>\nkedumAm \u2013 will be destroyed<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>vEngadam ninRAn enRAl kedumAm idar<\/strong> \u2013 our sins will disappear if we say that emperumAn stood at thiruvEngadam which removes sins<\/p>\n<p><strong>viNNagar irundhAn &#8230;<\/strong> \u2013 if we meditate on the fact that he is sitting in paramapadham, our sins will be destroyed<\/p>\n<p><strong>vehkA kidandhAn &#8230;<\/strong> \u2013 if we meditate that he is lying down in thiruvehkA dhivyadhEsam, our sins will be destroyed<\/p>\n<p><strong>nIL kOval ponnagar nadandhAn&#8230;<\/strong> \u2013 if we meditate that he is walking in the dhivyadhEsam thiruukOvalUr which is famous and delightful, our sins will disappear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ahkAdha pUngidangin nIL kOval ponnagarum<\/strong> \u2013 since this was the dhivyadhEsam where emperumAn jostled with <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/poigai-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a>(s), he is thinking back sweetly, of this dhivyadhESam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ahkAdha kidangu<\/strong> \u2013 the moats are very close to each other in a protective way in this dhivyadhESam where emperumAn and his followers [the first three AzhwArs] jostled for space.<\/p>\n<p><strong>pUm kidangu<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 beautiful moat. If one were engaged with the moats, the mind will not go towards even emperumAn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ahkAdha pUm kidangu<\/strong> \u2013 moats wherein the flowers are in full bloom, in clusters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>pUm kidangin nIL kOval ponnagar<\/strong> \u2013 if one were to shift the vision beyond the moats, the sweetness and beauty of this place will attract one\u2019s eyes and heart.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ponnagar<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/poigai-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> terms this dhivyadhESam as ponnagar (golden place) since emperumAn came on his own, jostling with the <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\">AzhwArs<\/a> for space and graced them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vEngadamum viNNagarum vehkAvum &#8230; kOval ponnagarum<\/strong> \u2013 even though these dhivyadhESams are far apart from one another, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/poigai-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> combines them since they are related to emperumAn and are enjoyable for AzhwAr.<\/p>\n<p><strong>nAngidaththum ninRAn irundhAn kidandhAn nadandhAnE enRAl<\/strong> \u2013 if one were to think that emperumAn toiled hard in these four places, standing,\u00a0 sitting, reclining and walking, in order to attain his followers, his sins will disappear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>enrAl kedum<\/strong> \u2013 one need not reside in these dhivyadhESams. Even if one were to meditate on emperumAn\u2019s dwelling in these places, that person\u2019s sins will get destroyed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>enRAl kedum<\/strong> \u2013 the meditation need not be carried out with the knowledge that it would be a path to attain emperumAn.
