He realizes it is due to the lack of awareness about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s glories and reveals that he will speak about the glories so everyone becomes aware of it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/12\/15\/azhagiya-manavala-perumal-nayanar\/\">azhagiya maNavALa perumaL nAyanAr<\/a>&#8216;s introduction<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the <a title=\"kaNNinuN chiRu thAmbu 4 \u2013 nanmaiyAl\" href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/?p=1322\">4th pAsuram<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\">madhurakavi AzhwAr<\/a> explained that though great sages rejected him, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> blessed him with his grace as a mother\/father. In the <a title=\"kaNNinuN chiRu thAmbu 5 \u2013 nambinEn\" href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/?p=1331\">5th pAsuram<\/a>, he reveals his defects. In the <a title=\"kaNNinuN chiRu thAmbu 6 \u2013 inRu thottum\" href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/?p=1333\">previous pAsuram<\/a>, he says that <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> will never give up on him going forward and has blessed that he will sing <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s glories forever.<\/li>\n<li>In this pAsuram, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\">madhurakavi AzhwAr<\/a> says that <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> also mercifully removed all the hurdles (sins) in him which have been there since time immemorial. Thus, he says, he will spread <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s glories everywhere. <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\">madhurakavi AzhwAr<\/a> practically demonstrates the injunction in sAsthram &#8220;<em>gurum prakAsayEnnithyam<\/em>&#8221; (always spread the glories of guru\/AchArya).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> had full understanding in <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>&#8216;s supremacy, dhEvathAntharams not having any supremacy, bhAgavatha sEshathvam (being devoted to devotees of <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>), having no attachment in worldly desires, etc. Yet, he looked at the sufferings of samsAris (worldly people) and out of great mercy towards them, he instructed them about the true knowledge starting from thiruvAimozhi 1.2 &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/05\/thiruvaimozhi-1-2-1-vidumin-murravum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>vIdu min muRRavum<\/em><\/a>&#8221; upto <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi <\/a>10.5 &#8220;<em>kaNNan kazhaliNai<\/em>&#8221; padhigams. Even though <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> is filled with unsurpassed mercy, since he is supremely independent, he may punish the ones who approach him seeing their defects. But <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr <\/a>will never do that. He drove away my eternal sins that have been following me since time immemorial. I will speak the glories of the mercy of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> who is the abode (source) of beautiful thamizh pAsurams (poems), to the people of eight (all) directions and make them realize (his glories).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Highlights from <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/14\/nanjiyar-english\/\">nanjIyar<\/a>&#8216;s vyAkyAnam:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Like <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> said in thiruvAimozhi 8.7.2 &#8220;<em>irunthAn kaNdu koNdu<\/em>&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> stayed in my heart looking at me with great love), here\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\">madhurakavi AzhwAr<\/a> says &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> stayed there mercifully glancing at him&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li><em>paNdai valvinai<\/em> &#8211; time immemorial &#8211; the origins of these strong sins not traceable. Since there is an end for the <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">AthmA<\/a> in this samsAram (as there is an opportunity to reach paramapadham), it might be inferred as having a start in samsAram (but since the existence of <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">AthmA<\/a> in this samsAram is said as anAdhi in sAsthram, there is no beginning for these sins). These sins are neither atonable nor exhaustible by experiencing the fruits of the same (meaning it will take forever). <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> removed all those sins. He even removed the attachment towards <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> since that is a hurdle for bhAgavatha kainkaryam (which is the ultimate goal).<\/li>\n<li><em>eNdisaiyum aRiya iyambukEn<\/em> &#8211; I will speak this to both knowledgeable and ignorant people.<\/li>\n<li><em>oNdamizh<\/em> &#8211; Instead of being samskrutham\/vEdham as said in &#8220;<em>yathO vAchO nivarthanthE<\/em>&#8221; (words\/mind could not understand), this is easily understandable thamizh (dhrAvida vEdham).<\/li>\n<li><em>&#8220;satakOpan aruLaiyE<\/em>&#8221; &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s aruL (mercy) even captured the ones (me) who missed out <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>&#8216;s aruL (mercy).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Highlights from <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/16\/nampillai-english\/\">nampiLLai<\/a>&#8216;s eedu vyAkyAnam:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>kArimARap pirAn<\/em> &#8211; Out of gratitude, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\">madhurakavi AzhwAr<\/a> calls <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> as <em>pirAn<\/em> (one who does great favours). Specifically says &#8220;<em>kArimARap pirAn&#8221;<\/em> to distinguish from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> who is normally glorified as <em>pirAn<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><em>paNdai valvinai<\/em> &#8211; Many ancient hurdles such as attachment towards material desires, approaching <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> in improper ways like sUrpaNakA, considering kainkaryam to <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> as the ultimate goal, etc.