With that, he started praising him. Just as emperumAn\u2019s thoughts were on stealing butter, AzhwAr\u2019s thoughts were focussed on emperumAn.<\/p>\n<p>Let us enjoy the pAsuram and its meanings:<\/p>\n<p><em>uraimERkoNdu en uLLam OvAdhu eppOdhum<\/em><br \/>\n<em> varai mEl maradhagamE pOla thirai mEl<\/em><br \/>\n<em> kidandhAnaik kIndAnaik kEzhalAy bhUmi<\/em><br \/>\n<em> idandhAnai Eththi ezhum<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Word by Word Meanings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>varai mEl \u2013 on top of a mountain<br \/>\nmaradhagamE pOla \u2013 embedded like an emerald<br \/>\nthirai mEl \u2013 on top of thiruppARkadal (milky ocean)<br \/>\nkidandhAnai \u2013 reclining<br \/>\nkEzhalAy \u2013 in the form of a wild boar<br \/>\nbhUmi \u2013 the world<br \/>\nkIndAnai \u2013 removing from the wall of universe<br \/>\nidandhAnai \u2013 taking it on his tusks<br \/>\nen uLLam \u2013 my heart<br \/>\nOvAdhu \u2013 continuously<br \/>\neppOdhum \u2013 at all times<br \/>\nurai mERkoNdu \u2013 involved in speaking<br \/>\nEththi \u2013 praising (his auspicious qualities)<br \/>\nezhum \u2013 will be uplifted<\/p>\n<h3><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>urai mEl koNdu<\/strong> \u2013 with words of significant meanings; i.e. on matters relating to words. Or, while speaking about something, carrying on with it. In other words, being fully engaged in it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>en uLLam OvAdhu eppOdhum<\/strong> \u2013 my heart is continuously worshipping him. Since the svarUpam (basic nature) of jIvAthmA is to be subservient to emperumAn, there will be a change in being subservient only if the svarUpam is destroyed. Since svarUpam cannot be destroyed, this also will not change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>varai mEl maradhagamE pOlath thiraimEl kidandhAnai<\/strong> \u2013 isn\u2019t he reclining on thiruppARkadal just as an emerald gem is embedded on a mountain!<\/p>\n<p><strong>kidandhAnaik kIndAnai<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 once his follower had any difficulty, he could not stay on his bed. Did he not immediately get up and tear apart the enemy!<\/p>\n<p><strong>kIndAnai<\/strong> \u2013 we can also consider that he tore apart hiraNyakashyap (father of his follower prahlAdha)<\/p>\n<p><strong>kEzhalAyk kIndAnai bhUmi idandhAnai<\/strong> \u2013 the two verses can be combined and meaning derived.
