In this way, it is not just till <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>, but till those who consider him as everything, is the destiny, is your state \u00a0\u2013 how did you get the taste for this? <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> replies \u2013 even that is due to the mere grace of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Introduction (given by <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/04\/08\/pillai-lokam-jiyar\/\"><strong>piLLailOkam jIyar<\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the previous pAsuram \u2013 as <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> said \u2018<em>nam iRaivar \u2013 irAmAnusan thannai uRRavarE\u2019, <\/em>like (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>) said \u2018<em><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/12\/sthothra-rathnam-5\/\">sarvam yadhEva niyamEna madhanvayAnAm<\/a>\u2019<\/em> (everything is <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhvAr<\/a> for me), one who is dependent on <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> as \u2018<em><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/01\/kanninun-chiru-thambu-2-navinal\/\">thEvu maRRu aRiyEn<\/a>\u2019<\/em>, is the strongest accompaniment for me\u2019, he is asked \u2018in this way, not just till <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>, but to those who are like shadow and lines of feet (foot steps) of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> are the destiny for you \u2013 how did this come to occur?\u2019,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> replies, there are those who are subservient to him seeing and hearing his glory which is \u2018<em>dhikkuRRa keerththi\u2019<\/em> (glory spread in all directions), but there are none who are subservient to the disciples who consider him as everything, was the thought of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>, and so in the beginning itself he made me subservient to such disciples associated with him \u2013 so I got this taste (of subservience to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s disciples) due to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s grace.<\/p>\n<p><em>thannai uRRu Atcheyyum thanmaiyinOr mannu thAmaraith thAL<\/em><br \/>\n<em>thannai uRRu Atcheyya ennai uRRAn inRu \u2013 than thagavAl<\/em><br \/>\n<em>thannai uRRAr anRith thanmai uRRAr illai enRu aRindhu <\/em><br \/>\n<em>thannai uRRArai irAmAnusan guNam sARRidumE\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>))),<\/p>\n<p>and because the mute who is a son of a devotee fully revealed <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s glory and disappeared,<\/p>\n<p>and also since it said that when yAdhavaprakAsan with vengeance towards him was taking to <em>maNikarNikai<\/em>, as gOvindap perumAL informed him about this while travelling in the big forest, he was being alone, and at that time,\u00a0 perumAL himself came and helped during the journey and in one night got him to reach <em>kachchi <\/em>(kAncheepuram) which is \u2018<em>oLi mAdangaL sUzhndhu azhagAya<\/em> [periya thirumozhi \u2013 2.9.4]\u2019 (~kAncheepuram having bright buildings surrounding the town),<\/p>\n<p>and since it is said that through <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/thirukkachi-nambi\/\">thirukkachchi nambi<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">pEraruLALar<\/a> announced all the meanings of <em>thathvam,<\/em><\/p>\n<p>and since he went to many places for winning, and in thousand ways\/heads debated with scholars of <em>Saivam<\/em>, <em>mAyAvAdham, jaina, baudhdha, <\/em>etc., and defeated them,<\/p>\n<p>and since he administered <em>vEnkatAchalam<\/em> (thirumalai\/thiruppathi) and <em>yAdhavAchalam <\/em>(mElkOte\/thirunArAyaNapuram)<em>,<\/em><\/p>\n<p>all the people of the world saw and heard these glories, and joyfully, as said in \u2018<em>avaSA:pradhibEdhirE\u2019<\/em> (~automatically fell on his feet), and are staunch in considering him as the means and destiny;<\/p>\n<p>there are only such noble ones, and not \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>thannai uRRAr \u00a0guNam sARRidum thanmai uRRAr illai enRu aRindhu \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>(seeing that there are none who are of the nature of praising the qualities of those who are surrendered to him)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u2013 <em>thannai uRRAr <\/em><\/strong><em>\u2013 <\/em>those who have understood clearly about his nature, ways according to that nature, form, qualities, and glories (or, being subservient to him only is their nature, ways according to that nature, form, qualities, etc);<\/p>\n<p>Or,<\/p>\n<p>those who have understood clearly as is about how <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> is having more grace\/love towards those who are associated to those who are associated to him;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> wishing <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> to get the grace of those associated to him, is because <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> is apt to understand that nature of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> (that he loves more those who are associated to those who are associated to him, and the love flows towards those associated to those associated to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Nature