<\/li>\n<li><em>pARRi aruLinAn<\/em> &#8211; dispelled them completely as mentioned in sAtyAyana sAkai &#8220;<em>dhvishantha: pApakruthyAm<\/em>&#8221; (fruits of sins\/vices are distributed to ones enemies while going to paramapadham).<\/li>\n<li>e<em>ndisaiyum aRiya iyambukEn<\/em> &#8211; Preaching to all who have the desire towards this matter. Like <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> said in thiruvAimozhi 5.2.2\u00a0&#8220;<em>thoNdIr ellArum vArIr&#8221;<\/em> (all devotees are welcome),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\">madhurakavi AzhwAr<\/a> also invites everyone following the footsteps of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Highlights from <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/periyavachan-pillai-english\/\">periyavAchchAn piLLai<\/a>&#8216;s vyAkyAnam:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This vyAkyAnam is mostly based on <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/16\/nampillai-english\/\">nampiLLai<\/a>&#8216;s vyAkyAnam.<\/li>\n<li><em>kaNdu koNdu<\/em> &#8211; On seeing me <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> was so happy like finding a treasure as I am the most suitable recipient (filled with inauspiciousness) for his mercy (which is great).<\/li>\n<li><em>ennai <\/em>&#8211; one who was so ignorant and did not even know the difference between <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> and other samsAris (materialistic people). Me who would not even comprehend <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s unconditional grace.<\/li>\n<li><em>kARimArap pirAn<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> himself says in gIthA &#8220;<em>suhrudham sarva bhUthAnAm<\/em>&#8221; (I am the well-wisher of everyone) &#8211; but <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s favours are even greater.<\/li>\n<li><em>oNdamizhch chatakOpan aruLaiyE<\/em> &#8211; oLLiya thamizh &#8211; beautiful thamizh. His aruL (mercy) towards me is greater than him singing thiruvAimozhi which was the refuge of great devotees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Highlights from <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/12\/15\/azhagiya-manavala-perumal-nayanar\/\">azhagiya maNavALa perumaL nAyanAr<\/a>&#8216;s vyAkyanam:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s auspicious qualities are highlighted in the beginning of this pAsuram&#8217;s commentary. gyAnam (knowledge), bhakthi (devotion), virakthi (detachment) and krupai (mercy) are some of his main qualities. gyAnam is focussed on <a href=\"%20http:\/\/ponnadi.blogspot.com\/p\/thathva-thrayam.html\">thathva thrayam<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">chith<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">achith<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/09\/thathva-thrayam-achith-what-is-matter\/\">Iswara<\/a>) &#8211; i.e., he is fully knowledgable in the three entities. bhakthi is focussed on Iswara, i.e., being devoted to <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> only. virakthi is focussed on <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">chith<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">achith<\/a>, i.e., being detached from self enjoyment and material pleasures. But beyond all of these he is filled with krupai towards others. His mercy is even greater than <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>&#8216;s and that is explained in this pAsuram.<\/li>\n<li><em>kaNdu<\/em> &#8211; Like it is said in mahAbhAratham sAnthi parvam 358.73 &#8220;<em>jAyamAnam hi purusham yam paschEth madhusUdhana: &#8230;<\/em>&#8221; (by the divine glance of madhusUdhanan emperumAn, the AthmA is blessed in the womb), <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> blessed me with his divine glance.<\/li>\n<li><em>koNdu<\/em> &#8211; Seeing my defects, still he accepted me.<\/li>\n<li><em>ennaik kaNdu, ennaik koNdu<\/em> &#8211; He bestowed his vision on me (who should not be seen due to my defects), accepted me (who was given up by everyone). Due to his acceptance, even <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> has to accept me.<\/li>\n<li><em>kArimARap pirAn<\/em> &#8211; he is not a pirAn like <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> who is svayambu (without any origin), he is the son of kAri (who comes in a very nice family which is devoted to <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li><em>pARRi<\/em> &#8211; changed\/dispelled my hurdles. Unlike <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> who said in gIthA 18.66 &#8220;<em>mAmEkam saraNam vraja &#8230; mOkshayishyAmi<\/em>&#8221; (surrender unto me, I will remove your hurdles), he already removed my hurdles without me surrendering unto him.<\/li>\n<li><em>endisaiyum&#8230;<\/em> &#8211;\u00a0 I will preach his glories to people who are considering themselves as independent and to those who are considering dhEvathAntharams will protect them.<\/li>\n<li><em>aRiya iyambukEn<\/em> &#8211; will speak so they know &#8211; as <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/20\/periyazhwar\/\">periyAzhwAr<\/a> said in thiruppallANdu 4 &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/06\/thiruppallandu-4-edunilam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>nAdu nagaramum nangaRiya<\/em><\/a>&#8221; (to make people of towns and cities realize). I will speak about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s mercy, how it materialized in my case, how my hurdles were dispelled and how I am blessed with singing the glories of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>srI jAmbavAn glorified <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> after he completing thrivikrama avathAram in &#8220;<em>dhEvA: svasthAnamAyAnthi dhaithyA: sarvE hathA gathA: | na bhayam vidhyathE kinchith jitham bhagavathA jagath ||<\/em>&#8221; (dhEvas are returning to their places. asuras are killed. there is no more fear. the world is won over by <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>). Here\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\">madhurakavi AzhwAr<\/a> glorifies <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>. There bhagavAn&#8217;s strength\/power is glorified. Here <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s compassion is glorified. There prayOjanAntharaparars (dhEvas &#8211; ones who are looking personal favours) benefited. Here ananyaprayOjanars (prapannas &#8211; ones who are looking to serve <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>\/bhAgavathas) benefited. There <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>&#8216;s mischief is revealed.
