<\/em>\u00a0all over the world<br \/>\nas said in \u2018<em>ippAr muzhudhum pOrththAn pugazh koNdu\u2019,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>en vAkku \u2013 <\/em>my speech<br \/>\n<em>uraiyAdhu \u2013<\/em> would not talk about<em>, and<\/em><br \/>\n<em>en manam \u2013 <\/em>my mind<br \/>\n<em>ninaiyAdhu \u2013 <\/em>would not think about &#8211;<br \/>\n<em>maRRonRai \u2013 <\/em>other worldly matters<br \/>\n<em>ini \u2013 <\/em>at all times in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Seeing his faculties getting affection towards <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> such that they don\u2019t consider other worldly matters, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> is loving that, and celebrating each such faculty of his by saying individually as <em>\u2018<\/em>my speech, my mind\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Some recite it as \u2018<em>adaindha<strong>dhaR<\/strong> pin vAkku uraiyAdhu, en manam ninaiyAdhu\u2019<\/em>\u00a0 (and has got same meaning).<\/p>\n<p>When asked<em> &#8211; parasurAma avathAram<\/em> is based on having the characteristics of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> applied on a <em>jIvAthmA <\/em>that would be having ahankAram <em>\u2013 <\/em>so it is not suitable for <em>mumukshus <\/em>to worship such incarnation; then why say <em>\u2018(pOkkiya dhEvanaip)<\/em> <em>pORRum punidhan\u2019?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>there is nothing wrong in those words \u2013 the words of praise is only based on <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> losing himself to such valor and help of winning the enemies, and is not worship.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\">AzhvArs<\/a> too lost themselves to that nature of Him winning the enemies and they praised based on that only when they sang \u2018<em>mannadanga mazhu valangaik koNda irAma nambi <\/em>[periyAzhvAr thirumozhi &#8211; 5.4.6]<em>\u2019, <\/em>and <em>\u2018venRi mA mazhuvEndhi mun maN misai mannarai mUvezhu kAl koNRa dhEvA<\/em> [periya thirumozhi \u2013 5.3.1]\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>kOkkula mannarai \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>in thrEthA yugam, there was a <em>(kshathriya) <\/em>king named <em>kArthavIryArjunan <\/em>who was having valour, and was living without any enemies; one day he went to the place of <em>jamadhagni muni<\/em> <em>, <\/em>and without any premeditation, due to his pride as a king, had troubled that <em>muni <\/em>and returned<em>; <\/em>\u00a0<em>parasurAma AzhvAn <\/em>who is the son of that saint heard this matter, and getting very angry he himself killed that king , and \u00a0not able to contain his anger on his father getting wronged, he decided to kill all the kings of kshathriyas, and so he killed all the kings, and went for doing <em>thapas<\/em>,<\/p>\n<p>and as again the <em>kshathriya <\/em>kings started ruling strongly, he saw that and again went and killed them; repeating this killing of kshathriya kings for twenty one generations, it is well known that he did all this, and he used their blood to do <em>thila tharpaNam <\/em>(using sesame seeds); by <em>kOkkulam<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a> describes that parasurAman went after and killed only those kings who were born as kshathriya, and he did not disturb kings born in some other <em>varNam<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>kOkkula mannarai \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>those kings who were born in <em>kshathriya <\/em>family only, and not those who became kings due to their wealth who were born in some other clan.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>mUvezhukAl \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>count of three times seven; \u00a0as said in \u2018<em>irupaththoru kAl arasu kaLai katta <\/em>[thiruvAimozhi \u2013 6.2.10]\u2019 \u2013 that is twenty one generations (of <em>kshathriya <\/em>kings);<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>oru kUr mazhuvAl \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>Since that axe is the identity of <em>parasurAma AzhvAn<\/em> who is an incarnation based on getting the characteristics of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> in a <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">jeevAthmA<\/a> (<em>AvESa avathAram), <\/em>it is unequalled, and is having sharpness for killing the kings of twenty one generations;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pOkkiya dhEvanai &#8211; <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">sarvESvaran<\/a> having the glow that is based on destroying the enemies; these matters of performance are based on His play as part of his incarnation, and it is talking about such incarnation having such play;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/parasurama.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12037\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/parasurama.jpg\" alt=\"parasurama\" width=\"287\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/parasurama.jpg 287w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/parasurama-172x300.jpg 172w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 287px) 100vw, 287px\" \/><\/a><em>parasurAmar<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pORRum<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>) doing <em>mangaLASAsanam; <\/em>taking refuge;<\/p>\n<p>as said in \u2018<em><a href=\"http:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/4-8\/\">vinASAya cha dhushkruthAm<\/a>\u2019<\/em>, they lose to the quality of virtue of destroying the enemies of His devotees. and they sing praises of Him, you see!