of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> is such that his grace would flow more towards those who are associated to those who are associated to him, than those who are associated to him;<\/p>\n<p>That is why, jeeyar also prayed as \u2018<em>thvath dhAsa dhAsa gaNanA charamAva dhau ya: thath dhAsa dhAsaika rasathA avirathA mamAsthu <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/08\/yathiraja-vimsathi-16\/\">yathirAja vimSathi \u2013 16<\/a>]<em>\u2019 <\/em>(~ wish to be always interested in serving the last of series of hierarchy of servants of your devotees)<strong>;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(there is no one who would praise the qualities) of those who comprehended this nature of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> and surrendered to him;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8211; guNam sArridum thanmai uRRAr<\/em> <\/strong>\u2013 As said in \u2018<em>emmai <\/em>(<em>ninRu<\/em>)<em> ALum paramarE <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/09\/thiruvaimozhi-3-7-1-payilum-sudaroli\/\">thiruvAimozhi \u2013 3.7.1<\/a>]\u2019 (~(those devotees are) the ones who rule me),<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>nammai aLikkum pirAkkaLE <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/10\/thiruvaimozhi-3-7-5-peru-makkal\/\">thiruvAimozhi \u2013 3.7.5<\/a>]\u2019,<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>tham adiyAr adiyAr thamakku adiyAr adiyAr tham adiyAr adiyOngaLE<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/10\/thiruvaimozhi-3-7-10-adiyarndha\/\">thiruvAimozhi \u2013 3.7.10<\/a>]\u2019,<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>siRu mA manisarAy ennai ANdAr ingE thiriyavE<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> \u2013 8.10.3]\u2019 (though small in their divine body, being tall in their intellect, they engaged me in their service),<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>thoNdar sEvadich chezhum chERu en chennikku aNivanE<\/em> [perumAL thirumozhi \u2013 2.3]\u2019 (~I would wear in my head the beautiful mud of His devotees),<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>kadal mallaith thala sayanam Ar eNNu nenju udaiyAr avar emmai AlvArE<\/em> [periya thirumozhi &#8211; 2.6.2]\u2019 (~whoever is having the heart fixed in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> of kadal mallaith thala sayanam, would be my rulers),<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>thaN sERai emperumAn thAL thozhuvAr kANmin en thalai mElArE<\/em> [periya thirumozhi \u2013 7.4.1]\u2019 (~I would keep on my head (the divine feet of) those who worship the divine feet of beautiful emperumAn at thiruchchErai),<\/p>\n<p>so sang the <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\">AzhvArs<\/a> who were <em>prathama parva nishatar<\/em> (devoted to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a>), about the qualities of devotees \u2013 considering this, those who are of the nature of praising such qualities of devotees (of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>);<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>thanmai <\/em><\/strong><em>\u2013 <\/em>nature; <em>sARRu \u2013<\/em> saying it to publicize;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8211; iLLai enRu aRindhu \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>As said in \u2018<em>thathrApi dhurlabam manyE vaikuNtapriya dharSanam<\/em> [SrI bhAgavatham 11.2.29]\u2019 ((It is very rare to acquire a human body which in itself is temporary). Even rarer is to be blessed by the vision of one who is dear to SrIvaikuNtanAthan),<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018idhu thAn dhurlabham<\/em>, <em>vishaya pravaNanukku aththai vittu, bhagavath vishayaththilE varugaikkuLLa arumai pOl anRu, prathama parvaththai vittu charama parvaththilE varugaikkuLLa arumai <\/em>[SrI vachana bhUshaNam \u2013 417, 418]\u2019 (~ It is hard to find (devotees of devotees); leaving the attachment towards material realm and becoming to be devoted to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> is easier, compared to leaving aside devotion towards <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> and becoming devoted to his devotees),\u00a0 (so it is even harder to elevate someone from love towards AchAryan to love towards AchAryan\u2019s disciples);<\/p>\n<p>understanding that this devotion towards his disciples is \u2018<em>mEttu madai\u2019<\/em> (water would not flow automatically to a higher plane, so there won\u2019t be water (acceptance) there in a natural manner);\u00a0 that is, having the thought that there is no one (to praise the qualities of emperumAnAr&#8217;s devotees);<\/p>\n<p>You see, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> is of the opinion that this deeper matter (of being devoted to his devotees) is known only to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>irAmAnusan \u2013 <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>;<\/p>\n<p>You see, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> is propagating the meaning now which he could not do in his previous incarnation (as he was devoted to Him that is chakravarthi thirumagan only, and not to His devotees (unlike Sathrugnan who was devoted to His devotee, that is bharathan));<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>than thagavAl \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>As said in \u2018<em>savithree mukthAnAm, sakala jagadhEna: praSamaneekaree, yObhistheerthairupachitha rasAyAmuna mukhai: &#8211; niruSchEdhA nimna itharamabhi samaplAvayathimAm yadhruchchA vikShEpAth yathipathi dhayA dhivya thatinee<\/em> [yathirAja sapthathi]<em>\u2019 <\/em>( (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/vedhanthacharyar\/\">vEdhAnthAchAryar<\/a> writes this in his style of one word giving two meanings) river ganges which implies kindness\/words of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> \u2013 (they both) form beautiful pearls (muththu) \/mukthas (liberated), sins of all the people would be removed (by both), those like yamuna rivers (yAmuna muni) come join this and increase the flow of water (theertham \/ also means AchAryas), (flow\/kindness) would never dry up, would splash to the higher plane (higher plane means those who do not show interest) and make it wet (make such people amicable);<\/p>\n<p>by his utmost grace that is overflowing like uncontrollable river cauvEry (though the aforementioned SlOkam is about river ganges, here commentator talks about cauvEry due to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> and disciples living in SrIrangam and mainly know that only);<\/p>\n<p>this grace (of AdhiSeshan) was immersed inside him due to the beauty of SrI rAma, and so he could not publicise it then.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>thannai uRRu AL cheyyum thanmaiyinOr \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>As said in \u2018<em>vAchA yatheendhra manasa vapushA cha yushmath pAdhAravindha yugaLam bhajathAm <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/08\/yathiraja-vimsathi-3\/\">yathirAja vimSathi &#8211; 3<\/a>]<em>\u2019<\/em><em><br \/>\n<\/em>(the gurus who meditate upon your divine feet with their words, mind, and body) and,<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>nithyam yatheendhra thava dhivya vapussmruthaumE saktham manO bhavathu vAk guNa keerthanEsau \u2013 kruthyancha dhAsya karaNanthu karadhvayasya vruthyantharEsthu vimukham karaNathrayancha <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/08\/yathiraja-vimsathi-4\/\">yathirAja vimSathi \u2013 4<\/a>]\u2019 (~Oh emperor of saints! May my mind be blessed to meditate upon your beautiful divine body. May my speech be always engaged in talking about your auspicious qualities. May the two hands of mine be always engaged in serving you as your servant. Kindly grace me to worship your divine feet every day),<\/p>\n<p>they surrender to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> and do not know any other worldly matters, and are having the nature of wishing to serve him with all three faculties (mind, speech, and body);<\/p>\n<p><em>thanmaiyinOr \u2013 <\/em>having (such) nature;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/rama-sitha-lakshmana.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14633\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/rama-sitha-lakshmana.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/rama-sitha-lakshmana.jpg 500w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/rama-sitha-lakshmana-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>mannu thAmaraith thAL thannai uRRu AL cheyya ennai uRRAn inRu \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>As said in \u2018<em>thruNeekrutha virinchAdhi nirankuSa vibhUthaya: | rAmAnuja padhAmbhOja samASrayaNasAlina:\u2019 <\/em>\u00a0(~ for those who have gotten to the divine feet of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>, \u00a0even the sathyalOkam that is the abode of brahma is like a grass\/straw (insignificant)),<\/p>\n<p>and,<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>rAmAnujArya charaNa dhvandhva kainkarya vruththaya: &#8211;\u00a0 sarvAvasthAsu sarvAsu dhArakA: bhOshakASchamE<\/em>\u2019 (if they get the divine feet of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>, then at all times, places, etc., it would be life life supporting, life sustaining, and enjoyment for them),<\/p>\n<p>in this way those (disciples) who are to be praised in all the ways,<\/p>\n<p>as <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">AzhvAr<\/a> was staunch and said \u2018<em>uNNum sORu parugunIr thinnum veRRilai ellAm kaNNan <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 6.7.1]\u2019 (kaNNan who is food (which gives nutrition), water (which sustains) and betel leaves (which give enjoyment)),<\/p>\n<p>they are staunch in the view that <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> is the life saving, sustaining, and enjoyment;<\/p>\n<p>being like beautiful lotus flower, as \u2018<em>gambheerAmbas samuthbhUtham\u2019<\/em>, being very delicate, and equal to each other, and always being completely enjoyable \u2013 such divine feet of (the devotees of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>);<\/p>\n<p>as said in \u2018<em>thath dhAsa dhAsaika rasathA avirathA mamAsthu <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/08\/yathiraja-vimsathi-16\/\">yathirAja vimSathi \u2013 16<\/a>]<em>\u2019 <\/em>(~ wish to be always interested in serving the last of series of hierarchy of servants of your devotees), having the mind of doing \u2018<em>vazhuvilA adimai<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/08\/thiruvaimozhi-3-3-1-ozhivil-kalam\/\">thiruvAimozhi \u2013 3.3.1<\/a>]\u2019 (~service without any break), and