<\/p>\n<p>But, in <em>mAhAbharatham, pAncharAthram, <\/em>etc., and by our preceptors (<em>pUrvAchAryas), <\/em>it is said many times and in many ways that brahmA, rudhran, arjuna, vyAsa, kAkuthsa, jAmadhagni muni, et al, are not worshippable; \u00a0is it apt to say <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> praised parasurAma AzhvAn?<\/p>\n<p>Since that incarnation is based on the quality of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> getting into the <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">jeevAthmA<\/a> (<em>AvESa avathAram, <\/em>unlike SrI rAma, krishNa, etc., incarnations where <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> himself incarnated here), it is only said here that <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> was lost to the valor of such quality due to emperumAn, and it is not said that <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> worshipped him; so there is no contradicting act here;<\/p>\n<p>As said in \u2018<em>mannadanga mazhu valangkaik koNda irAma nambi <\/em>[periyAzhvAr thirumozhi &#8211; 5.4.6]<em>\u2019, <\/em>and <em>\u2018venRi mA mazhuvEndhi mun maN misai mannarai mUvezhu kAl koNRa dhEvA<\/em> [periya thirumozhi \u2013 5.3.1]\u2019, were said by ones who got non-blemished knowledge, based only on losing to such quality of nature of destroying the enemies (of His devotees).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>punidhan &#8211; <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0One having very pure nature due to performing mangaLASAsanam, and who can make those who surrender to him become equal to him as said in \u2018<em>Athma sAmyavahathvAth\u2019 \u2013 <\/em>having such noble purity.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>bhuvanam engum Akkiya keerththi \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>As said earlier as \u2018<em>ip pAr muzhudhum pOrththAn pugazh koNdu\u2019<\/em> \u2013 having fame that is spread in the whole world;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>adaindha pin <\/em><\/strong>&#8211; after reaching\/surrendering<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>irAmAnusanai <\/em><\/strong><em>\u2013<\/em> to such <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>;<\/p>\n<p>here some recite as \u2018<em>adaindha<strong>dharp<\/strong> pin\u2019<\/em>, and there is no difference in meaning.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>ini maRRonRai \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>at all times in the future,<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>en vAkku uraiyAdhu, en manam ninaiyAdhu \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>whereas at earlier times my speech which was spending time on meaningless words, and meaningless praising of glory (of others), after surrendering to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> it would only praise the glories of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>\u2019s qualities and not praise about any other matter; whereas at earlier times my mind was thinking bad things by itself, after surrendering to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> it would at all times be thinking about divine qualities of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> only, and would not think about other things;<\/p>\n<p>It is to be said as \u201c<em>thriNIkritha virinchAdhi nirankuSa vibhUthaya:\u00a0 rAmAnuja padhAmbhOja samASrayaNa SAlina: <\/em>\u201c [prArthanA panchakam \u2013 by <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/kurathazhwan\/\">kUraththAzhvAn<\/a>] (One who is dedicated to rAmAnujar\u2019s lotus feet, would ignore all the worlds (of leelA vibhUthi) as a grass\/dust).<\/p>\n<p><strong>From AzhwAr thirunagari SrI u.vE. vidhwAn thirumalai nallAn chakravarththi rAmakrishNa iyengAr\u2019s \u2018<em>amudha virundhu<\/em>\u2019 :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>oru kUr mazhu<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Implying the greatness of the one axe, as praised by <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhvAr<\/a> (<em>venRi neeN mazhu <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAmozhi<\/a> \u2013 6.2.10]), and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\">thirumangai AzhvAr<\/a> (<em>venRi mA mazhu<\/em> [periya thirumozhi \u2013 5.3.1]);<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> explains about the types of incarnations, like that of SrI rAma, parasu rAma, kArthaveeryArjunan, in the vyAkyAnam of <a href=\"http:\/\/ponnadi.blogspot.in\/p\/thathva-thrayam.html\">thathva thrayam<\/a> sentence that starts with \u2018<em>vidhiSiva vyAsa jAmadhagni arjuna\u2019, <\/em>and it is also explained in the vyAkyAnam of periyAzhvAr thirumozhi 3.9.2 \u2018<em>en vil vali kaNdu\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>adaindha pin en vAkku &#8230; maRRonRaiyE \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>Earlier when I would hold to something, my mind would think something (else), and my speech would say something; but after surrendering to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> it is not like that; he kept my speech and mind to be focussed on him without any distraction and he thus changed me; it happened due to the distinguished matter (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>) being of such nature, says <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/26\/thiruvarangathu-amudhanar\/\">amudhanAr<\/a>;<\/p>\n<p>Relishing upon seeing his mind and speech staying put with <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>, he celebrates those faculties saying \u2018my mind, my speech\u2019, etc.<\/p>\n<p>When already used the word \u2018<em>pin\u2019<\/em> (after), was it necessary to use the word \u2018<em>ini<\/em>\u2019 (hereafter)?