having the devotion like Him as He said in \u2018<em>mama math bhaktha bhakthEshu preethirabyadhikObhavEth<\/em><em> \u2013 thasmAth mathbhaktha bhakthAScha pUjaneeyA viSEshatha:<\/em><em>\u2019<\/em> (My love is more towards devotees of my devotees. So, my devotees and their devotees are to be worshiped like I am worshiped), (here <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> is having similar love towards the devotees of devotees of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>they surrendered to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> and are \u2018<em>maRRoru pERu madhiyAdhu<\/em>\u2019 (~not giving significance to any other benefit);<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> reformed me today\/now, and accepted me, such that I do services to his devotees as per the wish;<\/p>\n<p><em>mannu \u2013 <\/em>fittingly;<\/p>\n<p>This acceptance was not something present earlier \u2013 <em>inRu uRRAn \u2013 <\/em>he accepted me today\/now.<\/p>\n<p>That is, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> is saying, as said in \u2018<em>adhyamE sapalam janma: suprabAthAchamEnichA\u2019<\/em> (akrUrar saying that today only there is a dawn as he is going to see kaNNan), the never-breaking hard hell got removed, and today it started to the path of <em>nal veedu <\/em>(SrIvaikuNtam).<\/p>\n<p><strong>From AzhwAr thirunagari SrI u.vE. vidhwAn thirumalai nallAn chakravarththi rAmakrishNa iyengAr\u2019s \u2018<\/strong><em><strong>amudha virundhu<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u2019 :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For a very long time <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> had an unfullfilled wish, that \u2013 all are surrendering to me only and are not surrendering to those surrendered to me and not praising their qualities for the world to know. He got that wish fullfilled today as he made me be surrendered to the divine feet of those who are surrendered to him \u2013 says <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>and this was not by force \u2013 it is by showing me how enjoyable those divine feet are \u2013 he uses the phrase \u2018<strong><em>mannu thAmaraith thAL<\/em><\/strong><em>\u2019,<\/em> to highlight this.<\/p>\n<p>As he is \u2018<em><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a>\u2019 <\/em>who can author poems, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> got him to surrender to the divine feet of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/kurathazhwan\/\">kUraththAzhvAn<\/a> his disciple, to sing praises about him; but since <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/kurathazhwan\/\">kUraththAzhvAn<\/a> did not agree to it, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> as he praised <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> in this prabandham, had to be satisfied with mentioning about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/kurathazhwan\/\">kUraththAzhvAn<\/a> in some pAsurams here and there; this is similar to how <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> wrote about his AchAryan\u2019s AchAryan ALavandhAr, in \u2018<em>yath padhAmboruhadhyAna\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Now, if we consider <strong><em>\u2018sARRidumE\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, as verb-related (finite verb \/ action based), that is, \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> <em>would say\/celebrate<\/em>\u2019 then we can make a meaning for first two sentences fully, and for second two sentences fully, without having to move around the phrases. May be maNavALa mAmunigaL did not wish to consider the word \u2018<em>thanmai\u2019<\/em> to give meaning of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s nature; but since it is not considered unwanted to think of a different explanation, as said in \u2018<em>nirvAhasya nirvAhAntharA dhUshakathvam\u2019 <\/em>(~one explanation does not condemn a different explanation), I pray that the noble ones to consider this different explanation not as condemning other explanations. So:\u00a0 \u00a0For the word \u2018<em>thanmai\u2019<\/em> in the third line, if we consider the meaning as <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">AthmA<\/a>&#8216;s true nature of being devoted to devotees;<\/p>\n<p>so, while there are those who are devoted to him, there are not any who are devoted to my devotees \u2013 thinking so, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>, to make me be subservient to his devotees, he (himself) would praise his disciples \u2013 would be the meaning of last two lines.<\/p>\n<p>Is it correct to say <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> would praise his own disciples? One reason he would do that is to highlight the glroy of his disciples to the new entrants so that they understand his disciples\u2019 glory and surrender to them;<\/p>\n<p>another reason would be, as the new entrants become devoted to the devotees,\u00a0 he would become very happy and so would celebrate his devotees about that;<\/p>\n<p>Like how when the parrot that she took care of would say apt names of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> (by understanding the state of its owner) parakAla nAyaki to keep her surviving, she would celebrate her parrot saying, \u2018<em>vaLarththadhanAl payan peRREn varuga<\/em> [thirunedunthANdakam \u2013 14]\u2019 (~Oh!
